Won't bore you with the details, but I had to leave apartment while repair, so I'm just wandering around on my day off. Hot Wheel hunting? Yes. So far, zilch. Swung by same Kmart I visited when I first immigrated to the States. Not even a hint of anything good. Couple of Gran Turismo cars... Now I kick myself for not picking up the R32. My buddy would've loved that one(been planning to give him one of mine). :banghead:
Yeah, it's perfectly fine for me. :dopey:
That whole driving on the wrong side thing's starting to make sense.... Jarrod's never received these types of harassment from me, ever. Right buddy ol' pal? :P
Had to leave it alon
I have it. Back logged posts!!

Just when you thought 4 rounds of Fast and Furious cars was enough...

I have this one that came from different style packaging:

I'm just sorry I can't buy everything. I was interested in it, looking at it online.

Been actually wanting this one. Had I not bought that other Econoline(w/wheel sets), I'd have picked this one up. It didn't impress me a whole lot in person though.

I saw countless Matchbox Skylines, but they were the wrong kind. :(

Is ~14 USD a good price for a Kyosho Beads Mazda 787B (the white and blue one, not the Le Mans-winning one)? I'm asking this, because I saw one for sale at such a price at Daboxtoys last week, and I'm contemplating whether to buy it or not.
I haven't looked at those in sometime. I generally check eBay search for "sold" listings & see how much they are going for. Off the top of my head, $14 sounds solid, as long as postage/shipping doesn't come into play, or isn't too much.

Well, I got mine (the Le Mans winner No. 55) for just 10 USD, albeit by a lucky pick as a blind box from the Mazda Rotary Minicar collection.

Yeah, 14 USD should be reasonable for a Beads variant.

Thanks for the prompt replies, guys. Now if only they will accept my exchange...

Anyway, I think I'm sliding down a slippery slope now. I used to spend only 100 HKD (~13 USD) every 2 months on model cars, but now I've spent around 450 HKD (~58 USD) within 2 and a half weeks, and I'm planning to spend another 38 USD in the coming weekend! I really have to cut down on my expenses.

Edit: Also, is there anything particular I should pay attention to when bidding for the first time on eBay?

SLR is a reissue for '17, missed it last time, I'm desperate to find it when it comes to UK whenever that will be.

Definitely new, Bean's mini is there.
Well S:censored:t, I'm trying to save up for Monterey Car week next year and hot wheels keeps making me wanna spend more.

Are these new/ best of series? Or old stock because I have the silver SLR.
I recognize the red Chevy wagon, which is new.
slippery slope
Yes.

I'd just make sure the seller has 100% positive feedback, or at least 99-ish. Pay close attention to description & photos.

I personally practice sniping(last second bidding), which is permitted on eBay. Too many times I've had some **** bid 6, 7 times until they outbid me, or give up, then I have to come back & place a higher bid. Good luck!

I didn't know about this. Happy for you, but sucks for collectors who have them,or paid the premiums. :ouch:

I don't even bid on eBay anymore. I just search for what I'm looking for, sort buy it now and lowest price first, make sure the seller is good then purchase. Less hassle.

Same. Almost always, there'll be a seller who are willing to make less for quick sale, if you check eBay frequently.

This picture is saddening. It made me realize that due to the ABSOLUTELY BULL*** STUPID Matchbox international distribution policy, not only did we not get the Skyline, neither did we get that sweet F100 panel.
Are you talking about the "Infiniti" Skyline, or Hakosuka Skyline? We've yet to see Hakosuka in my area. Collector I know from Peru says that "Infiniti" was impossible to find in this area.... probably because we are drowning in it. lol

I remember why I came on here. I tweeted that Forza post by @VXR & it got retweeted by Hot Wheels:

P.S. Japan Booster Black Friday Sale

So I've decided to sell my entire Hot Wheels, Greenlight, and Johnny Lightning collection. Going to focus exclusively on Auto World and - once I make my first purchase - TLV. Been looking at several TLV models available through Japan Booster and have fallen in love (don't tell my wife).

Anyway, how do custom fees work if I make a $50+ order through Japan Booster? I'm in the states (Arizona).

Thanks for the response. So you've had overall positive experiences with the vendor, I take it? Anything I should be aware of?
I also buy tons of Hot Wheels, anything 1/64 in general, and Japan Booster is one of those sellers that are just 110% reliable. They pack the items really well, and even if an item get damaged, they will take care of you. Another great place to buy from is amiami.com. Great preorder system, cheapest shipping, only after Japan Booster on eBay(buy $50, and it's free ship).

If you want the older/rare cars though, you will need Japan Booster + other Japanese sellers, mostly on eBay. Sites like amiami only carry the latest & some not so new releases. Sellers in Japan are some of the best, and also some of the worst. I've had $50 Tomica(mainline, limited edition) mailed in padded envelope, bunch of TLVs wrapped in bubblewrap, but no box!! As long as you go through eBay, or sites like amazon.com, don't worry, sellers would be forced to take care of you.

Edit: I did not link Amazon, WTF.

Also, if you can't find specific TLV, try contacting them. Akiyo at Japan Booster is very helpful there, too.

Never had any problems ordering from Japan Booster. Worse part was customs sitting on the packages for several days. They take their sweet time over there.

You mentioned it when I posted mine, too. Loooong time ago. :D

The Impala has aged well I see.

Something that hasn't aged well would be something like...

There is also this weakass-looking recolour 2016 Explorers Land Rover Defender 110.

I've only bought a couple of things from Japan Booster. But I can't imagine you'd ever have any trouble with them. Top notch seller. 👍
