Unfortunately, I do recall now that tire thing that you are talking about. I don't remember if it was just one of the Hinos, or both from this purchase. It's weird, because I've yet to see that from any TLVs from my collection. Over the weekend, I took pictures of one of my very first three TLVs. No tires problems. :odd:

It happens to certain older releases on a consistent basis and others not at all. Obviously a production and/or materials issue that came and went, and then hopefully was finally solved.

I think he's just crazy about TLVs.

That’s actually it. I have no particular affinity for fire trucks except that this one is in true scale rather than being the same size as a 1:64 car.

I need that Corvette.
That one is awesome. Luckily for you, it doesn't go for crazy money like the Countach & NSX. I'd stalk eBay listings if I were you. Take a sweet time, nab the cheapest one you've seen in weeks.
I'm not fond of the plastic body Camaro.
It's a what...... Why why why is it plastic?

I'm going to have to check my other ladder truck. Last time I saw it, it was fine, but it's been awhile.

That ladder truck is a pretty epic TLV. I've been amazed by it from the very first time I laid my eyes on it online. I thought the price was pretty insane at the time though..... Since then, I bought it three times, so I don't know what that says about me. Actually, I do. I choose to ignore.

Edit:

I commented about how this Hot Wheels Boulevard Porsche 993 GT2 had good rear tampo back in March. I just checked out my loose one:

Mattel, using the same masterful wisdom that they apply to their HWC website, to celebrate Hot Wheels 50th anniversary with probably their most iconic casting, make it out of fantastic plastic :lol::lol:

That is unfrigging believable dude. I want one now, just to check it out.

Just read the article. Well written, well documented and well rounded 👍 when did you write it? Was it before Imai announced he was leaving Mattel?
Yeah, wrote it literally a week or so before he announced it! Haven't kept track of where he's gone, but it's a real shame. Great guy and obviously very talented.

Gone in 60 Seconds Minutes:

Well, the offer came in less than 60 minues anyway. Countach is really cool. Got nice chuck of change for these jewels.

Even if you did not have change, you would still have bought them, you're the biggest 'casual' collector here.

I had a friend from Singapore able to get me this set at retail price! My personal favourite is the Bone Shaker and then the Ford Ranchero. I'm not fond of the plastic body Camaro. The casting can't save that one, as well being overpriced in the secondary market.

I'm from Singapore myself, the Hotwheels here are slightly more expensive than in the States. Wouldn't that have cost you about $4.3~ USD per 50th car?

CRX's been hot for YEARS. Before they saturated their line with them, TLV's earlier CRX's used to command crazy money. Kyosho had "Yoroshiku Mechadoc" set based on Japanese manga, and while it consisted of Toyota 2000GT, Celica XX(MkII Supra), 240Z, the most coveted model was the CRX.

When Hot Wheels released the souped up CRX casting, I think I would've preferred stock CRX? This is promising.

I may be totally done with Mattel though. I already told Jason, but last night, I was trying to deal with Mattel's RLC/HWC website, so I can get delivery of this car. I spent over half an hour trying to get to pages I need to. Tried going in by Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge on desktop. It eventually led to dead end, error pages, or blank pages. Tried Chrome on phone mode + desktop mode on the smartphone, Firefox phone mode & desktop mode, same thing. Clear cache on all, still dead end/error/blank screen. Before you ask, yes, they all have the latest updates.

Last time I dealt with this B.S., I decided to quit collecting. Last night, they had me considering a boycott. As far as that website go, they have such a low regard for people's times & no pun intended, but I got no time for that. Old members claim this website's been glitchy from the start, and if anything, it only gets worse every year. It's bizarre. It will work one day, may not work five minutes later. It just randomly cuts you off. Last night was the worst, where it didn't matter what I did, which route I took, which browser I used, it just wasn't working. I've never seen anything like this having used internet for something like 20 years.

This screen here's supposed to have my order information, so I can pay for the order with new credit card. It shows everything, except for the order information I need to see(all in black). My old credit card expired, because this order took over an year to come though. I am so relieved I'm walking away from this garbage. 👍

That would be the large rear wing....... #787B

Design, server, I have no idea. At this point, all I know is somebody else can have it. :yuck:

All the horror stories you've told me about the RLC website over the years. Don't know how you have put up with it for this long. Sounds like it's not worth the hassle, imo.

Another Ferraris coming to Tomica:

This one’s easy. It’s a 512BB...

This could be a 488 GTB.

LaFerrari Aperta and 488 Spider, perhaps...

But McLaren also joins the fray:

And a racing BRZ:

I'm jealous.
Boulevard series was the bomb. Maybe today's Culture series are the classics in the making....
That was a huge bummer.

The cars, Jarrod. The cars. I like hot wheels in general, but the RLC cars were simply amazing. Unfortunately, their website went from punishing to impossiburu.

Never was able to find that Porsche. But the '57 Chev and CRX are up there with the bestest Boulevard's though.
That was a huge bummer.

Bummer is an extremely polite way of putting it.
The cars, Jarrod. The cars.

Pffft, no car is worth subjecting yourself to the torture of that website.
