It's surreal to see Skyline from my childhood, in original livery, released everywhere in the U.S. as mainline Hot Wheels(except in my neighborhood lol).

This one feels like it's more JDM than newer Skylines, because it didn't get the exposure other Skylines received from Gran Turismo, Fast and the Furious, etc.

If anything, for me, this feels like Tomica influence on the young designer at Mattel (is this Jun Imai model?), since Tomica did this car a hundred different times. I hope I can find one soon!

Never cared for this casting, or the car in real life, but rusted/distressed/barnyard/etc. is always good with me.

Edit: They are $15(shipped) on eBay. I'm on the fence.

I'm a huge fan of the movie (and the book) and must have it. Worth it to me.

Yeah, I totally get it. Like I said, I don't even care about the car, but even I'm interested in it for the barnyard find type look.

What I find weird is that a lot of these "exclusives" have huge production runs compared to regular AW releases. 4800 for that vs 1200 for regular retail releases? Doesn't make sense.

I bought a Johnny Lightning at Walmart on the way home today. "1 of 2,500". Been seeing this with Auto World cars, too. It's been my impression that "Round 2(Auto World, JL, etc.)" realizes that their products are struggling against the competition, and they are trying to sell their cars by limiting production numbers. Again, just my impression.

I'm a fan of the car, GreenLight & Paul Walker..... but I kinda question their motives here. I hope I'm wrong. I also don't like the logo on the hood.

Other than that, I think the car will look fantastic.

I totally blame @GTboyz & Jason for making me browse eBay today. I didn't want this, I didn't even know it existed, but for $50, I had to have it.

That's the stuff I'm referring to. Pretty limited run releases. I think another Round 2 brand Racing Champions did something similar with that Buick Regal I've bought recently.

I don't know what to tell you. It's what they do. I used to think the same about Green Machine, also M2 with funny color tires, but they've grown on me.

I hate how the Fugu Z doesn't look much different other than a real rider. If i want one, i'll just wheel swap my regular one.

That being said i ordered 2 sets of these just for the other cars lol

It's the raw zamac edition, so it's by design. I have the standard version & they did a good job with the wheels.

From some seller on eBay. It was that re-release Ghostbusters diorama you told me about. It finally showed up, but with Jason diorama in it. I'm disappointed!!
