That one is baller. Someone was just posting about how that was stolen from the factory.

You know what's more strange, Johnnyboy? I've found neither!

No really, it's not that strange if you think about it. Suppose the cases sent to your stores didn't have the GT-R or Chevelle. Suppose someone else just happened to beat you to the punch. Suppose there's a scumbag employee snatching all the goodies.

The last one is why I'll probably never see the Datsun Wagon $TH ever... it's really awkward when you have a walmart employee come up to you and ask "did you find anything good?"

It's awkward not because I didn't expect an employee to talk to me about it, it's awkward because it's like a taunt... "did you find anything good?" "Nope. Not when you're working here!"

Just paid $30 with shipping for 7 of the Matchbox VW MK5 GTi's. Works out to $4.30 each, not bad I think. Now come the expensive ones. Need to wait for another big overtime check.

Seems legit......
There is no Tomica Town!

Yet. :mischievous:

Edit: Have you noticed that both versions of the Bluebird are already sold out on AmiAmi? Didn't think they would both go that quickly.
I think what yabi's after are those hard display cases some M2's come in. With M2, or Hot Wheels collectibles, cars are screwed onto the black plastic base, and clear plastic cover snaps onto the base. AutoWorld has similar cases, but cars are not secured onto the black base.

I know Andy buys soft plastic(blister type) type for storage, but not the M2 style.
Helpful, but incorrect unfortunately. I've got little plastic cases with holes to fit on retail store pegs. the M2 acrylic cases are the display cases with a base and acrylic cover.

Ah, I was way off lol. Thanks for the clarification guys. 👍

Edit II: This is damn cool and has @R1600Turbo name all over it. Link.

A color shift 67 Camaro. It changed from dull green to blue, despite never touching water.

70 Chevelle SS wagon, I had to have a Chevelle, I'll never find a coupe...

Those color shifters are really sensitive to air temps too. My blue 24/Seven changed to white and hasn't changed back.
I'd rather it be black with blue flames, but I'm not sure that's a color...

Also, when it cools down or heats up to room temperature again, will it go back to dull green? Or will it stay blue/black/whatever the other color is?

temp is what changes them, cold/ hot water gives extremes, (kids used to play in tub).
Yeah, I know, but when it goes back to room temperature, will it return to the color I bought it in? Or will it stay what it was when I took it out of the water?

Was hoping that you would do a size comparison shot with the Alto. 👍 Got damn that truck is huge! And @jtl46 wasn't kidding about that ladder.

Not a huge fan of Long Gone, but I liked this one & now it's loose.

Hot Wheels Pop Culture Hot Tamales Long Gone

Received three more TLVs:

Was hoping that you would do a size comparison shot with the Alto. 👍 Got damn that truck is huge!
And very well detailed, too. As for the Alto, I wanted to use a smaller car, and from the same era. Perfecto. :D

You like the Long Gone, but do you like Hot Tamales?

No? Sorry, but your post is therefore irrelevant.

Why? Because I said so.

:P

American candies are overrated. You are Asian. YOU KNOW THIS!

Looks it. Digging the Bluebird in the colour too. Curse you. 👍
Gunmetal gray was my favorite color on that car when it was new. Perfecto again!
Japanese candy is top tier, but they're in another league. Hot Tamales is not for the weak though. Hmmpf!
I visited Korean store today, their candy isn't bad either. American candy can be a big hit, or absolute miss for me. :D

The Hot Tamales livery would've looked better on a Chevelle, because a Chevelle is a hot tamale. :)

Yes this was sarcasm.

Today's acquisitions: Found some new M2 releases.

'51 Studebaker Pickup w/Snow Plow. They also had a clean version, but a dirty snow plow truck is cooler. They also had a couple of the old Chevy/GMC pickups that were painted up in park ranger colors. I passed on them, but regret leaving them behind.

And these two, well let's see if muscle car expert @Cano can guess correctly the difference between them.

I gotta say, M2's quality control is really spotty. I have to pull all the cars out and look at each one to pick out the best car with the least amount of quality issues. And I'm not sure why they insist on propping open the passenger doors on these things, but it always makes the door not want to close properly.
