That being said, I need to make some storage shelf for the dioramas I've already made. My pieces are haphazardly thrown somewhere collecting dust.

That's a level I cannot allow my collector self to reach. Even if I win the lottery. Hoo-

I was in almost a similar position but spent some time last summer boxing and labeling stuff (4000+ cars are a runaway disaster) so my life is somewhat tidier now. It's easier for me now to pull out a box labelled 'Lambo' or 'Porsche' and know for sure that it contains what it says it contains.
However sometimes cars go missing - usually coinciding with Dr. Nessy's visits to this thread.

Or maybe I'm just being paranoid.

That's funny, I remember you mentioning a son or nephew who comes by and pockets a car or tw-

Gasp! Are you his father!?

Damn it. I screwed up, but it's still funny. lol
I'm all about the wall displays. Dioramas are up there too, but like a garden, they look super great only if you got the real estate for presentation. :sly:
You & Kakashi......
CM's SS.14 Nissan - Datsun Violet GT 1981 Cote d'Ivoire
One of the few CM's I actually "hunted". When I first moved to the States, I remember seeing this car in the Guinness Book of World Records & I thought it was really cool looking rally car. I still find the pic, or the article, but I ran into this site. Awesome collection of pics of Datsun rally cars.

Studio. I have a glass display case, but it's not air tight and things do get dusty. Not letting the cars hang out in there.
If it's an enclosed glass case, it wouldn't have to be sealed airtight, would it?

Maybe you can call it a museum, or shop & use it for tax write off. :P

Thanks yo.

Glass display cases always have hinged doors, ad that means the door aren't designed to cover the edges. Covering it up will do the job, but you lose presentation points (i.e. laying a strip of tape to cover the edges).

No.

or use it for tax write off.

I don't even understand financial terms.

It's been a while since I went out and bought some Hot Wheels or Matchbox, mainly due to the fact I no longer have anywhere to keep them, but today I saw some great stuff that took my fancy in Poundland and couldn't resist. :D

I didn't notice until after opening it that the 993 has a big dirty finger print mark on the roof that's part of the paint. Not sure if I should try and touch it up or just leave it.

Oh, and some extra shots just 'cause.

Speaking of Datsuns, I left behind a mesh grille 510 Wagon the other day when I picked up my Star Trek cars. Hopefully tomorrow I can go to TRU to see what they have, and maybe get a 510 Wagon.

Wowzers, I definitely cannot start a TLV collection after an assessment of my spendings from the past month. This would also mean I cannot be buying HWs or MBX online for a long long time either.

That isn't an easy one to come by. Nice. 👍

Want me to keep an eye out for you? There is a chance I might see it again eventually.

Well, I'm done with basics, but I'm going to K-Day to get some basics for that collector edition El Camino.

And $THs if I find any.

AOS there is a good TLV catalog out there. Not totally complete, but I use it a lot. Will get the link when I get home. I want to see what you collect, and if it is from JP, use our link.

R1600Turbo where did you get your Greenlight? Wheel Collectors has them now and they selling like crazy. Auto World is their next project. If you do get some things from WC, use our link as well.

It is cool to see all that growing for both stores.

It is also a good time to grab the Kyosho Skylines while they are cheap...

I got a couple from them, but the rest from other sellers. I always sort by price low to high and wheelcollectors doesn't usually have much in the "cheap guy" category. My intentions were to go to ebay.com, search for greenlight with the above sorting, and go from there.

@Katiegan - I'm floor'd by your creativity & style. 👍

@Spacegoat - I thought you might like those vintage rally cars. P.S. I forgot about your CM's Violet also! :ouch::

I'd take one, haha. Actually I don't think I have any Kyoshos. Where can I find them?
For us in the U.S., I believe it's all online. I get mine from eBay. Japan Booster has some(scrolling banner link above). I just sent Akiyo @ Japan Booster an inquiry for set of Skylines myself, right after @jtl46's post yesterday. :D
It's unbelievabull.
Oh, I love it.👍
I'm with you, John. I've been meaning to get around to go thru my collection, focus more on mainly TLVs & post stuff I lost interest on eBay(mostly HWs, MBXs, some JLs, etc.). I'm sorry for the delay on the CM's post, too. I recently received another batch of CM's, but even those, I haven't gotten around to posting them on here. :ouch: I hear "baa-baa" at night, when I'm trying to sleep. j/k

Not enough that you were killing me - now Kakashi has to add to the meyhem.

@a6m5 - first off - that damn meme nigh killed me. I told you this so many times before - you're killing me.
And, yeah, Kakashi's warped humour isn't helping either.
I couldn't stop shaking with laughter for about a minute - and after about fifteen seconds (when I stopped to wipe my eyes) I suddenly saw the car in Darkter Vader's hands (That's the Doctor's father? Yet another mystery!) and it was paroxysm after paroxysm after that.
Ah! Well . . . one has to have a thorough background on the horror of that Clinic, the twilight zone of missing cars, the bulging eyes, drooling lips, the coat, the hypo . . ..
A most painful neuralizer.

Well . . . one of the boys wanted to go shopping for an e-card and I was antsy to see what was on the pegs - so a run in suddenly sleety weather (with a promise of KFC to warm us up after the shopping) to the nearest Superstore (we're surrounded by them - we can't get away!) and - yup - teen tech hurries off to electronics and I scoot off to the toy aisle.
What am I saying.
Anyway . . bits and pieces were picked up. Saw the Cool Classics Galaxie but let it go. Maybe later. Have seen many.
Some of what I picked up - some older ones I missed before, too:
