Probably won't go out of my way to get them though.

You won't have to. In front of you are two covered platters. One has 2 Alfas of your choice, the other now has 5 of those HWs of your choice. You do not have to shop, run around, look, buy, nothing. You pick one, and that is all you will get. Which platter will you pick? :)

Awfully similar to that other one:

You guys obviously must have better eyesight than me.
It's how you focus/unfocus eyes on the picture. I think my brother had a book made up of those pictures one time, I learned how to see them. Usually, I shift focus closer/farther until it becomes 3D.
That 155 V6 Ti looks awesome
Do you collect minicar at all? Nice to see you in here. :D
I need this to go with my 1/18 AUTOart. Are they Walmart exclusive?

That's easy. There aren't really 5 HW's from that set that I want, so still the Alfas.

Store finds for today:

140 USD for that? Forget it.

Why do you think that 140 bucks is way too much for that Mechadoc set? Is it because Modeler's exists?

These are much cheaper:

70 USD each. :P

About 61 Euros... Well, it's not that much cheaper than you ususally find online, but it's a start nonetheless. Most TLVs around here, with shipping taxes taken into account, amount to roughly 65 to 70 Euros. However, the only way those would be truly cheap for me would involve you paying the shipping or the airplane ticket to Manilla. And yes, the ticket fares would involve both ways, from and back to Portugal... :P

It's not that. They are expensive because the store owner most likely got it from eBay after winning a bidding war.

Then of course add up the shipping then bam!

Most Kyoshos and Tomicas I source from those small stores are from online just brought on by those owners (for Kyoshos, they're consigned items of my acquaintance). Sometimes, connections do matter if you want to get these babies, even if you are to pay a premium.

Oh, ok, fair enough. Bidding wars drive up prices even after they're over, now that's what I call influential!

Of course shipping adds more fuel to the fire, especially when distances are far from short... Guess I have to take that into account when searching around for stores that sell Tomicas and Kyoshos. Finding those connections would help me a bunch, since I have already found a nice store for Greenlights and M2s (although that one is far from home, but it's a local store nonetheless)...

Supermarket shelves are being overrun with those infernal comic book and Star Wars Hot Wheels, whilst the mainline selection is getting smaller and smaller.

I want that Castrol Escort so much.

It's the same in my area. Star Wars and Batman cars everywhere. But they still have C case mainlines sitting on the pegs. Nothing is moving. I haven't seen anything new in months. Nobody is getting M2s either. The only thing that is new is Johnny Lightning, and I'm not impressed enough with them to justify the $5.97 price tags.

Needing some help and advice here please. Could someone take a look at these two links and tell me why one is so much more than the other. They seem to be exactly the same, from what I can see, yet the one is so much more than the other. Is this just a case of the one seller being greedy or is there something I'm missing that truly does make the one more valuable. Thanks and here are the links.

simply because the guy selling it for 33 bucks is bonkers. Welcome to Ebay!

I'll stop by my Walmart tonight, thank god I get out at 11:00pm that's when they have the pallets out. I'll see if there's a BMW dump bin.

Thanks Cano, that's what I thought. I'm not new to eBay as I once used to be a Powerseller myself back in the day selling my graphics works so I know how some people are, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something on this one. Thanks again for your expert input, appreciate your time.

No hot wheels today but got these.

Only Firebird and Mustang there. Found them at a Meijer.
I'd love to check out the Camaro, but the Mustang is the ugliest casting of the year. They dropped the ball severely on the headlights. *vomits*

Got mine from Japan Booster. $30, shipped. :P

Not much better deal on the Coke/Coke Light Super Silhouettes though. I think I paid about $50 a piece.

It took me few weeks, but I found it. I have it hanging next to the F&F Escort & it is SO sweet. 👍

JL's worth about $4 to me, tops. I've had okay luck with mainlines, though I have no idea where I'm at case-wise. I see bunch of ugly M2s that nobody wants in my area, with the exception of those "black" models Kroger's(Fred Meyer in my area) carry for $2.99. I'm really hoping Japan Historics hit the area soon. I want all six, or how many ever are in the series. Damn Kakashi & his sexy RX-3.

どうだ?まだ見付けないのか?今、このミニカを見ている。

And then back to English. Those HW Japan Historics in major toy stores across Manila are all snuffed out.

Eh??? Shouldn't there be a lot more of them over there than here overseas?

I was just lucky to spot that RX-3 when it arrived in a major toy store. Just had to take it before any other mortal could enjoy it.

And a day later, they're all gone.

You'd think we start seeing them in the States first, but it hasn't been the case. I've read online that Canada got them last month. I keep checking my local stores. Wish me luck. :D

I'd rather HW spent their development money on fully detailing the mainlines, so the front and rear lights were in place than all of these spin offs.
Their only goal with mainline is to keep them under $1. This is why you hardly see them with opening or removable parts, metal bases or full detailing. Add that stuff and you get into Boulevards, Retro Entertainment, etc at $4-6.
