So are all TLVs, M2s and Tarmacs true 64 scale? Because this doesn't look right to me but i don't know the exact size for these cars. Tarmac seems to be a bit bigger than TLV. M2 seems to be too small.

@GTboyz TLV/Tomytec advertise how anal they are about accurate scaling. I was surprised to see how close M2 & TLV 510/Bluebird were in size, but M2 in general are not considered very accurate 1/64. Don't know much about Tarmac Works, though I'm of the impression that they are more accurate than most 1/64 lines....

Edit: I just paid the invoice for my first GreenLight Datsun 510 preorder. I am so excited:

Really? Because the Bluebird looks like a child compared to the TLV GTR, maybe it's like that in real life? Tarmac should have been close to true 64 but that Civic looks bigger than the GTR which is funny.

New Civic's big, but yeah, not that big as in your picture, and I tend to trust TLV's 1/64 scale on the GT-R. Here's a comparison pic of the 510 by TLV & M2 I took for the blog:

As everyone knows, Lamley blog's been pushing TLVs really hard & everybody reads those. Even my blog had a nice comment left by a gentleman from M2, and my blog has as much TLVs as anything else. I can't help, but to think that M2; While they've been iffy with accurate scaling in the past, they ended up sampling some TLVs for their JDM line. Just my gut feeling.

Bet you are. More excited than a little kid on Christmas morning, amirite.
It does say "pre-production". If front end looks as bad as it does in that picture, I'd be shocked. :nervous:

Well.. so the Bluebird is really that small then... Still though i'm pissed about the Civic. Thank heavens i haven't buy the GTR GT3 version.

If it's anything like this picture, I wouldn't want either one!

510's a really small car. However, I'm surprised by the Tarmac Works Civic(it is Tarmac Works, right?). I thought they were fairly on the money 1/64 scale.

Edit: Actually, in the third picture, Civic scale seems fairly accurate? Maybe it's just the angle on the first shot that threw me off.

It's hard to get an angle that really shows the size difference but the third picture is the most accurate presentation of the size difference imo, you can see that the civic is a tad bigger.

Here's a a couple new shots of them. The side mirrors on the Civic also looks bigger, but maybe it is bigger in real life?

Why don't you just measure them? Look up the length of the real car online, divide by 64 and hey presto, you have the required length of the model.
I did check, the Civic is 4557 mm in length according to wikipedia and the GT-R is 4671 mm. So that's only an 11 cm difference in the real life cars and a 1,7 mm difference in the models. Looks pretty spot on but it's hard for me to say from the pictures.

EDIT:
I don't have the Civic, but the Tarmac BMW M3 which should be 67,89 mm long has a length of 67,55 mm and that's pretty damn close!

Apologies for the partial 43 content, but had to share this score. Stole a TLV sweepstakes winner keychain as part of this lot. The TLV43 Gloria isn’t cheap either. All told, should have been a $100 sale, but sometimes you get lucky.

Civic looks too wide.

Just wanted to share this. $20 for the whole Gran Turismo set(shipped).

I hope you post pictures. 1/43 TLV sounds interesting!
Keep your expectations low and you'll never be disappointed.
1/64 scale can be a hit & miss. :P

Yeah i preordered the white, black and the EG9... Oh god what have i done..

Rare Hot Wheels purchase post. These were the only two that K-Mart had on the pegs. Figured I may as well grab them, if no one else was going to.
K-Mart.👍
Also, I see that retirement thing is working out well.
I don't know what you are talking about. That Minicar blog guy preordered them, not me!

Which black one? Mugen?

K-Mart.👍

This one hasn't been affected by a zombie apocalypse tho.

What's that Ford Transit van? They had at least ten of that one, behind the Japan Historics. Almost picked one up too but you know, Gulf livery.

If you say so.

I looked for it, but I couldn't find that black one on amiami. Where did you preorder from? It looks great. 👍
A local seller, it said that these are HK exclusive but i don't know for sure.

Liking the look of the BP livery on the sedan. Very cool. 👍
Yeah, i'm not much of a fan of EG sedans but this looks cool so i decide to get one.

It's getting harder to get interested at upcoming Hot Wheels when most of them cost as much as (sometimes more expensive than)Tarmacs and M2 here. I hope Inno64 looks great in person, been wanting an EF for awhile.

So this is cool.

Due to my gradual transformation into AOS- I was checking Yahoo auctions for anime figurines CM's. Noted this curiosity.

Decal sheet? No text on the base? NOT FOR SELE? I'm intrigued!
Here's the (badly translated) description:

" FORD Focus RS Ltd. CM'S 1/64 rally car collection for sale
in 2001 or 2002 Monte Carlo Rally specification,
stickers, antenna unopened with
there is a tear in the box.
I think that it is sample but Yes finish to clean up the interior.
Anyone whether you like.
Please confirm your decision in the image. Anyone whether you like.
Please note that there is a case where the color of the image and the actual thing is slightly different.
No claim, no return, I hope in a no support.
The shipment will be sent by Yu Pakku, but you may be asked the grace of confirmation after two to three days.
Thank you. "

Auction ends in around 2 hours, but I won't go for it. If it gets relisted I don't know if my resolve is strong enough though. :scared:

Most of the poor translation seemed to be self-explanatory, but I still tried the Google translator to reverse the translation on the part I couldn't understand: "clean up the interior" lol

According to the translator, it said beautifully finished interior.
Just dropped my newly acquired Sparky 1/64 Le Mans Porsche 919 and the back tail fin snapped off. :( Dang.
Tail fin delete hack amirite. *throws to floor*
