So, does Gran Turismo have the option to TOTALLY customize cars, decals and all? I'm a Forza person (exposed!!!) Forza Horizon rules.

So, instead of a barn find, today I had a bin find. I found three trashed Lesneys, a Mazda, Maserati, and AMX. I'll post pics later.

Nope, just a feature for Forza.

As in wait for the real IDx? Good luck with that. :P

Indeed. Disappointing that Nissan won't be putting the IDx into production. Such a cool car.

Edit: Nice little feature on the TLV Autobacs Bluebird Silhouette on the Lamley blog. Linky. That Silva silhouette is sick too, TLV so need to add that to the lineup.

Running out of room, I decided to just open this Greenlight Bronco:

I wasn't that sure about this one when I picked it up locally, but it's grown on me. :)
DJSGFJKBGKJFDBHDFKJHKDJGBSADGHLGTKJMNHÑFLJKLB!!!!
These COE trucks aren't actually 1/64 though, are they? They'd be so money if they were in scale with their passenger cars.
Got the Trix 62 chevy, also saw the boo berry mig rig but no Texas drive em'.
So jealous about the '62 Custom Chevy, but look what I found today at Walmart:

OK, I lied. I figured I probably won't find the Texas Drive 'Em in stores, so I bought the cheapest one I could find online. Matchbox Toyota, I did just pick up on the way home though(for my nephew). :D I count on finding the '62 Custom Chevy & that Brute whatever wagon thing in stores. Texas Drive 'Ems are scalper magnet.

Totally agree with you & @jtl46 on the Silvia. One of the most famous Silhouette racers, if not the most...... and those 80's rims!!! and that perm on the guy to the far left of the car!!!

I never cared for Forza(don't play any GTs anymore either), but being able to customize the looks of the cars you race online was an awesome feature on that game. 👍

Running out of room

I notice you buy a lot of box sets. Out of sheer curiousity, how much space are you consuming and how much space have you allocated or had to expand on to accommodate the current volume and anticipated volume for the future?

Remember when you always said you can't take good pics because you have a crap point-n-shoot camera?

Remember what I told you? :mischievous:

It's still crap. Not gonna change my mind. ;)

Got other stuff to post too, but it's late, I've been on airplanes all day, and I'm not going to be able to keep my eyes open much longer.

Boxes & blister packs(Greenlight, RLC, M2, etc.) takes most spaces. I buy these $4 boxes to store everything, except loose cars. I store my cars in closets.

As for future expansion, I don't want to.

I've been able to retard the growth in the size & bulk of my collection by discarding packaging(going loose), selling them off, or gifting them. Another thing that's helped me is my shift from carded cars to TLVs. TLVs come in tiny boxes, and they don't take any room at all. 👍
Oh yeah. How much?
Probably like in my area: $16 & change. *I forgot, you guys are separating the vehicles.

There's no point in being stubborn about it. I told you before you can produce decent material with a point-and-shoot and you've proven that yourself just now. No more excuses, brah. That photo came out as clear as my average photo. 👍

Land%2BRover%2BDefender%2B(2014%2BExplorers).jpg

2014 Explorers. Really don't like that gray.

Caterham%2BR500%2B(2014%2BAdventure%2BCity).jpg

2014 Adventure City. A bit lacking on details. No headlights, plain coloured seats. I should touch it up.

BMW%2BRTP%2BR1200%2B(2014%2BHeroic%2BRescue).jpg

2014 Heroic Rescue. :D Diffused the LED for this.

Blaze%2BBlitzer%2B(2014%2BMBX%2BAirport).jpg

2014 Airport. Don't need no Master Amberlamps.

And finally...

Ford%2BTaurus%2BInterceptor%2B(2014%2BHeroic%2BRescue%3AMarshal).jpg

Ford%2BTaurus%2BInterceptor%2B(2014%2BHeroic%2BRescue%3AMarshall).jpg

2014 Heroic Rescue, both "MARSHAL" and "MARSHALL" variants. Also found a "MARSHALL" with a 2mm tampo slide on the black ink layer. Decided it wasn't worth grabbing.

That's all my recent local Matchbox finds. I had lost hope for the local sources.

Oh really is it? All the more reason why it should be included in the TLV range then. 👍

Didn't notice before. Thanks for pointing him out.

I have no experience with Car-Nel, but you guys may want to check these out:

S30: White Red Hakosuka: Silver White

They are available from AmiAmi(top row), but as usual, they have microscopic photos, so I linked another site. I was just getting on to pay a bill when I noticed those cars on the top selling list.

I'm no expert, but S30 looks crap.

I'd love to have a quality one, so it was hard for me to pass those up. Especially in red. Hakosuka looks maybe average at best. I did preorder the silver thinking better safe than sorry. I rather make a $25 mistake than miss out on something potentially special(and $50 by the time I'm convinced I want one lol).
Really don't like that gray.
Ditto. I haven't touched any MBX with that color, including the 4Runner.

I know nothing about Silhouette racing, but that Silvia was very popular in Japan when I was growing up over there. Yes, I also used to see samurais, ninjas & dinosaurs on the way to school(uphill bothways, knee-deep in snow). Haha, preemptive Japanese old guy humor.
Didn't notice before. Thanks for pointing him out.
I just hope that TLV include a figure of that guy instead of the race car driver, like with the Silhouette Bluebirds & Skylines. 👍

Walmart had bunch of those releases, but I forgot to check out the NSX.

I finally did get to see the R2D2 and Darth Vader from the Star Wars series, but they were easy pass. Rest of the series looked even worse.

Yeah and I used to travel to school everyday in a Kangaroo's pouch........

I quite like the look of that, especially in red.

Not enough to make me order one lol. Real interested to see how the Hakosuka you ordered looks though. 👍

829 was on top of this stuff.

CAR_NIS_FAI_S30_01.jpg

For $25(roughly, shipped), they gotta do better than this, at least for me. I'd happily pay $12 for the S30.

Let's stay on top of the Rai's 1/64 police cars though(from the 829 Japan article). They look money.

It seems to have better foundation for a custom than the HW casting.

Oh. Thanks for the links on yet another site I never heard of. Will take several tries to find my way through that. 👍

Little rich ain't it? Personally I'd rather pick up a TLV or two for that kind of money. Still all four of the Car-nel releases do look rather good.

Yeah quite like the R32 and the Fairlady, they both look the goods. Something to keep an eye on for sure. Thanks for linking that article. 👍

See what you've done Shinji!? Poor Andy.

I wouldn't bother looking around, @AOS- Most of those Japanese shops don't ship overseas, and that particular one, I don't think they even give discounts. I suppose you just wanted to browse. :D

On the Rai's police cars, I'm not sure which one I would want(they seem little rough around the edges, too), but if AmiAmi get them, and for decent price, I may go for the S30, maybe R34? I don't know yet!

2:05 AM on the day of a Kday, and also a model train and toy sale. I'm hoping to make it to the latter since there's more things I want there. I'm likely going to go back to Kmart after the Kday part of the day is over for the leftovers. Not really a big deal to me anyway. :indiff:

Thought you didn't like those anymore.

Sold my entire NSX collection, including highly-demanded green Speed Machines that goes for $22, for $58USD, or 65CAD. :) :) :)

I can recognize the kanji for Kyosho after looking at several listing on Rakuten. I'm happy he's linking me to sites unheard of, but alas I have to agree with "Poor Andy" in literal terms. :[

Nope. I actually was looking to buy. I posted a link about Karuwaza having a huge sale on their Kyosho inventory. Some dude who shared it with me is now my personal mail forwarder for Japan-based orders. In that site, I found plenty of goods you can't find- or will find for higher prices- on eBay.

You ever heard of Kyosho releasing a BMW 3.5 CSL in full BMW racing livery? Yeah, I didn't either. ;)
