To think they spend extra resources on packaging those properly too. What did it take to do that I wonder.

Then again, that looks like it's been previously opened.

@Shinjude. Amiami sent me an email asking for payment..... you know what that means for you as well!!!!

Damn, son- you could make quite a killing with those.

You want to add a red Enzo to that collection?
I'll ask since I figure you would know a good answer to this: what's the real worth of the Speed Machines? I checked eBay to get an idea of what people are asking and gauge their value from there, but the asking prices are all over the place; there was a Panoz currently with a $5 bid, and it went up to $430 for a Countach still in the blister, with many prices in between.

Also, I'll pass on the red Enzo, as I'd prefer to add more of the unique models first before delving in the variations of each car. Thanks for the offer though 👍.

I don't know what prices these go for nowadays, but what I do know is that I sold a complete McLaren F1 GTR collection (which had 3 Speed machines in there) for $120 CAD, all my Reventons (incl. 3 speed machines) for about $40-50(?), all the Acura NSXs (incl. 2 SMs) for over $100(?), all Ford GT LMs (2 SMs) for like $40-60 IIRC, all gen-2 Gallardos (3 SMs incl that Polizia version) for probably around $30-40, all the Porsche 911 GT1-98 (incl. that white one you have) for an unknown price (didn't fetch a whole lot), and the yellow Carrera GT which didn't garner much interest.

Each one varies too, based on the lowest prices I found (that haven't sold), something like the Panoz GTR-1 and Cadillac LMP-1 are the least desired. Anything Ferrari will generally be in the greatest of demands, especially the Zamac 599XX arguably being the most sought after. Surprisingly the Aston Martin V8 and FXX doesn't strike much attention.

Ones I do know will get people going are the 599XX (red, Zamac), Murcielago SV, R35 GT-Rs (unsurprisingly), McLarens (all), Bugatti, Countach, Lancers, probably 911 GT2, Ford GT LM, and maybe Scirocco GT24.

Everything else is either $15 or under. Reason could just be the car itself or how ugly the casting may be, or the absence of marketed hype from a recent movie.

Also the red Enzo's sitting in mint condition not going anywhere... so if I can sell that off to anyone I'd be more than happy to. Let me know if interest piques you in the future.

A quick diorama update, I've decided I'll be using the gray fine ballast for it. I'll start with a coat or two of gray paint on a piece of wood then lay down the ballast. From there I'm not sure what I'll be adding for the background, as the ballast will be a parking a lot. The ballast here is the same stuff which I laid out alongside the medium ballast in my last post about the diorama.

Nice to see you're putting in a respectable level of effort in this.

If you're making a parking lot, are you thinking a plot of land off the busy street, small street, top floor of a parking garage, or what? Depending on what you have in mind, or depending how you want to handle the project, the stuff on the side that borders this space can be dictated by the background you choose.

You can do a forced perspective kind of deal like this:

..where you use a real life setting to work with your diorama.

I haven't really decided yet but I'd prefer to do something for a repair shop or parts store. I don't want it to be too big but I don't want it to be too small either. I have a couple of different thoughts in mind but I'm just not sure how to put them into words.

Haha, no problem, enjoy it!

Figured since I am cutting down my collection, I'm fine with just the blue and white (for now) TLV Porsche 911S. Though if I ever find the yellow one...

Thanks for the reminder, I forgot all about it. Looks like this preorder took only about a year to come through.

I do have the yellow one, but I just wanted yellow(have), black(soon to have) & white(not). Looks like we both have just one more color to go. :D

It looks "scary" good. Scary good.

Keep these updates coming. 👍
The hauls continued today - I even got a Fairlady 2000! :D
Going by the intensity of blur, it might be the fastest.

:P

I knew it, you're a cyber bully too. First @a6m5 and now you!! :nervous:

:dopey:

Hell yeah, we're a tag team! It's a cross-oceanic effort strictly created to make you spend those precious space dollars. And it's so good we even manage to bully each other into spending money, because of Bonsai-jiisan's Tomicas... That's how you know we got the stuff. :mischievous:

Recall when you posted that one. Sweet model. 👍

Thanks, guess it made the same positive impression on you as it did on me. In fact, I did see the white MBX version a month or so ago, but I decided not to buy it. The two 4Cs I have make me happy enough...

Plus, I wouldn't be able to write this joke anymore if I buy another one;

👍

Who wouldn't?👍

People who hate families and Family Trucksters? I know it's a (very) difficult thing to believe, but you never know in this planet...

Anyone can explain how to get Hot Wheels exclusives like Kmart exclusives ?

I mean do they store the exclusives on the pegs at Kmarts only or do i have to order online ?

It means those particular cars are only distributed to Kmarts. People who sell the individual cars online such as eBay have either purchased cases of HW for Kmart or reselling what they grabbed from the physical store.

So i have chances to come across them on Kmarts pegs ? Awesomesauce.

They go fast. Anything good, you pretty much have to be there on the specific K-day(3, 4 times a year?).

You also have to be ready to fight elderly single dudes and little boys for it.

5 minutes, 3 rounds, no tiebreakers.

At least the ones I've attended, it's every demographics pretty much. Not just the stereotypes.

I finally saw some new Matchboxes today.

Stores in my area are so lame. I've been waiting for the Retro Entertainment to show up? All I get are (I 🤬 you not) Christmas Peanuts/Snoopy cars, Star Wars, etc. They do this with M2 cars, too. Cool VW stuff, yeah right. Toys R Us, Walmart, they stick with 5 year old castings with new recolors. This is why I preordred the complete M2 JDM set. Great chance we'll never see it. If we see it, good luck competing with other collectors & scalpers.
