A week off work and the Tesco I pop into on the way in hasn't had any new HW.

Makes me glad, as it means I haven't been pipped to any of the licensed cars I want.

I've all but given up round here. My local (small) Tesco hasn't stocked HW for nearly a year, the Sainsbury's hasn't had new stock in ages. Wilco has stopped carrying HW in favour of their own brand cheap generic toy cars. Further afield and the bigger Tesco has only had early cases, The Entertainer toy shop in York has early cases galore (must have seen 20+ red R33's!). ASDA and the bigger Sainsbury's must have a resident scalper as all they ever have is fantasy HW's (sick of seeing GoPro chassis and bloody minecarts!) so I'm consigning myself to a new Tomica Limited or Premium each month instead.

Depending on what you've got nearby, other places to try are Smyths (always has a good stock of the entertainment cars), Morrisons (bit hit and miss), Mothercare, and B&M (both seem to be good for last year's cars so worth keeping an eye on if you miss out this time round). I found 2 blue Gulf Porsche 917s in a B&M, for example.

What are you guys looking for?

Just anything new. To put it into context, the latest casting I found anywhere was the white Z32!

Plymouth Smyths is normally pretty sloppy for premium HW. I've become a lot more selective what I buy now and I'm just waiting for the A-Class, Panamera, MX5 and RS5.

Well (big) Tesco through a curveball at me last night as they now stock Matchbox!

Nothing of any real interest in the case however lots of generics and some blue RS6's and green Mercedes 240's. I haven't been interested in MB's for years, having only picked up the silver Hakosuka and Polestar Blue V60.

Only castings that I'd look at are the SVX and FK Civic (though they appeared to completely mess that latter up).

Yeah, me too, since most of my HW's end up in storage in the back room, I'm not so desperate when I don't find them. Plus sick of having to find ones where the tampos aren't completely messed up.

In other news...

Excellent 'tribute' (I won't say replica) to the BTCC car and great wheel choice (I hop they're the correct ones).

I've been a bit inactive here lately as I haven't added anything to my collection in a while. But another package arrived today with two more CM's.

Ford Escort Cosworth | 1993 Acropolis

Only missing 1995 Indonesia Rally Cosworth from Series 16 now.

Ford Escort Cosworth | 1996 Swedish Rally

This one completes Series 9 though. That includes the secret car. Yay!

Yes, that 850 is an excellent livery. Close without being a replica. Be nice to see it recoloured in some period Volvo colours like the buttercup yellow and saffron gold.

Grrr I remember passing on the Repsol livery as it was asking for a lot at the time! But that Acropolis one looks super tight with the decals.

Nice find, dude. Me gusta jelly.

What Price do they go for around bro if you don't mind me asking?

These went for 800 Yen each which is a pretty fair price. It's possible to get them cheaper... and much more expensive if you're looking outside of Yahoo Auctions. If they show up at all.
But bear in mind that if you use a proxy service (Yahoo auctions only sell within Japan) that you need to pay the domestic shipping fee from the seller to the proxy service, plus an additional fee to the proxy service. And finally, the international shipping from the proxy service to you.

Guys-do you know much about Hot wheels I have a car here with error paint would it be worth anything?

That really depends on a lot of things, where you are going to sell it, and to whom. Collectors might pay more, you can look around online shops, but online auction can be a good start too.

Visited the local small Tesco tonight to pick up some bits after work and found they've started stocking HW again, picking up these three. There was also some white 993's but I'd rather have the blue.

What I bought last weekend. I like it more than the 1/64 of the newest model because this one is LHD, unlike former which is RHD.
