After a while you get fed up waiting (like me with the new Auto World cars) and then you end up buying whole cases online instead. Or so I tried, then I realized my next check is short a day or two so I decided to wait a little longer...

Edit: Not to mention my eBay fees will be charged to my account this week for all the Hot Wheels I sold. $106 bill incoming. :ouch: I wish they would take those fees at the end of the sale instead.

It's bound to happen to me at some point. :indiff:

Just make sure you really think about how much money you put into what you're getting and whether it'd be worth it in the end.

This coming from someone who wasted a good chunk of school loans here.

Yeah. I'm not sure when I'll start or what I'll start with, but I can't spend a :censored:load of money on cars that'll be put away in a box until there's room for them.

Some cars in the mail:

Hot Wheels Chevelle SS

AutoWorld Christine 1958 Plymouth Fury(possessed)

Matchbox Austin FX4 London Taxi + HW '77 Corvette F/C Mongoose/English Leather

HW Boulevard '66 Chevelle + RLC Dodge Dart(chrome roof!)

Super Treasure Hunt Custom MOONEYES '77 Dodge Van

P.S. Thank you veddy much for the compliments on that '49 Merc & DubCity Grand National! :)

So did they cancel the mystery models? Or do they come once a year or something like that?
They could: a) change name to "lame models" b) make them actually desirable c) cancel the line.

Of course, I don't like the Star Wars cars either(including the new stuff), so take it with grain of salt. :D
👍
Strawberry jam is lovely on toast.
YES. Good with peanut butter, too.
Just went on another disappointing hunt. Nothing. Again. :banghead:
Maybe there is something to Jason's theory with the dockworkers. I hope they are happy, because I just sent $447 to Hong Kong instead for some CM's. OK, it was $447, HK(I think it was close to $60, US).
$106 bill incoming. :ouch:
At least it reflects how much you cashed in on!

How much are the cars after interest?(rhetorical question, but something to think about). :nervous:

Buy couple of Altos, call it good.

Speaking of Japan Booster, sitting in L.A. since the 2nd....

:(
Mine received two tracking updates today. One to say that USPS received the package in L.A., other indicating that it has left L.A. I should have mine by Thursday.

When did you order? I placed my order on the 23rd.

Long story short, don't brush off spent money as easily as I do. That's the primary reason why I have so many cars.

Next week. :P Love that Boulevard Chevelle, great model. The Super TH Dodge van too. 👍
In all seriousness though, I plan to start with a TLV Alto from Japan Booster.
@a6m5 probably won't agree with me but I highly recommend yellow. :) Whatever takes your fancy though, can't go wrong with any of them. 👍

WTF mate.
I could be wrong, but I think most Japanese packages leave the country from Tokyo. I believe AmiAmi's in Tokyo, Japan Booster's few prefectures away in Sendai. That may be why mine's a day or two ahead of yours.

MOONEYES Dodge's just cool. No, I'll get the Japanese stuff here this week.

I do prefer the red of the newer model, or white of the older, but I agree with your latter statement. Can't go wrong with any of them.
Keep rubbing it in.

Revenge will be mine. Someday. Eventually. Too.
You know..... that RLC Dart was on clearance at RLC/HWC website, but I missed it(I think it was $7.50 +ship). Last week, seller on TTP had it on sale for $6 + shipping, so I ended up getting it. Chrome roof's kinda cool, but it's certainly not worth the $15 or whatever the MSRP was. Other cars from their "Real Riders" series are made so much better.

You are absolutely correct on the Dodge Van. You need to revenge for that one. Don't disappoint me.

:P

It was the Dodge I was dithering about. The Dart was nice, too.
Got loads of photos but everything is a mess right now - trying to sort them out.
I sorted out cars that were bought and still had to be opened and came across about 100.
Going to be a lot of work before I can play with the darn things.

Do you know how long it takes to open 100 cars? Each takes about 30 secs to open and about five minutes checking it out.

@photonrider I recently opened 20 cars. Cards for me(mail-in promo), cars as extra Christmas gift. Yes, I could imagine how long it may take to open 100 cars.
