So I tried my luck when the store had a newly arrived Kyosho Ferrari set.

Ended up with this one:

Um, Kakashi-san...? Are the rear rims supposed to look like they were pushed inwards with a hammer? That detail is a bit off-putting, even more so when you realize the front wheels look normal... I know rim offset is a thing in racing cars, but not with that ratio.
Plus the lack of a livery really puts me off, but that's my five cents speaking. I know some like the cleaner look non-liveried cars have...

I prefer race cars with simple liveries or plain bodies.

But as for the rear wheel offset, someone must have forgotten that the race car has over fenders. Probably distracted by the wide body kit craze of today.

God it's been so long since Kyosho pushed out any 1/64s.

They're supposed to push out the GT-R and 2 Honda models. The GT-R made news last month:

Fair enough, not arguing against that.

But the real issue is the wheel offset. That just doesn't look right for a race car. Unless I'm mistaken, Liberty Walk doesn't build the official Ferrari GT3 cars... Not yet, at least.

Hopefully these are REALLY early photos as they look really cheap. But something for you diorama peeps.

Just saw this on the GL Flickr page a little earlier. Not the same diorama you posted but I'm assuming this is the finished product?

Removable wall and opening doors are nice features.
scratchcards...

My aunt always throws a couple of those in my birthday card every year. I never win a damn thing. Stupid things.
Flip the logic upside down and it's suddenly sound logic! Naw wha I mean, mate? :sly:

It's all the blood that's rushed to our heads.👍

Welcome to the boat, space goat (ryhming!)... My luck with scratchcars is either zero or below.

It's all the blood that's rushed to our heads.👍

On the flip up side (puns!), your Batman cosplayers must be amazing. Probably to the point where they'd make Mark Hamill cry...👍

Ahh, no stripes...? Japan, why? I know the current GT's striping isn't quite as cool as the old GT's, but they're still an integral part of the car... Just plain bodies don't cut it.

The Lotus looks great though, even after all the scale models that have been made for it. As expected from the Wolf Europa, it's still desirable... 👍

I don't like the silver underbody color, especially for that blue one.

And that Circuit Wolf Lotus will be a perfect pair for the Tomica Premium 911 RS 2.7. I'm glad it's part of the Dream Tomica line, which will be cheaper.

Yes, they should've just made it black, suits the car better. If you're not doing stripes, at least make the GT look like a proper supercar through other means...

Already making plans for a future pair photo, I see. Didn't take you long... :sly:

Part of me wants to wait until I find a Greenlight diorama in stores and the other part says 🤬 it and build a diorama yourself.

Doors are kind of cool, but it looks incredibly cheap in that photo when they are lifted open? I would consider the removable walls an upgrade over Tomicarama design.

Mother of god... High level of detailing, too. I can't wait for this one. 👍
Actually, both the Lotus and the Porsche appeared in The Circuit Wolf.
I thought the Porsche looked familiar.

"link to the Spark 911 reads "sparkyspark""

Your post deserves a like just for that little tidbit jii-san, haha.

Joke aside, it is a nice car, although I'm not a fan of the bright orange rims. Also I may be a bit biased regarding Haribo Porsches and think the Haribo sponsorship in your 911 feels like a forced addition... :P

But it's a good thing neither the 956 nor the R33 were damaged during the box mishap. And for once a car that seemed like it would be a no-buy because of paint flakes became a must-buy! Are you getting kinder with age...? :sly:

Well, you spoke so well of the model itself, and you gushed over the rim quality (I think? I'm trying to understand that last line about the rims), so I thought you had forgiven the paint since you didn't touch it... Oh well, guess some things don't change that easily in Bonsai jii-san's world.

I just remembered I did express my displeasure with the paint in that post. It's right after I posted the pic of the actual car. Real life car had the nice smooth looking paint, and I thought the TLV paint looked nasty.

I admire their effort in what they are trying to accomplish. It's just that, bottom line, those glitters in the paint are ridiculously huge for 1/64 scale. It wouldn't bother me so much if it wasn't from the brand known to chase high accuracy applying this stuff on their models. -_-

Really wish someone would make some modern 1/64 police cars that are actually nice. Greenlight has a ton, but the quality control on them is horrible. This is something that Auto World would be amazing at.
