Looks like the car is a half/half casting like the Miata, except this time the lower half is plastic. 👎 I bet they did that so that when they did the 007 under water casting for the Retro series, they only had to make a different casting for the bottom half instead of a whole new car.

Edit: Digging this 2015 release of the Vanster.

I'll make a badass hot wheels customs, and then auction a wheel-less TLV along with a bunch of turd castings for 99 cents. So much disrespect in one go.
You are one sick puppy.
That would be because I've never mentioned it. :P While disappointing at first, my pain was eased with how awesome the rest of stuff I received was. :D
That's good to hear. Believe it or not, I just(and I mean 'just') went through a similar ordeal. That Greenlight Durastar flatbed I ordered from eBay? Seller mistakenly shipped the standard tow truck with my order. I tried contacting the seller, but eBay automatically opened a frigging case on the transaction. I felt bad, because the seller was very professional. Seller promptly replied saying I can keep the Durastar tow truck & that he will ship the flatbed to me tomorrow.

Very happy with the 'above & beyond' service, hate to see good(and friendly) seller lose money. :ouch: I am glad to hear that you were generally happy with the cars that you did receive from Dabox. 👍
Good to hear. 👍 And $18 shipping for eight cars doesn't sound high to me at all. Bargain.
Insured, big & heavy, I guess it's pretty good!
Just arrived in Japan. I immediately headed to Akihabara, and these are my 1/64 hauls for now. :)
........ These Norev things, they seemed to be awfully nice for $4 cars? Also, that Gulliver64 Taxi is what I want this Christmas. Thank you, Santa. :P P.S. Great pics!

Good eyes, I didn't even notice that. Does suck that half of it appears to be plastic but still not enough to turn me off of it. Love Esprit's.

Top rate seller right there. 👍 And you're getting another Flatbed?

Oh okay. That's good. Tres good. My wallet feels a little better.

Exclusives-wise, money's all on the challenger if anything.

Lot of movements in their TLV inventory. Part of their great service though. Between AmiAmi, Japan Booster/crosssea222 & Plamoya, I was able to get just about all cars I wanted & for fair price.

That Michael Keaton Batmobile thing with pin stripes, it looks SO good.

Edit:

Wow. Just wow. Who'd have expected this TLV to come back on a backorder?

Too bad I already recently got one on eBay. Mine was $73 & change, shipped, so I didn't do too bad.

You and your service vehicles.

What's new with it? What's cool? What's special? Tell us a story.
In addition to the usual collector value(expensive, coveted, discontinued), it's probably the biggest TLV(transporter don't count) & one of the best detailed. It's the friggin Cadillac of TLVs!

I don't get caught up on service vehicles. TLV just happens to do them real well. I've spent many times more money on their race/sports cars.

Got these after seeing this at a car show.

One of 20 in orange for 2008.
Back to cars.

Finally got the GTR at a Target, it was the last one on the pegs. Then got the f150 at Wallmart.
K day looks good. Probably won't go because I might have to work at 8 am but I'll try and get some leftovers like last year. Definitely will try and get that Challenger.

I may have to call it quits on the DB5 castings. I'll probably say yes now, but be bored of them 2 years later.

Addiction. It's tough. Toy cars look so collectible some part of me just has to have it... like Grrrrr!

Luckily the hype wears off some time later so I learn from it at least, just like how I'm predicting a bad end to the DB5s. I've only got one so far. It will be easy to quit now while I can. That Shelby Cobra though, there's no turning back lol

Maybe it's just because I have an income to spoil myself on all the toys my parents never bought me when I actually was a kid back then. Parents aren't at fault, I'm still a kid inside.

Speaking of changing minds, if anyone wants my Nissan Hardbody trucks, Ford Focus drag cars, Ford Escort Rally's, Ford Focus RS or Ford Fiesta's, I'll entertain offers. :P

Aos... you sound like me with pretty much anything with a paint scheme that reminds me of a race car... lol... if its numbered I will buy it like a crack head lol...

unfortunatly the older I get that urge to purchass hasnt declined any....

That's most people who are blinded by brand name logos or character designs, regardless of what product has their logo on it. Coach makes handbags. They want to plaster their logo on it? Fine. They want to plaster their logo on phone cases, fake nails and other accessories that don't relate to their product line? Uh no. Phone cases are the best example of how bad logo-smearing gets. Have you seen a Lamborghini-branded phone case before?

I find it really stupid people gobble up this level of marketing.

sadly I have seen a lamborghini phone case... with official liscensing, as well as golf balls and tees... I can think of much better things to spend my $150 on than 6tees that will be broken and 4 balls that will be lost... like... a whole bunch of hotwheels lol
