Seeing as how this is the first day with this update, I'm thinking you might have to wait a little while to find out if it's every time...

I can't wait to get from work tomorrow morning now to see if I get any free paint, this will be fantastic if you get paint chips everyday. I didn't get any when I installed the patch but I had already got my museum cards for today.

The only thing I don't about the update is that you can no longer adjust the TCS or ASM via the RA function in practice mode or A-spec. You can do so in arcade mode though.

I haven't been able to check, but do "losses" count to your online profile as well?

I'd hate to join a race, get my rx7 obliterated by an x1, and have very low win ratio's...

is there a win/loss ratio? i checked my 'profile' and it only shows my ASPEC wins(as in victory against mindless AI 👎)

You can now grind races without having to reload them, you can just do it from the menu after you have finished the race.

Although grinding sucks, this does make it a bit better and less annoying.

Finally PD is starting to listen to us! All hope is not lost!

Agreed. I have been so disappointed what we got Nov 24th that I hardly play. Thank goodness video gaming evolves around the internet. Added content is huge as it adds longevity. They can slowly make GT5 what it should have been on release day. They can add content all the way up until GT6 for all I care.

So, has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like this?

Huh, come again. I couldn't make this out.

lol. I read that a couple of times and it hurt my brain. :ouch:

This update makes me want to freeze myself and see what this game will be like in a year. They're trying, which is more than can be said for most developers. I bet all the kinks will be ironed out eventually. :)

Well they had to try. With the reviews and the complaints this title has gotten, I am sure its embarrassing to both PD and Sony. GT is suppose to be the God of racing games. If they want to keep it that way, they have to show us what they have been working on for 5-6 years. Now it will be 6-8 years with patches and DLC. Keeping up with the industry is key. We shouldn't have to depend on GT6 to fix what should already be in GT5.

:ouch: game data backup! my hard drive file system corrupted late last night (4am) and is done-ski. this is my luck. lvl 26, 200 wins, 82 cars, including the infamous formula gt. well if this miracle seatools fix doesn't get my drive to boot you guys will never hear from me again. watch the news in nashville

I like the HUD option finally, and I'm looking forward to playing without the dials and gear indicator for once. I think I'm still so reliant on the blinking red Gear Change indicator to gauge my braking points that I don't actually learn where on the track I need to brake. Not having that indicator light flashing will now force me to learn properly where I should be braking, as it should be! Hurrah! All in all a brilliant, surprisingly filled out update, and really great support from PD, this game is just going to get better and better. This heals any wounds I may have had a out certain areas, them improving it over time is far superior to either not seeing the game for another year or it simply remaining flawed. Best of a bad situation and proud of PD for the support after release. Other developers may have taken the money and ran with it. Kudos.

Thanks PD for the no H.U.D ... I'm a positive critique of PD but man .. you guys did great on this one (update patch) 👍

Louder car engine sounds when driving through tunnels would be a small but great addition next 💡 but I'll wait ... you give us plenty to enjoy great work guys !!!!!!!

Sort Options are permanent now. If you sort by Power or weight or whatever, when you come back, it'll still be sorted that way. Some thing when switching between Standard, Premium and favorites

Loving every part of this update patch

It's the little things that count :)

If they keep this up on a monthly or even bi-monthly basis, I think this game will really start to come together very quickly

Hell, I love it already lol

Can anyone confirm if you get A-Spec XP Points for winning races online?

Jerome

I couldn't be more pleased with this update. I was just chatting with a friend the other day about how the game was released unfinished and I hoped that PD knew it because they seem to mention GT6 enough that I was worrying not many major fixes were in store as they jumped to another dev cycle.

Then they go and do this! Big thumbs up to the PD gang! Please keep responding to the community rather than taking for granted that we're loyal and burning us for it (are you listening Activision?).

Just a quick thought, if the patches are accumulative.. Does it mean we probably need to download previous_update_size+new every time when a new one comes out?

It's gonna get bigger and bigger! Hope they do it like what they did with GT5P where they roll up all the updates into "Spec I" (kinda like Windows XP Service Packs) and then add more updates on top of that. I can't imagine downloading 600mb+, not to mention it will take a while too..

You can edit the length of time to wait for finishers in online races. Up to 180 secs
Players country flag displayed by name in online lobby/pits

This is good. Now they need to do the same with pre-race car configuration. TCS is always set to 5 by default (I want it OFF by default) and sometimes (I don't know if it depends on the events or if it's random) the transmission is set to automatic. What the hell! So it happens that I don't even notice it, I start the race and realize I can't change gears :ouch:

Just a thought, but can it be that they changed the roof-view to a hood-view? I never used the roof-cam, so I'm not that familiar with its angle, but when I was just driving my new Caterham, I could swear that this was more a hood-view than a roof one? I already was thinking about it, when I drove the Maserati before that...there I had the same impression.
Can anyone confirm this?

I got a theory on the save game back up. I read about it in the manual and it says it backs up ya save and it can only be put on the same ps3 where ya were signed into the ps3 when the save was created. What if ya create the save and ya not even signed into the ps3 network....would that save be able to be shared? I just wonder.
