Kyosho says hi again:

Any info for when the next batch of Tomica cars will start for the US series? Might try and get some premium or other models online.

There's been a dude buying a lot of my Kyoshos. In the last 3 years, I've had positive net total that exceeded net spending from 2015 alone.

I'm quite optimistic I can get most of the Kyoshos out eventually, but he's taking all the good ones at the moment.

Iirc, a dark metallic blue 58 Corvette. But don't take my word for it, I could be way off lol, I bought that one new about 20 years ago, haven't seen one complete since.
Well you got the Corvette part right, however, the color looks like silver to me in that picture. Thank you. Now if I can just find it, that'd be cool.

I noticed you liked my post from back in June about those Parkn Plates castings and that Twin Mill I spotted. What are your thoughts on Jacks offer for them altogether? I've done a little research and I feel like it's a good deal, but I still would like your input on it.

The park & plates are a good deal, specially because of the Sol Aire (biased, I collect it lol), the Twin Mill not so much but it's not unreasonable.

Wow, I actually made a good observation for once. Well if I have the money and he still has them there, I will certainly consider it, in fact, I may purposely avoid looking at the rest of the mall just so I don't go crazy. Fortunately I told him to hold onto them and that I will probably get them next time I come, so they will hopefully still be there.

Got a few things.

Accord Johnny Lightning, 4 of the grey 50th cars, the last three Horizon 4 cars, and a Nova Wagon gasser that I haven’t been able to find.

My TLV Evo V is currently winging its way from Japan to the UK and my buddy in my hometown has a Johnny Lightning Import Heat Evo VII waiting for me the next time I'm down.

A good time to collect Lancers.

I'm really starting to get sick of RWB. I love Porsches A LOT but people are hyping the hell out of it.

Welcome to the world of people not understanding that the appreciation comes through moderation and not milking.

Just bought three of the red RS6 mainlines from a local HW group on facebook. Didnt find a single one when they were in the shops, so will open two and leave one carded. Only £1.50 each so no more than they would've been at retail.

Well, I don't know with anyone else but opening the 787B box is really difficult, I ended up getting a bit of light tear on the box. I won't bother opening it again I guess, the details look great and everything but for some reason damaging the box just pissed me off and turned me off of the model (stupid I know).

But the Bluebird and the Evos kinda made up for it. I ended up liking them more.

Just got the new TLV Datsun Violet/710 release.

Now on the surface, the yellow car would seem to be a simple re-release of a casting from 2008, shown here in gray.

However, IRL the Violet used two different suspension setups depending on trim grade. Pedestrian models used a live axle, while SSS models got IRS.
Does TLV check out, or did they simply recycle the bottom plate from 2008?

It’s easy to bash TLV these days because of high prices and cost-cutting, but that’s a level of dedication right there that you won’t see on too many other 1/64 models.

Been seeing some new cars lately. Smyths toy shop has been my go to place to pick up Hot Wheels, and occasionally I've found one or two in Morrisons - finally got an Audi quattro, but in the "wrong" colour, so still hoping for a white one but may have to get that online.

Smyths has been a happy hunting ground. From last week:

The red R33 joins the purple one I bought from Modelmatic. The blue R32 partners my white one, and the rest I'd either been hoping to find for a while (510, Civic) or just took my fancy (Raptor, Camaro).

Then today:

No 6/6, the Porsche 993 GT2, but I'm sure it'll turn up. Might pick up a second set to leave intact as I always open everything.

510...didn’t mean to influence your train of thought with my post

wow..sweet detail i would have totally missed this hadnt been for ur post added to my wishlist now

on an another note,i think TLV offers the best quality for the money ...no plasticky looking bits tht looks like they were glued on rather than cast metal...as a bonus we get free rolling wheels(which is quite a deal in my books, not tht i want to race them down a track...but becoz i feel the fundamental component of an automobile is rolling wheels)

Agreed. With TLV, almost always you get what you paid for (in exception of having to install the damn side mirrors ourselves).

TLV Achievement Unlocked : "Oh God I Can't Control Myself Please Help"

👍

Antenna's and spoilers that require installing on some models as well. That stuff is annoying but their attention to detail is top class.
