Good news guys. I just dropped my 1/4 time to 8.587 with the Escudo. Still major traction problems.
My car is not hybrid.Originally posted by bondy_1625
i could say 'well i can get 5 seconds in my civic' but im not like some people here on gtplanet *cough*masterblaster*cough*
i dont use hybrids to whoop/ every1 online theyre just for my satisfaction only
so the fastest i can get in the 0-400m is about 8.9 with my ruf rgt
No problem man. I just wanted people to know that this car was not a hybrid. If anyone wants my setting I will post them up. I am sure this car can go faster with traction.Originally posted by bondy_1625
i know and i respect that the fact that you can say that i can do the 400m in a fraction over 8 seconds is worthy of my respect!
but if some hybrid crazy mad modifier came and posted a time of 2.455 in a mini id be dissapionted that some people arent good enough so they have to cheat
i was never meant to offend u and it sort of didnt come out how i was portraying it. but that is a nice time, hence respect dude!!👍

I see a lot of people here talking about starting in 2nd gear.
I wonder why you do it.
If you are going to be running a dedicated 1/4 mile, you would expect to have 4-5 shifts depending on how long it takes your car to shift.
You would want your car to have a fairly tall 1st gear, this way you still have traction and yet accelerate. Then attempt to get gears 2-6 so that you run through each and are just at then end of the powerband in 6th gear as you pass the 400m mark. Seems like you are handicapping yourself if you start in 2nd or 3rd. Why not just set 1st to that ratio and start in 1?
Springs fairly strong for 4wd cars, little lighter in the back, more so in RWD cars
Vcd somewhere between 40 and 30 (front) seems like best, 50/50 may work best, but i doubt it with the weight transfer.
Car should be as low as possible (i dont know why raising any part of the car should help you).
Bound and rebound set to reasonable levels. probably pretty high. Bound lower than rebound.
You want supersoft tires and down force all the way off.
Limited slip will mean nothing to you here, its a perfect track so if you can set it to 0 go ahead and do so (ie force 50/50 distribution rear).
If you can get a launch without traction control then do so, otherwise you want it as low as possible while still preventing wheelspin.
Seems what should work to me.
