Recent Greenlight purchases.

And because I bought all 5 of those from the same seller, I was able to pick out an item $5.99 or under for free and so I chose this which isn't all that bad considering it's from the Greenlight "Motor World" segment which usually isn't great.

Any changes to the casting ever since the 2011 release? How's the ride height compare to it?

None at all. Ride height is pretty much the same. Those red seats are the only welcome change, because it's a "Special" Minicar after all.

Any guess for the Vol. 3 car?

EDIT: Here are all the variants released so far:

The orange and blue ones are the Kyosho Original singles.

I'll definitely go for the blue one next.

I wonder what keeps the Kyosho Originals running even though it's Circle K that gets the world-wide audience.

I am very interested in the mystery of the Fiat TH.
I bet it's as the Lamley article says, it was slated to be one and then changed at the last minute before the cards could be corrected. People have been finding multiples in boxes and they are not in short supply.

Whys that? I really want one!

Couple of small (annoying) issues I have with mine. A few of the windows have fingers prints on the inside of them and are rather foggy as a result and the front left wheel doesn't actually touch the ground. It's really great otherwise. 👍 Much bigger than I imagined it to be.

Okay, that would bother the hell out of me as well. The size isn't horrible. Seems somewhat to scale, if you ask me.

hey guys, i found these guys out in a box of old stuff in the garage. unfortunately the tbird's packaging was damaged and opened, but the other is still good. any of yall know if they are rare or sought after? the amount of detail on them amazes me when comparing them to modern day matchbox cars/hotwheels.

Hi! there, @nathan8856 - welcome to the discussion.

The cars don't really have any top dollar - depending on the seller you could buy the T-Bird for anything from $1.99 - $30.00. Look here for some example prices:

http://www.ebay.com/bhp/matchbox-premiere.

A few tips if you are very new to this Forum - mind your punctuation (caps for instance where required) and so on so that we may be better able to understand you. 👍

What other goodies did you unearth in that garage?
Hey - see anything that looks like a pink VW kombi van with surfboards sticking out of it? :D

lol, no pink VW. bummer that the matchbox cars aren't worth much, still cool to have though.

Yes, they are cool to have, especially if one is into cars. Rarity, in terms of small diecasts are limited to only a very few models in the collecting world; most of it is consumable merchandise bought and sold through a market that plays very much like the stock market (though in a much smaller way.)
I think many people buy and 'collect' today not so much for the resale value but for their sheer beauty, and what the models stand for - whether it's an iconic car, or just something so well-made that the article itself is something to behold and hold, a secret pride that we belong to the same species that can do this.
And there are others who buy them just to play the heck out of them - like me. About 3000 of my cars are opened, and well-handled.

Here you go @Gotbeefboy564 - you can borrow one from me:

Now get cracking and play the heck out of those three-dollar cars. By the time they become six dollars six dollars will only buy what three dollars will buy today.

Life is short. Use the toys. :mischievous:
