OMG, I'm starting to think they are so overrated, but I can't wait to have one now. I haven't bothered picking one up in YEARS.

I've never even tried coffee. It's so common yet no one even sells it here. Though, judging by the way Ramune goes, it'd be close to $4 for a can...

It's actually the opposite with the Japanese auctions. Private sellers are pretty reasonable, while the consignment shops tend to pad the sale with outrageous shipping and the required consumption tax.

It is unfortunate, but in my area, as I mentioned before, name of the game is load the pegs with garbage that nobody wants. Desirable hot wheels are usually either never seen locally, or if they actually arrive, they are one & done.

I have no idea, but it's also in the U.S. Most people around here calls them "semis", but you still hear "tractor trailer" a lot. On the subject, I can't help but share one of my favorite parts of the collection:

They can eat after they've installed the rear wings and other stuff, like they should be doing! Instead of leaving it to the consumer.

Seriously considering buying five more for my other transporter...

Did they do any similar type of shots for any of the other transporters? Probably for the best that they didn't.

Haha, I'm just in awe. I've never given premium models of that scale much time, but that may change after coming to this thread regularly now

They had one of the little cubbies full of H case cars, which were one of the approved assortment numbers. Now I have a bunch of Porsche 934.5's, VW Kafer Racers and others that I don't want. Another way to knock it out quickly is to purchase multi-packs that are approved. Easier than trying to acquire enough cars, and since you need $20 worth of cars (before tax) and most Walmarts sell them for 94 cents, you'll need 22 cars.

TLV prices for both the new/upcoming releases + the older stuff from the secondary market's been on the rise. If you aren't used to buying these cars, it'd be a good idea to shop around & find the lowest prices. 👍

I may have the second one, if it's the "Garage" series. I kept it for its wheels, since I plan on doing some wheelswaps.

I found out my local Kmart is closing after my friend tried applying for a position there. Looks like I'll have to go twice as far as usual if I want to make a Kday event. Or go to a Kmart for anything for that matter.

I'm surprised the one in my small town hasn't closed. It's outlasted the Target which closed last year.

Been shopping the black TLV Porsche for last couple of months now. I really want it, but it's still about $10 higher than what I want to pay.... I came up with some windfall chuck of change last week, and again today(). It might finally happen. Maybe.....

That Advan Z is something else.... I hope Mattel do what they did with the 180SXs & produce the hell out of it, so we can all have one without paying scalpers.

Speaking of. This is actually a respected seller on TTP & my intention isn't to take a shot at the guy, but listing like this leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

If I'm right, this was a Walmart exclusive? Which would mean that this guy cleaned up couple of stores, so Paul Walker fans collecting Hot Wheels in his area automatically got screwed? I got lucky & was able to pick up a couple for myself, plus two for others, but man... If I wasn't able to find at least one, seeing something like this would be pretty frustrating.
