Digging the Kenmeri, and honored you are calling it the Lamley Special. We worked hard on hyping the sh*# out of it...

Thanks, man. Most of us here would not have known about it if it wasn't for you. You ever get your hands on the chrome blue one?

No. I go back and forth on it. I have been happy to have just the green version. If one fell in my lap I wouldn't throw it in the trash however. I think the green is the one to have because of its significance.

Found a skyline in a toy box.

^ Good money on that. Keep that in pristine condition and don't let some lowballer win you over.

Ah, go to hell. Yoroshuki Mechadoc's?

Nope. You probably won't get this unless you read a previous post or something. :P You're welcome to continue trying though.

SS.11 1985 RAC Lancia Delta S4

SS.3 1975 Sanremo Lancia Stratos HF

One of the weakest casting by CM's I've ever seen.

SS.8 1985 Monte Carlo Peugeot 205 Turbo 16

SS.18 1991 Sanremo Lancia Delta HF 16V

SS.13 (Stratos Special) 1981 Tour de France Stratos HF

This concludes the rest of the CM's acquired in 2014.

Damn it Andy, I've always wanted that Peugeot, and that last Stratos, I've never even seen that one before.
You guys are welcome to take guesses at the 599XX and Kenmeri. The results will be a shocker :P
$TH 599xx - $30 + standard shipping fee

Lamley Kenmeri - $89 + standard shipping fee
Just wanted to let you all know, you were right.
If your name is not GotBeefBoy, it was simply unavoidable. Believe it or not, it's only downhill from there. It doesn't stop!
I've already started window shopping on AmiAmi.
Oop, there it is.
I'll let you have one, and only one. :P
What a team player.

Just to update you on the CM's, I'm running bit behind, but I expect to have couple of Focus rally cars soon, I'll email you then. 👍

I just spent 8 hours traveling Denver's toy shops in search of a better local die cast dealer. Well, Denver is 75 miles away. Localish. I was unsuccessful in my endeavor. I think everybody can tell what my next step will be.

Want that red/white and blue one.
Never seen that blue one either.
Close! Left the answer in a spoiler in response to Canro.
I saw that, but mine was plus whatever the normal rate of shipping to your location. Skyline was $50 or less I think it said, but after shipping & everything, would it come out to say high $80-ish(US)? Same with 599xx.

I used to "hunt", not 75 miles or anything, but around town here, and I really didn't find anything spectacular. I did find most of the premium releases like M2, Hot Wheels with rubber tires(Boulevard, Pop Culture, etc.), but very few rare cars(one $TH to be exact). Since then, I just started looking online.

Online, you pay the premium markup, also the shipping, but: 1) You are guaranteed to get the car you want. 2) Time & gas wasted can go towards those shipping charges.

Some cars, I keep looking locally(510 wagon being one of them), but while it does cost more(), I am happy to continue looking online for the cars I really want. I can spend my time with more important stuff like watching Netflix. :P

I wasn't so much hunting as I was trying to find just one "go to shop". One that would have more than Hot Wheels or M2s. Maybe something that specialized in die cast. I still hunt for $TH, but I do that only at shops I can be in around 15 minutes from home. I am finding online to be of the sensible way of continuing this hobby, as nobody anywhere has anything I truly like. But I like the option of physically touching something before I buy. I still am having fun with that hunt. But I'm growing up and already and realizing that I can depend on toy stores to feed my addiction.

Paging Dr. Nessy.

.......Dr Nessy just wants to swindle the cars away from his patients. :scared:

Yeah, I think go-to-shop's nearly a impossible concept. There are just way too many manufacturers, too many unique series of releases from those manufacturers. They all seem to come into different stores at different times, and generally, they sell out fairly quickly. If you check out these online stores, you can see how they all have different "current" stock/inventory: 3000 Toys Die Cast Alley Mile Zone

I do understand the appeal in shopping, or looking around in person. I still enjoy that, too. 👍

The shipping was about $17, but that included the Calsonic Skyline. Service fee I paid my forwarder was $17, and bank transfer fee + domestic shipping for the guy was $9. That's $43 to get the Kenmeri and Calsonic R32. Damn forwarder fees.

The 599XX was $39 + like... $10 shipping? Couldn't be helped. A $26 bid wasn't enough to win it last time.

I firmly believe that from hunting today for the go-to-shop, they don't exist either. It would be nice to find one to make a 'pilgrimage' to every once in awhile. But alot of things that would be nice just don't exist. Like a liquor store that gives out free Hot Wheels with every purchase.

I do appreciate the links, as I only knew of one of those sites. More and more I find, if I want a collection I'm absolutely proud of, online is the only true choice. For example, I RARELY see even simple stuff like JL and GLs out here. If I'm going to be a respectable collector, I have to branch out.

Oh well. As everybody has said, it was inevitable.

Sounds reasonable to me bro. 👍

My best advice: Go sloooooooooooooooooooooooow. Eaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase into it. There's simply too much to see, admire & want. ;)

No worries about that. My financial situation dictates that I go slow. As it is, I only buy Hot Wheels with any regulatory. That is slowly winding down as I've caught up to the current car case. I only buy M2's that make me salivate like a virgin in a whore house. When, not if, when I get online to shop, the casting is going to have to move my very soul. At least at this point.

I give up.

You'll be a virgin forever with that attitude.

Off-topic done.

On-topic:

I did pick up a 20-pack of HWs today at Target. They were on clearance for $11. Something to keep an eye out for, if you're into that kind of thing. It had the Cobra Daytona and '32 Ford castings in it. Both excellent cars!

I also found the Darth Maul and Storm Trooper cars to complete the Star Wars series. I didn't find much else of 'value' however.

Yes, thank you for getting me there. I couldn't take any more painful sides. :P

Anyway, its 10:42ish at night where I'm at right now, and I've not been out to look for Hot Wheels basics yet; I'm certainly not going to go out anywhere to do so now. With that being said, I have to say that 2014 has been a good year for me. Multiple $THs, including the Datsun, top the charts. Then there's the Auto Worlds. Those cars, though I have only a few, are going to be my favorite ones to buy from now on. I just know it.

Online, you pay the premium markup, also the shipping, but: 1) You are guaranteed to get the car you want. 2) Time & gas wasted can go towards those shipping charges.
3) You get a crappy quality car like the Jeep I got today. Now I'm forced to buy another.

Hence why I like to see and touch them in the store before I purchase. Yes the internet has it's advantages, but it also has it's negatives. We can't ignore the negatives, it's not the best thing in the world. But I'm picky, slightly OCD, and I'm sure there are a lot of people around here that don't care about the issues like I do.
