"Play with them (read: customising)"

Yes. And definitely not making engine noises and pushing them along the floor in a road trip around my bedroom floor. No siree.

You won't do it unless it's out of necessity. In the end, even with all the bad stuff happening around, it doesn't overcome the fact that we enjoy having these little useless pieces of metal with us, and some of us even still play with them (read: customizing), and yes, even if it would be pretty damn good to have an extra $1,200 lying around, you'd most likely just end up spending on these things again over time. Maybe differently, but you'd fall for it again because you don't really need to sell them to survive or something lol. And besides, we all like them. So stop whinning and get to spending  and if you have to deal with asshats along the way, yeah, just be done with it and move on.
I think I have decided to move ahead with it. As hard as it is, it'll be nice getting rid of the stress of which variation collecting creates. And likely save me money in the long run.

I'll still grab an M2 or an Auto World every now and then. TLV when I find one I want (which is getting to be less and less since I've pretty much grabbed everything I want from them) and the odd Greenlight that doesn't look funky.

-Was gonna say "finally we can have quality Ferrari models"
-Sees Maisto agreement
-Laughs out loud
Another exclusive license ruining the fun for everybody. Prices of HW Ferrari's are going to skyrocket, mark my words.

Well, I just spent 18 dollars on a bunch of hotwheels cars. Yeah, I think I'll need more room now.

You know, I still haven't shared a lot of the hotwheels cars I've collected over the course of my childhood. I wonder if I should share those.

Nothing cyber about model cars.

edit: The bburago news sure came as a surprise. At least we'll still have Kyoshos and their car "kits".

I saw one at work. I have no sentimental attachment to the car so I didn't even bother grabbing it as trade bait.

Matchbox m1. I thought it was called the 1m.
Apparently BMW now wants it called the "M1". After all the trouble they went through to make sure it was called the "1M" in the first place so people wouldn't confuse it with this:

....then they go and change their minds.

I don't even know what a Skoda is. (avatar)

But to make this post have more purpose:

I secured two identical lots of CM's cars. They still got all their packaging. I've already got some of them, but will likely either save them for a future sale or reserve them for the custom rally series I still have not started.

I put down a hefty bid for them, but even with the shipping added in, I'm paying less than I would if I bought them individual (plus shipping).

I'm more than happy to offer the selection to you guys* for a good price. I want to spread the love for Rally cars to other GTP members.

*No new members will be accepted. Must have GTP HW Membership :P

Would love to pick up more TLV's, but don't know which ones... :ouch: And I'm worried I'd get carried away and spend too much. X_x

Might pick up a Skyline RS-Turbo

Or a Carina.

Both factions tend to be folks who can't construct proper sentences, but are loud mouths.
I'm gonna go ahead & blame the smart phones.
I'm still cheesed about the eBay thing right now. And because this stupid thing kept me busy from homework for a good 3 hours, I'm really cheesed.
I hear you. :indiff: I sold five orders over the weekend, I just now discovered that I 🤬 up. On the machine, I typed in my own zip code to ship the package. It could get delivered without issues. Package could come back to me. Package could get to the buyer, but with postage due.

I told my guy what's going on & promised that I'll stay on top of it. I'm hoping he's a reasonable type, but I really messed up on this one. I am bummed.
I just seriously went through everything in my displays and wrote down what I would list each lot for and if they all sold for at least that number, I'd make over $1200. Some I think, like the Datsuns would go for much higher.

Despite the dollar signs dancing around in my head, this would really be one of the toughest decisions I would have made in my entire life. Its not easy.
I hope you are not serious. If the hobby matter that much to you, $1,200 is too small of payoff. I guess you have future savings by eliminating future purchases, but you could do that either way, whether you sell, or not sell the existing collection.

Personally though, I'd sell all errors and variants. They are way overrated. j/k

In a way, they are better than smoking, or drinking it away. You could always cash in on a popular collectibles, but not so cigarette ashes or beer your body recycled.
I keep forgetting how this was why Kyosho Ferraris, you had to put together yourself. By requiring assembly, they bypassed being categorized as a minicar/hot wheels.

While I think Mattel did a decent job with the Ferraris, I don't think I was all that impressed. I'm actually sort of scared(not nervous, "scared") to see what Maisto do with the Ferrari license, but I don't think Mattel deserved such a monopoly either.
Alright guys, more TLV added to the sales listings at Japan Booster for Cyber Monday:

TLV Cyber Monday Sale

Lots more cool models. Just went up a few minutes ago...
I'm passing on this after their spectacular Black Friday, but I really appreciate these hot tips. Thank you for keeping us in the loop!
Would love to pick up more TLV's, but don't know which ones... :ouch:
If you pick up that champagne Carina, I'll be so damn jealous......(I have white & yellow so far) <<< Yes, it's little weird, considering the car.
And I'm worried I'd get carried away and spend too much. X_x
Take it from me, that never happens with TLVs. Never. You can trust me, because I'm never sarcastic.
