I like vintage Ford pickups, but wheel's the reason why I was after it! Now that I'm not actively collecting, I wouldn't pay online prices for one, but for $1, it was meant to be!I've got to go with Harry on this. Cool casting but the wheels are awful. Sorry.

Went to Walgreens and CVS no new basics or Gran Turismo series, went to a few Targets, Meijers, and Walmarts all I found was a black and gold series Impala that I was missing saw a ton of Cargo Carrier series cars but all were the Transit and occasional Odyssey, no new basics at those stores either.

Cars are great, but the postal fraud crap the seller pulled left a bad taste in my mouth. They lied to keep the weight down, also used free bubble mailers for Priority Mail as packing material. It's more of stealing than freeloading IMO.

Sorry that I'm not above stirring the pot once in awhile.
I know I've commented on this before, but I think this is ideal versus real world. If not Lamley, another similar site/blog would be promoting the hobby the same way. IMO, Lamley Blog is a wonderful ambassador to collecting.
Having said that, I don't visit Lamley or any blog a whole lot? If the site was presenting itself as a unbiased, neutral party, only then, I'll likely be annoyed by hyping. I don't think I've ever seen John(from Lamley) mislead readers like that though. From what little I've seen, he's presented himself as a fan(boy lol) of Hot Wheels, TLVs, etc.
From my experience(I'm in Oregon), I'd pretty much have to check numerous stores in my neighborhood, over & over, and still may never see any of them, hence my eBay purchase.
Last Gran Turismo set from 2 years ago, luckily, they were Walgreen exclusive. I knew which stores to hit & they were at both locations I checked in my neighborhood. Unfortunately on the 2018 Gran Turismo set, it doesn't seem to be one store chain exclusive, at least not from what we've heard. It'll be a tall order trying to find the cars you want out of the set.
If I was still actively collecting, I'd have bought the one Andy linked. Great add. đź‘Ť

Walmart score at the bottom of the stupid side display J case cars found both Skylines and Mustangs, also found the white Repu.

Swung by Supercheap Auto to kill some time before a dentist appointment yesterday. This was sitting on a peg all by itself. $19 at Supercheap vs $25 or so, people are asking on eBay for it. Done deal.

I totally didn't see the Skyline in our dump bin. Big surprise.
I'm kinda in the middle, but maybe closer to shellac's sentiments. If I ever decide to buy that, it would be for spare parts(still wrong color). Retread!

I was looking for weathering powder at a model shop for a different project and I came across a handful of used matchbox cars, 3 for ÂŁ5. There were a lot that caught my eye, but these are the 3 that I picked up in the end. It's a horrible photo I know, but the Challenger and Mustang seem to be in pretty decent condition (and the 126x doesn't look too great, but I'm a sucker for wedge-shaped concept cars).
