Why are the tires/wheels so frigging huge man!?
Zero Fighter Special preorder at the Toysoul event in HK today!
I've seen this GT-R on the internet. It's pretty hot(just look at my username!). If you see this for international preorder, let me know. I'm hoping one of the online dealers will have it. Possibly eBay.
Posting this as I believe at least one of these is a chase piece. Can anyone confirm and/or provide additional info?

The car on top has gold trim, interior, rims and chassis and is limited to 3000 pieces. The one on the bottom has chrome window trim and rims and black interior and chassis. This one is limited to 6000 pieces.

Gold trimmed one indeed is chase. Then they usually have the "raw" chase(zamac), which is even more limited, like 500 or something like that. 6,000 run one should be the regular standard run.
You mean, us, the consumers?
What is going on with your avatar.👍
I don’t think they have any presence overseas at all.
I do see them on amiami all the time. I've yet to order one, but if they are accurate 1/64, that could change!

I just happen to have ordered not one, but two!

It’s cool to know what your username is based from! I looked it up and it’s a fighter plane?

Can you guess what my username is based from?

^ Video game character slots for avatars. Pfft!

That’s just me talking trash of course so don’t quote me

Quoting you just because you said not to. Tiny can likely appeal to any Chinese people that enjoy a little novelty in their life. I could probably interest my sister in a few Trams.

You did quote the trash so I’ll forgive you. This time

Tiny models are very detailed but a little fragile. I would say they are similar to Tarmac. They have definitely carved out a successful niche here.

I bought an eight pack of those Lego blocks. Now I got to find something to put in them.

Just as I thought t wasn't sure. Thank you. This would now be my only M2 chase piece.

Idk what went through my friend's mind when he bought this through ebay...
Depends on how much he paid for it.

I went to town last night for the drag races, had time to stop at a couple stores. Target had their first set of 2018 exclusive "Red Edition" cars, one of which was the NSX so I picked that up. Then TRU was crap, which is usual with this particular store as they shrank down their diecast section and don't even sell Auto World anymore.

(Originally I was planning to post pics of this after I've posted pics of the TLV Nissan GT-Rs, but seeing as how I haven't even been able to take pics of them, I decided to say 'screw this' to my plan and just go ahead, for fear it's just going to create an even longer backlog of cars that I've yet to post on GTP. The backlog currently stands at 4 cars. :scared:)

Remember my post from a looooooooooong time ago saying that I'm interested in the 24 Hours of Nurburgring R8 LMS by Tarmac Works? You guys probably knew that I bought it afterwards, so here're the pics.

Contrary to what some of you think, I think that Tarmac did a pretty good job with the R8. I, for one, appreciate the fact that the antenna is pretty resistant to anything landing on it, as I've learned of it after my iPhone collapsed on it more than a few times. Also, the engine bay is pretty detailed. Of course, by 'detailed' I don't mean the TLV level, but if you squint closely enough, you'll see that they have molded some wiring onto the plastic under the engine. Other commendable features on this model is that the roll cage and the engine bay are painted, unlike Kyosho's first-gen R8 LMS, and Tarmac Works' abundant use of metal transfers for the badges and emblems. (How they managed to use the wrong font for the 'V10' badges on the sides is something I'd like to know. If you're doing it, do it properly and in the right way, right?) One last thing worth mentioning is that it comes with a nice acrylic display case.

If any of you are interested in this though, be reminded that there is a big caveat: it's best to buy it in person and inspect the model if you can, instead of buying it online. Tarmac Works' quality control isn't all that great (at least not on par with the likes of Kyosho), so most of them come with minor flaws, such as some tampos being printed twice, which resulted in some of the words being not so clear. Tearing off of metal transfers is also a very common issue among these model cars. In fact, even the one I bought, which was chosen after a lot of cherry-picking, was not perfect, as I noticed that there are some black marks left on its right side body.

Despite all these shortcomings, I still like it, and consider it a very nice model car. I don't know why; maybe it's because of my affinity for endurance racers.

... And the following two has got to be my favourite.

Some more group shots:

...And time for this abomination. I was trying to create a photo that features one side of both of the cars so as to illustrate their mutual origins. The concept was okay. The execution? Hmm, questionable. Maybe I should have just replaced the reflections of one of the cars with the other, but unfortunately my photoshop skills are nowhere near capable of that. :ouch:

The execution? Hmm, questionable.

For shots like this, I would consider the subject and its reflection as one whole thing, and center it on the canvas.

For your group shots, I'm sure it's a limitation of space or lamp length, but have you considered spacing the cars further from each other so it doesn't look so crammed? You may be able to accommodate sufficient lighting if you bring the lamp further away and increasing exposure time.

Unfortunately, spacing the cars further apart will have resulted in their rears getting a bit too dark. As you may have noticed from the buttons in the pictures, my light source is nothing but my iPhone screen and its light-painting app, so you're right in that I had to accommodate quite a lot in such a tiny space. Putting the screen higher above is not a solution either, as that would somehow ruin the scale of the picture, as I was trying to imitate the environment of a showroom, which shouldn't be any higher than one storey.

One of the reasons I decided not to bring the lamp further behind is that it would affect the way light is shone onto the cars and cast some shadows in the cars' front, which, after having a look in the preview, is not something I liked. So yeah, that's my only option.

Thanks for the reply.

Another day, another batch of rushed pictures of my eBay buys.

Aoshima

This tiny Beat is adorable and is also the first Aoshima in my collection. Start small I guess.

Kyosho

Kyosho usually make up the bulk of what I buy from this seller, but this time all I got was this Alfa Romeo 75 Twin Spark from last year. Hey, for once I know when a Kyosho I own was released!

CM's

CM's is the meat and potatoes of this order. Starting with this red Silhouette. Not sure why I've taken such a liking to these as I already have one in white and another in black. This looks really good with the golden wheels though.

Finally, a street Diablo in my collection. The roof is plastic, but it looks quite good.

Finally, a second street Diablo in my collection.

Not sure how many more CM's rally cars I need to throw into the endless pit of 'want' till I can stop. But another Lancia can't hurt.

Followed closely by my first Suzuki. It's tiny and adorable and I hate how I lost out on another racing CM's Suzuki in the same batch of eBay auctions.

Tomica

This Chipped Nissan Be-1 isn't perfect, but it seemed worth 3$. Hopefully a tiny bit of paint can make it even better.

Not sure what possessed me to buy this one. It's really bad and I kind of love it for that.

These images are highly satisfying. When everything is in the same scale, it is very fun to compare models. This is especially so with model aircraft. Here:

Yeah I saw the showroom look of it. When I meant further, I should've said higher up,.

But perhaps this will be the reason to purchase or hack together a bigger showroom light fixture.

So i've got the 964 Modern Classics for very cheap price. I was pretty excited because i've been looking for that one but then being a seller, once i got the stuff, i keep thinking of selling it. Sometimes these kind of things that makes it hard to collect. I sometimes ended up having to buy the expensive ones if i want one for myself. I had a rule that i'll just find the loose ones if i want something rare but what are the chances i can find loose rare stuff?

Before you judge me as a scalper or anything, Hot Wheels Car Culture market in my country is pretty big that people are willing to pay double the price you all have in the pegs (and even ebay for some certain cars). Bunch of my goods are imported which means there aren't any on the pegs here.

Damn, i just need to take it easy sometimes.

I was just venting to @Spacegoat but that eBay seller who sold me Ghostbusters diorama? It's still not done. I preordered it, they sent me a Christine diorama, they send me Christine set again, and I finally receive the Ghostbusters on the third try.

Now, I'm being accused of pretending how I received the wrong set again, the third time. They also seem to think that I'm trying to get a refund as well, while keeping their shipments.

I only told them two times that I already have the correct set. I also only asked them two times what we are doing with the Christine set.

I was frustrated with this before. I 🤬 🤬 now. :grumpy:

On the bright side, another eBay seller agreed to sell me this for $60, shipped. He made my day. :embarrassed:

Received the ACME Trading Co. exclusive Greenlight Allan Moffat Mustang Boss 302 and Ford transporter set. Upon close inspection, I noticed no back rivet on the Mustang. The chassis hangs loose on the back. And the truck's cab is misaligned! So disappointing.

On the plus side, I did find a bunch of new Auto World at two Walmarts. Picked up both 1974 Road Runners, two Challengers, and a Belvedere. Also grabbed the 1966 Comet GT. Amazing cars!

You know Shinji is angry when he begins the Wham Wham.

Nothing's scarier than Shinji begin angry. Not even death. Not even my neighbour's nonna.

Never make Shinji angry.
I done lost it with this seller, dude. Word to your mother.

Like with Jason's Walmart stores, mine hasn't brought in Auto World in months. Toys R Us still get them occasionally, but they are heavy on first half 2017 Hot Wheels(80% fantasy castings) & GreenLight + M2 that nobody will buy. I almost forgot, this is also the store where Halo, Star Wars & un-pop culture cars come to die. I should post a sign outside by the door: "Peg Warmers Wanted".

Did I rant again? My bad. Sorry to hear about your GreenLight. Hard to believe they are still pumping out these products their assemblers have hard time putting together.

Mine just got new ones. Those were the ones I posted the other day.

Hot Wheels on the other hand are hardly any on the pegs, and 4 dump bins full of themed cars. If you are in need of a Camo set I can hook you up!

I really want to see the Donuts Coffee series thing + mainline R30. New Japan Historics are unbelievably attractive, but if it's JDM, that means they will sell, so stores around here absolutely avoid them. Same with M2 Japan. If you want Halo cars & unattractive M2 repainted in new color for 100th time, then I am your man.....

:(

Shopping for toy cars in December is the best. I scored big on two fresh bins.

Found 5 F1 GTRs, 5 blue FDs, about 7 yellow FDs, 10+ R30s, 10+ blue 240Z, 4 orange R35s, 3 grey R35s, 3 blue Miatas, 2 lime Huracan Trofeos.

And this beautiful thing:

My favorite generation Camaro in a Nissan Skyline pack. Kinda feels as if I've been slapped in the face with a flaming cactus. :dopey:

I just now ran into restock at Kroger on my lunch break, and I was looking for that, minus the error. I couldn't find one, but yours made me laugh out loud.👍

I did get lucky with cars and donuts:

First time I've seen the Alfa casting, also the Subie. Subie looks so much better in person. 👍 I already paid ten bucks on the F&F R34 online, but I didn't say no to a opener. One of the 240Zs were missing one side of the blister, so that's a opener, too. :embarrassed:
