What is it with GL and their fetish with unproportional wheels geez

It looked okay for me at first, on my smartphone, outdoors, but looking at it under better lighting, yeah.... They look tiny. :ill:

This is starting to annoy me tbh, i mean look at this :

Compare it to that mustang above. What happened with GL ?

For me, the 510/Bluebird is passable...... until you get to the front grille & the headlights. I hope that's not the production version, because it looks like M2 & one of those Maistos or something had a baby together.

Maybe bit early, but it's looking like GreenLight just might end up proving how great Hot Wheels & TLVs are compared to the non-competition.

If anyone hasn't voted in the 93rd Automotive Model Competition, I'd appreciate if you would break the tie in the poll. Cheers guys.

More related to the thread - it is annoying how I never get any Car Culture sets, especially any cars I actually want. I managed 3/5 of the Japan Historics 2. But I haven't seen any other Car Culture sets since last year. Also, I never saw any HW C case cars. No white Honda City Turbo for me. :(

I still enjoy looking though. I guess I just enjoy the chase.

Finally got some time to snap a few pictures of this one

Tomica Limited Vintage Datsun 1600 SSS

It's gorgeous. The wheels let it down, but it's understandable why they did them like that. If I was confident enough to take a paint brush to it I reckon a wash would bring out the details nicely, but gluing the plastic bits on was nerve-wracking enough.

This car was part of the amiami invoice I just paid(it was delayed due to one of the cars in this order). At this price point, considering how much effort they put in elsewhere on the car, I find it mind boggling to see $1 hot wheels rims on it. Arguably worse going by pics I've seen so far.

That actually looks good.

What do you think? Is it worth it?

For its price, it is. Rubber mirrors can be a hit or miss for me, but the level of detail it has, you can only see it in Kyoshos that cost almost twice the price.

Next on my hunt list is that GT2 RS.

On that TLV 510, I’m sure each release is allotted a certain budget, and it has to stretch over all aspects of the car. If more of the budget on the Safari car went to the extra tampos and the Africa-specific body pieces—at the expense of the wheels—I’m ok with that.

It also bears mentioning that it’s a new casting, with the correct blank finish panel between the taillights. Previous non-rally 510 releases have fudged that particular area with questionable results.

Losing faith in Brickseek for finding the new Car Culture set for the Skyline Wagon. Said the Walmart in the next town over had 10. Went there - nothing. Tonight it said the store by my work had 6 - just one hanging on a peg. Ugh. Literally by the time you see them on the site, they're gone.

Johnny Lightning Honda CRX shown here at 4:16.
Looks SO good.
its charm has led to me overseeing its faults.

I totally respect the sentiment. I'm just of the opinion that you don't do such a great job & leave one major detail to take away from the rest, which does look really great. For me *keeping it PG* it's like that misplaced tampo on beautiful Hot Wheels we were talking about on the last page. Big deduction points in my view.

Could somebody be hiding it? Employees? Also, how up to date is the website? I swung by Walmart on the way home, so I looked(that Skyline wagon's too gorgeous to ignore). All I found was this.

Black with green plastic windows. This one was pretty gorgeous, too. I didn't buy it, but it was difficult walking away.

Nice, it's also looks like it hold it's own against Tarmac.

Also the R32 GTR, Land Rover and the Ford GT for me.

What was holding the order up, was it that Star Wars car?

Oh and best of luck installing all of the DIY parts on the 510. 👍
