Man my stores around here suck ass... The targets and walmarts have recently stopped stocking their pegs (or collectors just buy wholesale offa the retail stores... seems like they only have 3-4 different models in stock and maybe 12 cars at most ALL THE FREAKING TIME)

I've been looking for the GRB, but no beans here in the states. Also been looking for some donor cars to swap wheels, it's something i wanna try, but alas, that's not for this thread.

I had the white WRC GDB and the chrome one with nickle plated axels.I remember there was also a lulzy Focus with a WRC wing, but no WRC aero. Got that one too.

Recently found some of my more recent collection pieces:

the original red C4 Rally and a yellow Ford Focus wearing WTCC apparel (well not really, some aggresive aero and some good looking wraps)

Can someone hook me up with a couple of the non-basic cars?

That Challenger dropped my jaw just now.
I don't do international shipping. sorry I had to..... :P

I've been enjoying the premium cars more, too. Especially the "Boulevard" & the "Garage" series. Vintage was a hit & miss IMO, with cars like this Challenger & the 510/Bluebird being huge hits. 👍

P.S. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna open this Vintage Challenger. I feel the urge(don't get too excited Cano lol).

Hmmmm...... How do I counter that, considering you've been posting like several hundred more cars than me, most of them being way rarer than this one......

Fax! Sheet! Mothertrucker! Ah, soooo! Japanese for: oh, really!

That's all I got right now. I'm going to bed.

I want more of the Vintage Racing cars, but the Garage and Boulevard cars are more reasonable at $3.29, where I'm really hesitant to pay $4.99 for the others. :nervous:

Uggghhh I hate you all people who have these high-end series in the pegs and even complain about their price. You have them dirt-freakin' cheap. In here a Garage/Boulevard is NEVER bellow 10 bucks, and Vintage Racing cars can be as high as 15 bucks.

Exchange rates might have something to do with that.

I have the right to complain because I live paycheck to paycheck so I'm always broke. :P

$.88 mainlines are one thing, $5 collector series are another...

Edit: List updated some more. About 75% finished. All those VW cars I stumbled upon a couple days ago are on the list too. Look under "Baja Bug" and "VW Bug" on the list.

Vintage Racing, Garage and Boulevard just don't exist round here. Heck, even 5 packs and blind bags are rare so I have to make do with the mainlines or nothing at all.

Things were very different when I lived 200 miles nearer London in the 90s and Matchbox were much more available. Here's a few aircraft from the days when Matchbox had excellent extended lines.

Gosh, I didn't know Pep Boys also sold diecasts... Their website lists Speed Machines as available too. Unfortunately, it's too far for my short toy run. :/

Most auto part stores carry Hotwheels.

I know the autozone and stuff by my house carry them but at a premium price. They rarely carry the standard ones, but even the premiums are upwards of $5.

I work at a supermarket and around summer and christmas they start stocking Hot Wheels. It's really expensive though, 1.75 without a club card, but right after the holidays they are half off. I got some Hakosukas for like 70 cents. That was awesome.

I think the grocery stores in my area sell them for $1.09 without a card, $0.99 with the card. I hardly ever go to the grocery stores though.

Here's the JL I bought last night:

I like Johnny Lightning. 👍 They need to pick up their game little bit though. JL & Matchbox line up has been getting their butt kicked by the Hot Wheels lately.

Don't even say it!

I went out of town today, and couldn't resist checking couple of stores along the way.......

Sorry, I know, it's been done, etc. It's just so pretty. lol

I quite like them as well. But I do have to agree on their butts getting kicked. There just hasn't been that many on the pegs here. :indiff: Along with MB releasing stuff that just isn't interesting to us collectors. Miss their more realistic diecasts... :( I still bet Tomica pegs are bare at Toys R Us, those haven't been restocked for months.

Nice finds! Still waiting to find the new stuff at local stores. However, I did just get a new job (won't start until July though...) that's a couple towns away. And soon enough, I'll be able to have my own car again, ever since the Subaru was sold off for scrap. So maybe I'll sneak some runs on the way to and from the new job. :D

Anyone else becoming rather annoyed by the large amount of pegs of pixar cars? Seriously, that stuff isn't selling... Guess they were just ambitious...but rubbish. (TG ref :sly:)

When I started buying them, for my nephew at first, I think it might've been '09 or '10? Matchbox impressed me, and Johnny Lightning were nothing short of amazing. Not so much, lately. I picked up a gigantic set of Tomica train/car set at Toys R Us on clearance, while back. I was under the impression they washed their hands of Tomica brand at that store.

P.S. Congrats & good luck on the new job!

In my whole life of collecting HWs. I would never even think auto part stores sell Hot Wheels.

Yep Hot Wheels is owning Matchbox and Johnny Lighting these days. Man I miss the 90's and early 2000s when all three had the greatest selection to choose from :(. I want MB to re-create the Supra Mkiv, FD RX7, Escort Crosworth RS and a few other cars I miss. The only collectable MBs are the Caterham, G37, Evora and a few others.

But I'm glad HW is expanding themselves from the fantasy cars to the real car culture. Ranging from JDMs, US Muscle, Euro Exotics, Trucks and SUVs and racecars. Soon we should call HW the next GT. :D

A6...... GIVE ME YOU GRB WRX STi and IROC Camaro NAO!!!!!!!!!! Hand them over.

P.S. Good luck with the new job bro. :)👍

Holy crap i totally forgot about Tomica at TRU... I have a CBA R35, but that's it. I kinda want the MarkX, but other than that there's no single pack cars i want. The GRB and Evo X pack look good, but at 9.99 it's rather a turn off...

I remember seeing the yellow S2000 hot wheel from yesteryear at dollar tree a few weeks ago... i totally regret not buying it.

I traversed to K-Mart today, and i was kinda disappointed. There was a good array of Hot Wheels from 2010 up. I found the yellow 510 and i was tempted to buy it (would love to swap out the stockers for the minilites found on the boulevard set). Also saw a huge ass lifted off road truck (i think the name was "Sandblaster" or something). Holy hell that was awesome! i swear it was almost twice the size of a normal hotwheel

Isn't that Subie kick ass? I think it's pretty much the paint job that do it for me.

P.S. You do know that Medigo's the one who's getting a new job, right? :odd:

Edit: I already have an IROC(one of my childhood dream cars), I can't believe I bought two more.

Yep, you gotta love the Scooby. I'm saving up for a STi around 2004-2006 GDB chassis. Love that car.

You have a IROC Camaro irl?!:P

Just joking, yeah the IROC is a childhood car of mine as well. Growing up in the 90's, one of my friends dad owned one of these. I love hearing that roaring engine when his dad put his foot on the gas. A true beast, kick 🤬 and take names. :mischievous:👍

Yeah I was talking to Medigo about his new job. I forgot to refer the message to him. These typos always happen when it's late and I'm tired at the same time. My bad. :dunce:

my latest latest purchase, yet another TH this year brining total to 4! :) also as some of you know a have 3 of TH 52' Chevy and I'm more then happy to trade 2 of them for any other 2012 TH that I'm missing, I even willing to send it worldwide :)

Seems like HWC just announced that the K Mix of Hot Wheels is being shipped. Meaning... the Z4 GT3, yellow/black Camaro ZL1, orange Challenger R/T, white BMW 2002, Camaro Conv, and possibly the Dan Wheldon tribute Indy car will be coming to stores. :D Still haven't seen the J mix in my stores yet... :( Some other news is that there are new Boulevards out! For some reason I couldn't find the pictures of the mixes on HWC.com, but I did find someone's video on some of them. If anyone's interested... (Mind the music and person)

Ugh, so many things I want to buy this weekend. 1:43 scale HW Ferrari Grand Prix models that are being clearanced out. Tomica (I decided I'll finally buy them! Want the Mitsuoka/Legacy B4 pack and Toyota Mark X -The only single left on pegs-) The J mix of cars, basically the Subaru and S2000. And NOW the new boulevard cars. Add to that I need to get something for my mom on mother's day. >_<

I also noticed there was some empty space on the shelf below the pegs at Walmart last time I was there. Maybe that means my store will finally get the new mystery cars! If they do, that'll be more money spent. X_x

I saw some of the boulevard cars yesterday at K-Mart, dunno if they were the new ones (probably not), but i lulled at the IMSA-like Mustang
