That's where I've been, at least locally. After putting so much effort into trying to find the Japan Historics & coming up absolutely empty. With both them & GreenLight experiencing poor distribution in my area, most my purchases are being converted into yen.
No Japan Historics here either. Not that it matters since I have them anyway, but I've been looking for wheel donors. Though my local Walmart has like 3-4 pegs full of those premium Star Trek cars. Tired of seeing the same 'ol Matchbox cars too...

I'm actually going to turn this into a blog post. It's too long-winded for this thread. I'm sure many collectors can relate to what we are saying, or at least have experienced similar issues in the past.

I'm happy about my new surroundings in Maryland, there's more stores nearby where I live and better selection. Though I'm living in a hotel at the moment, so buying models now would be silly.

EDIT: I actually did get some hotwheels (and a matchbox). Note, I did see a couple other Mustangs from the performance series, I just decided to get those later; I wanted to limit myself to 10 cars for the time being until I move into my new house. I'm pleased with the cars I got. :D

Good thing it's premium stuff. With the exception to the Japan Historics, premiums have arriving in greater numbers than mainlines.

Forza Series cars:

I'll be on the look out for the Alfa and Ford GT. In all seriousness, I have never seen so many premium models from Hot Wheels that interest me. The Japan Historics especially. Finding these models are almost impossible in my area, as I have stated many times, so eBay is my best bet at the moment. I've already bought 3 premium Star Trek cars (2 unboxed, 1 boxed), which are absolutely fantastic, so if that's any indication, the others will be worth the wait.

I took a little shot at TLV in my blog for their cheap ass wheels:

Can you blame me? Rough MSRP: Auto World $5 Tomica Limited Vintage $20

They have fixed the detailing on wheels later, but it's very disappointing how collectors were suckered with such a quality on the first one. We are not talking about $7 GreenLight. Newer release with better looking wheels:

I don't fancy any of the other three Forza series and my interest in the Alfa has cooled. For a game with its own livery editor, those paints are hugely uninspiring!

Personally, I'd say the Alfa is still worth buying because it has the most colorful livery out of all cars. Problem is, Mattel seemingly didn't take inspiration from, say, Forza's top painters, which would be a great way to tie-in with Forza itself. Imagine this; the top 3 liveries for each car would be placed in a poll, so that then HW fans could vote for their favorite one. Then, Mattel would use those liveries for the cars, making changes where they'd be necessary.

And then again, it's not like HW's GT cars innovated in terms of livery...

Was it Jarrod? Somebody covered those hitch & Tows few days ago.

Alfa livery looks alright to me, but that's about it for me as well. What looks like Falcon XD is ruined. Others, I don't care for the liveries, and not a fan or anything of the castings either.
Glad I didn't get that maroon first run Supra TLV. Was heavily considering it at the time.
It has wheels that should be on $3 cars, and while I'm a big fan of this car in real life, casting looks average to me at best.

You can see that the biggest problem on the TLV is not the monochrome finish, but that the central disc is actually much smaller than on the real car. Gives the wheel a whole different look.
I noticed that, too. I'd still have liked black paint finish on where the openings would be on the real wheels. They just look out of place on a $20 casting.

XB you mean. :P And totally agree, not a fan of the livery they gave it. It is nice to see the Falcon casting again though.

Thank god they did too. The wheels were my only real issue with the Supra's when they were first released, I couldn't really fault them otherwise.
Well T-Hunted posted them today, so they must be behind for once.

Saw it on Greenlight's Flickr page a few days back.
