Still don't like the 2015's tapered tail. I do like that they went and put a print on the pony emblem in the front though.

Even if I did, I don't remember either. We both suck.

You know what doesn't suck? This 1996 Target Black Convertible Collection 1989 Custom Chevrolet Corvette Convertible*

*Try saying that whole line as if you were selling it to some sucker watching a 2am infomerical.

$80 + shipping, which he charged me $12 for and the price on the postage sticker said $6.80. :grumpy:
I hate that. I very rarely overcharge by few cents. Most of the time, I lose money. At least the price on the car sounds reasonable.

It doesn't suck, but it doesn't do much for me either.

.... but that's not all! If you are one of the first 200 callers, we'll double your order!

I feel you on this. Maybe my photography wasn't compatible with its black magic. :P I was never fond of the Custom Corvette, but somehow the slim front end grew on me... maybe because it reminded me of a Trans-Am Firebird. I don't know.

.... but that's not all! If you are one of the first 200 callers, we'll double your order!

We'll also throw in a special DVD showcasing all other Target Black Convertible Collection Custom Convertible Cars! Camaros, Cougars, Cadillacs, Catnip, and Camrys!

Getting this one out of the way:

I was about to ruin those wheels.

Funny you say that because amiami do have both back in stock now. Just felt I should point that out, if you weren't aware of it already. :mischievous:
I'm still not doing it, but I hate you right now.......

💡

Do you wanna trade? :dopey:

I was surprised by it, because your black magic photography generally makes even lame cars pretty fantastic. I always have to remind myself that, even if it looks good in Andy's pics, it's not worth buying.
OK. I bought both in pairs, so I was just curious...... I do prefer red though. It's purdier. :P

Oh jeez. That's.... really something. Dem prints on the dashboard and airbag emblem...

I always have to remind myself that, even if it looks good in Andy's pics, it's not worth buying.

I will make it a mission to persuade some of you with some cars. I have succeeded in the past before, but those were piece-of-cake Minichamps livery-bombed Porsches. The car itself did half the work. Those shouldn't count.

Edit: Have you heard of Oversteer? There's a feature on 829 Japan on the MX-5 they just released, that detail. Damn.
The interior...... That's just nuts.

@Spacegoat - I just searched "oversteer" on AmiAmi & they do sell them. Only model currently available though are Toyota 86, in many colors a la Gran Turismo Skyline. lol

Andy, it's too early to positively judge Oversteer 1/64s, because the majority of those Toyota 86 GT photos on Google don't leave a strong impression.

Some helpful dude left a comparison between Kyosho (left) and Oversteer (right):

I haven't cared a whole lot for the 86/BRZ/FRS car so I don't have a clue which one looks more accurate.

Yeah I just searched myself. Little surprised at how cheap they are, not really interested in their 86 but if the Mazda is similar in price...............maybe, I'm not sure, something to keep an eye on. Thanks for posting the comparison pic too, Andy. 👍

Anyone still have the last release of the Ford F-150 on the pegs somewhere around them? I think it was orange. I need a couple of them.

So. ):

After going back and forth on it for a while because I trully didn't want to because I like how they look there, I've decided to take all of my cars off my display shelf. They're deteriorating far too much from acumulating dust, grim and dog hair, and there are far too good pieces in there to keep subjecting them to such neglect.

So, I've hatched a plan of action. Since they are about 340 cars, I really can't afford the time to take them all down at once since they are pretty filthy and cleaning some of them takes time, so I'll do it little by little, and I'll make this thread a part of it. First, I'll take a picture of the display so you can see how it sits right now, complete with dust and stuff. Then I'll try to take down, completely clean off and take pictures of at least one or two cars per day, or more if time allows.

I'll share the pics here of course, and info on the cars if there's anything relevant to say about them, so you'll have a good chance to see some of the most prominent pieces in my collection... altough to be fair, I haven't really changed the display much, and in the years it's been there, there are several pieces that have been added to my collection that would deserve to be there more than some that are actually there, but they are all still good pieces, I promise.

After all, it's been a while since I shared anything with you guys, even if I've kept on adding to my stash. Sounds like a plan?

Yes.

I can have a look for you, but the prices are back up to 1.55 now.

They are for customs so let me know.

You need these.

I'll get back to you tomorrow night on the F-150s. Is there a specific number of 'em you want?

=========

@Cano, GTP HW/MBX Thread Diaries. Yus.

On the topic of displays, I've been contemplating whether it'd be a bang for my buck (and time) if I spent the money on those Greenlight modular acrylic display cases instead of making my own. I had wanted to eventually have a display solely dedicated to the yellow Ferraris and all the misc. Kyosho models. A 6-pack costs $12.77 + shipping, but I'm going to have to contact Plastic World to see how much it will be for their sheets.

Or maybe I can get a whole bunch of those and build a foundation rack from the remaining K'Nex. K'Nex will be continually resizable, has structurally integrity, is light and the connectors already have holes I can rest on the nails on the wall. The only downside is that its mixed assorted colours will be a huge distraction to the display. Opinions are openly welcome.

I already have plans to make a fullsize display cabinet for my loose cars, I've been trhowing designs around but when I finally reach something I like, I'll just commision a friend who's pretty good working with wood (lol) to make it. It'll have glass and most likely illumnation and stuff. But those you suggest would be great for displaying the customs :0

One for sure, maybe two. I need the chassis for one so I can raise the Nissan Titan up to normal height, and then the second one was for a regular custom but it's not as important as the first one.

Got you a silver one. Do you need it to be an orange specifically?

Okay. I wasn't sure and I needed to leave Walmart so I only picked up the one. I'll grab the second one tomorrow.
