I sometimes feel rather fortunate that I live in time where the 1:64 segment is booming... You have all these brands popping up and producing great stuff; Tarmac, Inno64, Mini GT, Ignition, and Era Car just to name a few. Thanks to this website, I have also learned about Tomica Limited Vintage, Spark's entry into the segment and Biante's RE-entry into the segment. I remember when I only knew about Kyosho, Matchbox, Hot Wheels and Classic Carlectables and the odd AutoArt model. If 7 year-old me saw what kind of collection I'd accumulated, he'd be going mad. Honestly. For a while there, I wasn't buying many cars because 1:43's were too expensive and the 1:64 segment seemed to be on the decline. Then I stumble upon this website and discover that there are SOO MANY models out there to buy - in the scale I love most. I look at my collection today and think: Holy crap, I have an F40, a Pagani Huayra, an RX-7, a McLaren Senna, Liberty Walk GT-R, 2 Porsche 962's and 3 911 RSR's, Scott Pye's Walkinshaw Commodore and an Isuzu Bellet ALL in 1:64 scale. That is quite a line-up, and I have this site to thank for helping me re-discover my hobby.

Sorry if that sounded like a love letter but I'm serious! My collection is more diverse than ever.

Hard pass? Wish it's that easy for me to decide like that

Like the Triumph TR6 and Matchbox E-Type, it's the toy car proportions I realize I liked over real proportions. This one looks more accurate than the Matchbox.

My bad, I thought you're going to pass this one lol.

I thought Matchbox is accurate too, it's just that Matchbox version is the regular one while the Hot Wheels version is the Lightweight one.

Shame the wheels on the Jag are different.

Matchbox transports. I'm in for the Model S with the Tesla Semi.

True they aren't the exact same cars. I adore the proportions on the Matchbox that I actually don't like the IRL E-Type nearly as much

That stubby stature is what got me hooked. I've nearly all the (modern) Matchbox E-Types at this time.

Nearly brought a tear to my eye....

Well fellow collectors this should be my last post here. Not sure if I can get back in the game. If not I wish you all the best. It’s been a hell of a ride for me and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

Thanks all!!

Stopped by a Walmart in the middle of nowhere. Happy to see I went in as new boxes were on skids, but it looks like someone already went through them all.

Among the two mainlines boxes, one car was taken, so I guess it was either a $TH or some JDM hot commodity. The other box was the F&F 2019, opened, but untouched.

I was seriously contemplating on picking up a whole set, but a recently won auction tells me it may not be worth the effort.

So I grabbed the two for the pretty art:

Well got some more Hot Wheels from my dad and my uncles collection just the other day.

I don’t remember what this one is, but it’s from the “Crack-Ups” series. It’s missing the camper shell and the base is super oxidized, I think it even has mold from where it was kept. :ill: Definitely taking this one apart!

This Camaro paint isn’t too bad, but the tampos certainly aren’t the best. The axles are severely bent and without a doubt they will be fixed soon!

Based on my research, I think this came from a play set. My dad is wanting to restore it and give a color very similar to what it had before. He says I can put whatever wheels I want on it though.

A Truckin’ Transporter of some sort. Don’t have the vehicle it came with, just the truck. Going to try to figure out what came with it and hopefully I’ll find it.

Since taking these photos, I have already taken the first 3 apart and should have them fixed up soon. Hopefully I’ll inherit more of my dads collection in the future!

Great haul today. Only one Walmart I went to had the box with fast and furious cars and haulers but no Datsun or Buick GNX

Also found three Forza cars in the box display
