Kyosho

Alfa Romeo SZ

Porsche 911 GT1

Alfa Romeo Spider

Lamborghini Jarama

Calsonic Skyline duo.

Kyosho can be pretty hit and miss, especially if you buy older models, but all of these except perhaps the Alfa Romeo SZ (which still isn't bad!) look great. Crisp details.

CM's

Lamborghini Silhouette

Peugeot 307 WRC Monte Carlo

Both look great and I already have a white Silhouette to go with the black one.

Real-X - 1/72 scale

Nissan Skyline GT-R R32

Nissan Fairlady 240 ZG

Unknown manufacturer - 1/72 scale

Lamborghini Uracco Rally

The seller often sells these unbranded 1/72 cars. Since they're fairly cheap I figured I'd bite the bullet on one. It's actually a pullback model, but the quality is clearly lacking. No interior and lacking exterior details explain the low price. Decent bang for your buck, but I won't be buying more of these.

Widened Skyline race car looks pretty damn cool. 👍
Oh that's right. I forgot all about it.

It's not proper diorama anyway. It doesn't have a background!
That's why your set is still on my wishlist. :P
Send to me. :D
Seller has not replied my email! Occasionally they'll tell you to just keep it, and should that be the case, you can certainly have it!

Really loving the Silhouette and the 911 GT1, @Apok. I haven't seen many CM road cars thus far, but the Lambo really shines. Against the Jarama, CM comes out on top in terms of detail.

Also, the white GT1 is an unlivered race car, correct? Doesn't look like the Strassenversion...

I'm not entirely sure what the differences really would be.

No worries, turns out they're both Strassenversions (that's German for street versions, for those wondering) after a quick search I made. The difference is that your Strassen is the '98 model, which looks more like the race car than previous Strassens, that are similar to either 993 or 996 road models on steroids (depending on what front end they have).

For the sake of reference, this is your Strassen, the '98 model. Fun fact, it's a road-going model, but only one was ever made!

And this is the Strassen I was originally thinking of, the '97 model with 996 headlights but not the race GT1 shape;

I have a cool story bro: Today, I really don't feel like swinging by Walmart(just couple minutes from work), but lately, hot wheels inventory at that store's been super low, and they seem to put stuff out anytime I don't check. So feeling little paranoid, calling on my own bad luck, I check.

Bingo: Dump bin's been absolutely filled with another dump bin added to the back side of it. Unfortunately, it looks like the cars blew up from inside already. :(

Found handful of cars I've been looking for + like $20 worth of super hero cars & other mainlines for de nephews:

I ran into a couple who showed up little after me & they were looking, too. Guy kept asking me about treasures, but I told him stuff were thrown around everywhere already. He showed almost no interest in mainline casting, so he came off as a scalper. *shrug* He was well mannered & nice though, nothing like people Johnny frequently ran into. He also accused this certain Walmart of having employees who go through all the hot wheels before stuff is put out to the floor, but I personally have found couple of $uper TH's at this store, so I can't really complain.

One thing I've been noticing though, cars do seem to get ransacked within hours of hitting the floor at this Walmart lately. I have no idea if it's actually the employees, certain collectors who can track barcodes, or just coincidences.

Headlights on the bimmer reminds me of the tiny headlights M2 put on the Nissans. Wheels on the bimmer reminds me of awkwardly gigantic rims from GreenLight.

Rest looks nice. I especially like the Civic Type R, but are these cars really going for $30 on eBay?

Edit: I totally forgot. Sorry @R1600Turbo eBay seller actually wants the JL Christine set back.

Sorry bro, Imma let you finish, but I've got a cooler story bro:

Tarmac is about to release these:

But yeah, $30 on eBay.
Might consider some of those, especially the Nissan.

OK, a big shout out to @AOS-

This is huuuuuge. Bigger and more beautiful than huuuuuge. Saw the Tarmac BMW in a shop. Last one left. Was trying to see if it was water slide decals but being all packaged up I couldn't really get a good look. If it was waterslide decals it was pretty amazingly good. So good in fact I bought the damn thing.

Well, glad thing I did. It is tampon printing!! Absolutely incredible. The detailing is so good I actually couldn't believe it. With Tarmac using waterslide decals before I was still sceptical, so I got out a magnifying glass which has an array of LEDs on the bottom to brightly light up anything underneath, and did a detailed inspection. The only thing that might be a waterslide decal is the Dekra 14 labels, and maybe the BMW badges. Everything else as far as my magnifying glass can show me is tampon printing.

Still some Tarmac QC issues, but overall this thing is sick. If you haven't ordered it yet, DO IT NOW!

I'm impressed. Tarmac is very much back on my radar. Enjoy the photos!

P.S. the Nimso most definitely uses waterslide decals. Still a nice looking car, but at this price point, it maybe something to consider before purchasing.

This convinced me to buy one. Just in time too, they're not exactly abundant it seems.

Looks quite bomb overall, Dom. Thanks for the shoutouts and pics.

Does the fitment look okay? And yeah @a6m5, bleh headlights. Think they need to be a bit bigger as now the entire black grill looks too "bolded".

Props to @domalorite for the firsthand impressions & pics. 👍 Is it just me, or both wheels offset + headlights look better in domalorite's pictures? Maybe the first pic was a prototype? I don't know, but it's certainly more attractive to me now.

But you don't need two of them.
You can have mine, Jarrod. Your Ghostbusters diorama's best. :P

Typical Tarmac QC issues. Wheel alignment issues. The front bumper skirt is loose. Not enough glue. Headlights are small but the plastics beads are applied well. Grill probably looks bold because I don’t have a front light source to brighten it up.

These issues aside, this is practically Kyosho quality. I dont think I would have ever said something like that about Tarmac.

Just asking, do you guys get Majorette Brabus G63 in your country?

Majorette has been promoting White Brabus G63 here, claiming it Indonesian exclusive.

Kinda doubting it.

This is the majorette i was talking about but i believe the exclusive version is white only, can't seem to find the black one. Shame, it looks a lot better in black.

Cleared three backlogs today:

787B's awesome.

Will you hate me if I said I prefer the Gazelle in this set of pics? It's just such an unusual convertible, plus the Trans Am-like paintjob never gets old! Although in terms of quality the 787B wipes the floor with it, mind you... It also matches the color scheme on your pistol a little too well. Is it the real car personification of the pistol?
