I was under the impression they do ship international. By any chance have you dealt with them before? I'm curious to know if it would be cheaper if I used 829Japan to order stuff.
Yeah, it's on their website that they don't ship overseas.

Today's haul. Every store I visit still sell 2015 HWs . And the AS- series Tomica cars are only sold outside Japan as they are based on cars not sold there.

It's overkill, that's what it is. Why do you even need a Ford pickup truck to haul a towing rig? Isn't the Truckster more than capable of doing such by itself, being the family-hauling monster that it is?

But well, it's a nice combo. Everything matches, and there are enough wood panels to make the Town & Country (not the MPVs, the original T&C) fan faint...👍

I've been checking for the Entertainment series F&F Skyline. Stores in my area sucks, all of them, you suck, but I couldn't say no to these:

I pulled a lowlife move on this one:

I dropped it on the floor. That hitch screw thing came loose & somebody's hair got stuck on the bottom. I grabbed another one & put this one back on the peg. Sue me.

Still hate that stupid "super" in Japanese. :yuck:
Ridiculous but I want it.
I have to admire the overall very consistent theme. And you know I like that Ford truck.
Overall I think that it's a nice looking model.
I felt like it's par/almost par with Kyosho.

One new car following a race night at my local track. Tony Stewart 2017 sprint car. It's not the most detailed or realistic looking thing in the world, but it was either this for $11 or a 1:24 for $55 and there was no way I was leaving the place without one of them. Plus I need more Stewart and more dirt cars in my collection anyway.

Fair point and given that the Family Truckster is just an LTD wagon in disguise, I'd guess that it basically has the same running gear as the pickup anyway?

Also, you've reminded me that this set exists. *one day*

Fake wood paneling is the best!

I do like how they put the horrible hubcaps on both the F-100 and trailer as well. Nice touch.

Great scores, digging the C-10 in particular. 👍

AND I finally got the camper trailer without those wing/fin things. God, I can't stand them(sorry lol).

Who makes it? Expensive, but it looks pretty detailed. 👍

Ertl and Round 2 under Knockout Promotions. There were other 1:64s like a Kasey Kahne late model for $25. Detailing or at least realism on the 14 definitely does need addressed but I'm happy with it. If I don't forget I'd like to do a comparison post between this and a Jac Haudenschild car. The Haudenschild car is actually 1:50 scale but it'll show the difference in detailing and realism the best. Hard to tell on its own especially with the lighting, maybe the angle too.

Didn't notice that. Actually it does look good without them, nice colour scheme too. 👍

I suppose so, but I'm no pickup specialist... (why do I feel like paging Slash all of a sudden? :sly: )

And yes, it's good that you remembered the true Truckster towing rig. Consider it all part of my evil plan to make you spend money for not being able to do so myself right now. Go, spend those space goat dollars on that awesome scale model, do it! Muhahahahahaha!

wait, something feels off about this evil plan. maybe i should be trying to get aussie space goat to spend money for me as opposed to himself... :dunce:

Hooray for tree hugger-friendly panels! It's like driving a Prius, but minus the lack of noise and with (much) more smoke...

Joke aside, it is quite cool that the design of the F-100 mimicks that of the Truckster's. Consistency goes a long way in this business... Plus, the license plate seems to be the same too, which is another cool touch.

Follow up to yesterday's haul is today's haul:
20170719_181511.jpg

The Majorette Nissan VGT and a confusing Renault: the underside says it's the Alpine A110-50, however it has the color of DeZir (red) and lacks the rear wing just like the DeZir. However, it does have a rear diffuser just like the Alpine A110-50. Either way, I bought it under impression it was the DeZir.

Not much new in the stores right now, but I did grab this from Target.

I also found something rather interesting:

There's a slight color variation between these two; the left (er, top, stupid phone) is a lighter yellow while the other is more a darker yellow. I bought the darker one but left the lighter car on the peg.

I also recently unearthed some of my other Hot Wheels that were put away a few years ago. One of the highlights was the number of Speed Machines I found.

There was also a Saturn Blimp, which was a promotional item only available from a Saturn dealership.

That reminds me, there was also a Saturn Ion that was given away at the 2004 Detroit Auto Show where the car debuted. While I'm neither a big Saturn or Ion fan, I am a fan of promotional stuff (and that it was more detailed with head and tail light tampos too).

Why are you so obsessed with National Lampoon's Vacation?

Childhood favourite.

You too!? This thread is a bad enough influence on it's own. :nervous:

Family Truckster's for everyone!!! :P:tup:

Oh wait...:(

Quite, but role-playing as a bully who enforces the thread's will is pretty nifty. Besides, I know I'll have the same done unto me one way or the other (the whole story between me and the Siku 4C was partly this thread's "fault"). Especially after I said the first sentence... :sly:

Family Truckster's for everyone!!! :P:tup:

Oh wait...:(

Now while that is a brilliant political guideline (I'd definitely vote for any politician who offered free Truckster's for everyone), not to mention a great idea, nope. Evil plan, gotta stick to it. :P

Damn, son- you could make quite a killing with those.

You want to add a red Enzo to that collection?
