Excessive spacing in the wheel well, no?
Ugh, Greenlight strikes again.
RX-7's arrived yesterday. Wheels are the major let down. They look like something you'd see on cheaper Tomica Premium.
Did I mention that the sparkly paint suck
What i hate is the lack of side mirrors. I think i remember seeing them in the promotional shot. What the hell...RX-7's arrived yesterday. Wheels are the major let down. They look like something you'd see on cheaper Tomica Premium.

Meh...
Some cars are better opened. In my opinion this is not one of them. Considering the cost and hype it’s not met my expectation. I enjoyed taking photos of the Greenlight more than this:
Went to a hobby shop that sells old stuff, got some old matchbox cars from 2007 up to 2010.
3 ZR1s in different colors
They had a few colors including silver, I think I originally had the silver one so I didn’t get it.Those ZR1's
Is it me or does the blue one looks better than the red one?
Oh shoot, i meant the Greenlight ones, not the Hot Wheels one, sorry i don't care much about the HW version.Personally I’m not too fond of the blue one either. I think the entire car culture boxset is not that great. The reason is their use of ink jet printing the decals and then adding a thick layer of gloss for finishing.
I think using ink jet printing is only marginally better than using water slide decals. It really does cheapen the look of the car. The most recent car I opened that highlights this is the nationals copper gasser. Unopened it looks pretty good. Once opened it’s only then I realised the entire car is ink jet printed, copper colour included. Crap crap crap. Here, picture tells a thousand words. Join the dots?!

I have only seen the video from Lamley of this car. I haven’t seen any detailed photos, and from a distance it look amazing. But opened and in hand it looks down right terrible.
I have noticed all premium cars now use ink jet printing. HW cutting more and more corners in production. Fortunately I’m quitting, and haven’t bought a HW for about 2 months.

Not 100% true. There are some that still use the standard method. It's kind of a toss up though as to why.I have noticed all premium cars now use ink jet printing.

As you guys know, I really like this one loose. Maybe our taste's different, or maybe its how we see Vintage Racing BRE 510($3 car vs. whatever's today's going rate), but I'm pretty sure you guys are wrong.I keep telling @a6m5 exactly the same thing!*
This is a good example of a recent release that still uses the old method. I think it might depend on the complexity of the design. It’s become the norm, not the exception.

Haven't seen it in person, no.Like the Borla Silverado much?
