We have a new champion

Got some Yahoo auction stuff via one of those fancy forwarding services. Guess I really am turning into @AOS- which means I'll eventually get into anime figurines. Luckily I'm not there yet so there is hope that in the mean time I'll post more cool CM's cars such as these.

Ford Sierra RS Cosworth | 1987 1000 Lakes rally

Very tough to find anyone selling these in euroland and even when one does come up, they aren't cheap. Car itself is very cool with a nice livery. Model itself is an example of what CM's could do at their best.

Ford Sierra RS Cosworth | 1987 Tour de Corse

Same model so again, very nicely done. Unfortunately this car has the iconic Marlboro livery that is never reproduced in model cars, video games or anything that could even remotely be considered as "marketing to children". Thank goodness, I was really thinking of starting a lifelong smoking habit, but this changed my mind. Notably the Marlboro livery is supposed to be white and red, but on this car it's very clearly not red. The picture doesn't show it well, but it's more of a fluorescent pink? I don't know if this was another precaution to distance it from the marlboro logo or not, but it looks very bizarre.

Ford Escort WRC | 1998 Monte Carlo

Not much to mention about this one. Like the 1000 lakes Sierra it looks great.

@Apok Funny you say that, because I got into anime figures before Hot Wheels and all these small cars. I only have 1 plastic waifu in this household. Everything else was sold for big cars.... cuz that is how big boys do. If anything I'd say go that route first.

A spring that didn't get over a few road bumps in life.

Realigning axle height would be an easier job than repairing a wing and keeping the paint clean!

Fixed.

Congrats. Actually finding Supers is one of the coolest feelings ever. I'd say it's even more rewarding than spotting a rare 1:1 car.

Also hah you found two blue R33s, I only found 2 purple ones.
Purple ones are new, Indonesia (particularly my city) only had just received A cases.

It is rewarding, when i saw the numberless card with the Nova picture, it felt pretty awesome!

Congrats man. That's pretty exciting.
Thanks dude!!

Oh you're actually serious.

Let me get back to you on this.

May as well. There's a few I'm looking out for, mainly because I missed the boat a bit on some of the cool stuff (prices just rose up here and quality got more questionable, so I never really got into it. Didn't really have much space either).

There’s a lever underneath if you want to play with it.
One of my favorite YouTube videos. I also long considered Testarossa to be the best sports car design of all-time. It'll be hard to turn this one down. :(
That's a nice little touch actually.

Shame the white version is an online exclusive, I prefer it over the red.
I never have until now. Weird. :odd:

(White is the online exclusive. A red one will be the retail version)

The white Testarossa looks oddly appealing. Perhaps it’s because of the functional pop-up headlights. Pity it’s an online exclusive though, and shipping for a single ~1/64 model car just seems wasteful and expensive, so I’ll have to wait for local shops to have it in stock.

Whether I actually purchase it depends on the sharpness of the casting (panel lines, etc.) and the hue consistency though.

Anyway, I’m here to post because I want to follow up from my previous post. Since then and during the conversations between the potential US buyer and I, another local buyer has purchased the item directly through the bidding website, which means I won’t be able to sell it to the US buyer, and won’t need to go through the hassle of shipping things. I set the price of the car at a slight premium compared to the price offered by some sellers in a Japanese auction site when the car was listed, so as to take into account the shipping costs, and as such, I earned a 10% profit. The trading also went smoothly today, so a man has brought home a blue TLV Mercedes 190 E, while the other one was kept by me. :D

Still, thanks for the help guys for answering my questions. 👍

New stuff from Johnny Lightning. (skip to 6:25 for 1/64) I might be in for quite a few of them, especially the Jeep's and R34's.

I gotta say, ever since Round 2 bought back the rights for Johnny Lightning they have been doing great things. Seems they learned some things with the Auto World cars and implemented a lot of that into JL and it shows.
