For once I'm not just coming in here to whine at you guys not realizing milestones. :P I've recently been clearing out my wardrobe, and I found a few boxes of my old tracks from childhood. Most of it was incomplete junk, but I happened to find some gems within. @Cano, do you think you can shed some light on my finds, please? I'd also be willing to sell or even give away some of this stuff, would be better off going to a place where someone can enjoy it.

Also, this isn't really special but it could prove useful for a diorama or anything like that. Both doors open and close. Car pictured for size reference.

You may see me around a bit more, I'm slowly getting back into collecting, and I have lots of finds to show. :D

Lastly, OMG.

Some awesome stuff there! 👍 I wondered where you were.

In that fourth photo I can see you have the same fold up set as I do! :D

Hey thanks man. 👍 Yeah its a real cool fold up set, the stickers and stuff are all really mint, no fading or anything. Just missing some pieces is all. :(

I am so glad Andy isn't my supervisor..... wait. I already got one like him. :ouch: j/k Nice to see @SVX. We miss other members who go missing, too, but you created this thread, so you are required to stop by here on a regular basis. :P:tup:
@a6m5 I realized it was a Crown... :dunce: The listing said it was a Nissan Cedric. Also, it already sold.
I didn't even realize the error. I think AmiAmi still got those available on backorder, including the ZAMAC finish one I bought couple of months ago. Just search Tomica & Crown on there. 👍
Some pics of the 300C.
That's some diorama thing you got there. Nice. I got the same 300, too. 👍

Harry is nodding to your statement, somewhere near North Pole right now...... you guys are near there, right? lol

Any trees, bleachers, buildings, any vertical components to help create a stronger impression of a race track?

The problem is that it isn't something permanent. It's one of those foam board (I think). It gets moved around and hidden in a closet.

Ah. I see, I see. My all-white garage diorama is mobile too. It's one sheet of plastic for the floor, two sheets of plastic for the two only walls, and a bunch of diorama pieces. I store all the pieces in a small container, and fold up and store away the plastics like books on a shelf.

If you want to do something similar, you can make loose pieces you can place anywhere whenever you're in the mood for a photo shoot.

So I have now filled two of my three displays with TLV:

Which means it is time to start moving into the Hot Wheels/Matchbox display. The Kyosho that was in one of the displays is now displaced:

Waiting to take its spot in the third display. I have already cleared one row, and working on a second:

Eventually I will fill the third with TLV, then it I buy a fourth display.

Here are all the trucks/buses waiting for a display area of their own:

It's just "wow" every time to see your TLV collection.👍 Really like the silver/gray Kyosho hachiroku. Something about those 80's Toyota sports that really hits the spot.

Well guys, I've another model railroad and train show to go to in an hour. While I'll primarily be looking for railroad stuff, I just wouldn't be me if I didn't get a 1:64 car or two. I'll report back in a few hours with whatever I find. After that, I have a plan for a Fiat BMW M3 and Ford Interceptor. Obviously, those will be seen in the Customizing Thread. :)

That's simply an amazing collection.

Quick question: How many Suzuki Altos?

Thanks everyone. To answer the question, I have 3. They are next to two VW Golfs.

@a6m5 Do they sell to people in the US? Also with their items listed in JPY...

Also, of all things, after looking at that model for some time before it sold, this pops up on my Facebook news feed.

Didn't realize it came in green. Kinda like this color as well.

My brother was able to pick up a couple of Tomica's in Vietnam. (He picked the Spyker for himself)

Yes, they do ship to U.S. You can checkout with PayPal, so it's a fairly easy process.

As for the yen thing, I generally go with 100 yen = 1 dollar. So if your Crown was say ¥1200, I'd go with $12. I just typed "1200 yen" on Google & according to it, that's only just over $10 today.

Shipping, I recommend SAL Registered. It's cheap, it has tracking(you can even use USPS online tracking), and it's insured. Basic SAL has no tracking, no insurance, but it is dirt cheap, considering. I just ordered two cars, and to me on the west coast, it was like $3.50 regular SAL, and SAL Registered was around $7~$8.

Their backorder is generally reliable, though it can take a week or two. They have yet to let me down on a preorder, so that's a handy service, too.

Me & Spacegoat order stuff from them, about once a month. They are great!

P.S. I almost forgot. When you pay, PayPal will exchange your dollar to yen. Probably due to this exchange, it takes them little bit longer to take the funds from your account. I'm guessing, but I think it takes 3~4 days, or something like that for the money to disappear from your account(AmiAmi gets their money right away).

P.P.S. Looking forward to seeing the pics on the Tomica Crown, one from Vietnam.

That reminds me of that whatever complex thing from GT3. Man, the races we had on that track.

@Spacegoat - SUPERDUPERALERT! AmiAmi tricked us, J-Dawg! That "Oversteer" Miata we've been hoping to see on their site? It's been on there all along. :banghead: You have to search for '1/64' Mazda, not "oversteer" like I'm sure you did, too.

Last time, I found those Gulliver Taxis by searching for just '1/64'? I was looking to add maybe another car to my December preorder after posting about AmiAmi to Kevin, only then I found about those Miatas. Perhaps @R1600Turbo should look into it, too. Couple of colors I was interested in(red & white) were already gone. I requested a backorder on the silver. They are $12 + shipping. I guess at the current exchange rate, it's closer to ten bucks for us in the U.S.

Edit: If you like R32 Skylines, whatever you do, don't look. They are not Tomicas or Kyoshos(F-Toys), but still.....

The Hakosuka has one seat and no rollcage. The blue El Camino is a TH.

The Datsun is actually 1:55, but I wasn't if it should go here or the Scale Model Thread.

Just picked up today, this is a gas station that suits 1:87 cars best and is actually HO scale for model train scale, but the next scales up and down are too big and too small, respectively. It comes in a box and just snaps together, allowing you to store it back in its box when not needed.

Yeah, I rarely buy TLV's from anywhere else these days. Highly recommend them @MedigoFlame. 👍

Ah, nice find. Have to keep them in mind. Certainly a lot better than Daboxtoys who has them for $21 AUD before shipping. And I saw those R32's on 829 Japan, they're plastic models, right? Look cool but meh.

Man, only if the diorama was 1:64.

So true, but still so money. 👍 I also like that Datsun. Super nice find, @Johnny1996

They have plastic body, but they are like diecast otherwise. Yeah, plastic does take away from it.

If you aren't sold on the Oversteer Miatas yet, check out what I found while looking for into on the new Kyosho Originals.

829 Japan:

"With this amazing Mazda MX-5, Oversteer shows to the world what it is possible to achieve at 1/64. The overall quality is on par with Tomytec, but the attention to micro-details is unrivaled. Oversteer does everything much, much better than the current Kyosho Originals, even the price : Oversteer models are slightly cheaper than Tomytec regular releases, and much cheaper than the overpriced Kyosho Originals.

The only issue we can find with Oversteer is their very slow rythm. We waited one year for this third release, and now we want more ! Thanksfully the next one, the Nissan GT-R Nismo, should show up in January just before the Tomytec’s version. Be ready for the Clash of the Titans !"

P.S. These guys are not impressed with the new Kyosho Originals I was researching in the first place(even AmiAmi prices are upwards of $30 ):

"How do the cars from the new Kyosho Original resin line compare to them at a whopping 4500 yen? They have chrome stickers on the mirrors, but at best they are just as good looking. The Crown Athlete and the Vellfire are below Kyosho’s 1/64 standard, hopefully the samples on display are pre-production prototypes and not the final product. The N-One looks good and the prototype of the Skyline is gorgeous. Are they really worth 4500 yen? Absolutely not. Kyosho is trying something, putting the customers to the test and seeing how much would be the highest acceptable price for a 1/64 scale miniature. Rai’s 64 lead the way, with 2500 yen models selling like hot cakes, justifing the price with a limited production number (undisclosed). It will be interesting to see how well the Kyosho Original resin line will sell next month."

P.S. To my December order, I ended up adding couple more cars: One for me, and one for my nephew. CR-Z, according to 829's an actual safety car in use at Twin Ring Motegi track. 👍

Edit:

And don't forget my luck with that store. 2 out of 2. I'm sure I'll order from them again....... someday, but I'm not getting my hopes ups from that store anymore.

To be honest, if TLV did one of those Miatas they would blow that one away. I'm really not all that impressed with it, and something about the exterior doesn't look right. Having a bunch of detail is great, but if it looks sloppy then it just looses any greatness the detail gave it.

Overall, I think TLV would beat it, but I'm not sure if it'll be a blowout. Proportion-wise, I'd expect TLV to do better, but details do matter(at least to me), and according to the article, sounds like Oversteer will earn some points for that. Also, to be fair, there is something off about majority of what's out there. Very rarely I see a perfect "10".

I hope to get to see this one for myself before the year's over. :)

I think I'm gonna pass on it, I just don't see the high praise it's getting.
Well, maybe I hyped it up too much too, but seriously, it's $10 + some change. I think it's gonna be really cool for the price!

My Australian folks,

I have a buyer who's losing his patience waiting for a package I shipped out on November 1st. There is no tracking. I regretfully should've forced him to pay for a higher postage.

I asked this man to give it until the first week of December. Perhaps a delivery will be made by the fifth week.

Does stuff take that long to arrive from North America?
