Ammo? I was wishing I had a frag grenade! Seriously though, I think every single Tomica from my childhood(mine & friends) all had those wheels. I don't doubt that they had produced different styles, but I honestly don't recall one from memory.

Harry's storage cases are very similar to what I keep my CD collection in, and they tuck in very nicely under the bed(all the musics on iTunes anyway). Here's the pic I've posted before of the cases I've been using:

$3 & change at Walmart.

NOOOOOOOOOO DUUUUUUUUUUUUDE!!!!
WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO????

You don't want that car with those freaking horrible wheels!!!!

I'm ashamed to say, I quite like those horrible wheels. They remind me of those cheap crappy supermaket cars, I used to get as a kid.

Oh and thanks for the new sig.;)
Only 5000, Cano?

Why did I think you had more?
Hm.

I don't know why, but I was expecting Cano to have a lot more than 5000, as well.

Never seen a Maisto T-Bird that colour. Is that a Maisto?
Also, Andy, don't forget the White Balance setting on your camera; another way of filtering photons.

It's a Maisto, sir.

White balance? All the lights were soft yellow lights on the T-bird and the lights were bluish on the van. Little post-processsing done. You can't make the image all white if the original image was all yellowish because you end up forcing too many things to happen making a weird photo, so I purposefully left it yellow tinted.

F.A.O 1:64 Diecast Collectors

It has been brought to our attention, after viewing this thread for a while now. It has become apparent that some of you (if not all), are becoming the victims of the latest phenomenon to be taking the world by storm...

If you have a collection of 1:64 diecast ranging from between 200-500 pieces... then it's time for you to face up to it, and admit that you have a very serious problem, and are most likely suffering from what is medically known as: "1:64 Diecast Vehicular Addiction" or "1:64 DVA" (for short).

Here at the "Nessy Ford Clinical Institute", we can guarantee to alieve you from your unhealthy 1:64 DVA addictions.
We have a 100% success rate, in which we use our very own specially developed and scientifically proven methods.

Here is a short list of what kind of life changing benefits you can expect, by signing up to the "Nessy Ford Treatment Program":

No1:
No longer, will you have to worry about your collection encroaching upon your valuable living space.. Thus adding a new "Zen" like quality to your home, by bringing peace and harmony to your storage spaces.

No2:
No more, nagging partners/spouses or parents on routine shopping/grocery trips, which is almost certainly caused by you.. eating into their valuable time and patience, just so you can selfishly feed your addiction.

No3:
Thanks to our Treatment Program. You will no longer be the subject of ridicule, and looked upon as being a social outcast amongst your peers and the general public... You will also no longer find yourself engaging in embarrassing acts, such as: "Box/Peg Raiding" or "Treasure Hunting" or (the worst trait of the lowest collector)... "Scalping".

No4: (Very important)
The wonderful by-product of the Nessy Ford Treatment Program, is that it will free up monetary funds you didn't even realise you had. Drastically improving the quality of your life.
Though we realise and appreciate that the vast majority of you, will not know what to do with your newly found wealth. So that's why we at "Nessy Ford" have (selflessly), set up a special donation account to try and help relieve the burden. So please don't hesitate to make numerous amounts of generous donations.

Question, "How do I get started on the Nessy Ford Program?"

A: Good question. Here are the steps:

No1:
Carefully package your entire 1:64 Diecast Vehicular Collection, into suitable boxes. (Very Important) Be sure to wrap every loose model in suitably soft material (ie:bubblewrap), and also package carefully into suitable boxes.

No2:
Make sure the box containing the goods, are properly sealed and secured to avoid opening or possible damage during the Postal/"Healing" process of your treatment.

No3:
(Very, very Important)
Carefully and clearly mark this address on the box/boxes/shipping crate/s.

Q:
"Wow! this sounds great!.. but what will it cost me?"

A:
Absolutely nothing.. except the international mailing charges.

Q:
"How serious is my addiction?"

A:

There's no real way of knowing, unless you send us your entire collection Immediately. Only then can we give a full assessment, and give you the best course of action to help conquer your addiction.
Failing that... just send us your most treasured and rarest diecast, and we'll see what we can do.

Q:
"Iv'e heard there are many many kinds of 1:64 DVA... is this true?"

A:

Why yes indeed. What you've heard is correct.
Here at the "Nessy Ford Clinical Institute", we specialise in all types of "1:64 DVA". ie: Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Corgi, Majorette, and Siku, though our main specialty is dealing with the most rare and expensive types of addictions. ie: Tomica, Kyosho etc etc. If you are showing possible symptoms of either of these two brands.. We highly recommend you send us the offending items IMMEDIATELY!, So we can assess the severity of the addiction swiftly.

Additional notice

We demand, that all those who have recently purchased the HW 2013 Celica, forward them to us IMMEDIATELY!. We only ask this in interest for your own safety. The highly addictive nature of the offending cast will only leave you wanting more, thus furthering your uncontrollable addiction.

Disclaimer: We Do not treat addictions towards Maisto or Jada. We also operate under a Zero return policy.

This is just straight-up Awesome! i cannot imagine anything cooler than being able to design your own HW. 👍
It's unfortunate about the circumstances to be able to do such a thing, but glad to read you've made a full recovery. 👍

@ Driving Park,
I'm clearing shelf space to be able to deal with your problem as we speak.

Just read the past few pages. Highlights for me: At 1ness's clinic and Cano going Ape over someone's purchase

Wow! I remember the Speedasaurus, I had one as a kid. Completely forgot that thing existed.

As for something else. Once again browsing craigslist out of boredom, but decided to look into the collectables section rather than actual cars. Found this ad:
http://maine.craigslist.org/clt/3231958259.html
In the same town that I live, so it shouldn't take too long to get there. Should I email asking for pictures of what they have? Tempted...though obviously not paying $2000 for the whole lot... :ouch:

Edit: Emailed the person, asking if I could pick out individually. Though I'm kinda concerned with the fact that the post was a month ago. :scared:

I never forget a Hot Wheel:sly: My brother got this one at my local toy store (Kit Kringle) about 2 or 3 years ago, i remember about 5 1/2 years ago we seen the Virtual Collection one and he thought about getting it but he put it back for a yellow Murcielago:crazy: (which i still wish he didn't) I hope they release another one soon, it may be a dinosaur, but it isn't exstinct from the Hot Wheels line just yet:sly::lol:

Great detail on that car. Details?

Sounds very much like a scam to me. Beware boys.

 Daz . . . totally epic. Never laughed so hard. Good one. 👍 Yes, my names Harry P and I suffer from acute DVA.

Nice one At1. Unfortunately, that would never work for me. I tried quitting before. My case would require an intervention.

Sony: I like the Radio Flyer! 👍 Hot Seat's interesting, but I'm gonna pass.

Medigo: It looks like the dude is trying to sell the whole lot, though it would be nice if he let you cherry-pick. I looked for Hot Wheels in craigslist once, and they actually had deals in there, but I haven't bothered to look in there since.

930: It was $8.88 on eBay, disconitued, still in packaging, with free shipping! We all know that there are million nicer 930s out there, but let's put things in perspective. :sly:

Harry: You wheel-swapped! 👍 Looking good, man. More Hot Wheels need to come out with rubber tires!

$miglo: Nice stuff, I especially like the Mustang Convertible. Good thing Cano wasn't around to wear out the swear filter!

MarcoM: Be careful. We were just talking about how fast our "collection" grew, and they all started with just couple of cars. :P Kenmeri, '70 Celica & Ken Block Fiesta means that you'll fit right in, too. We all seem to agree on those in here!

Jason: Your two sets of wheels I did like better. Harry's has strong gold color, but it still looks better than the stock to me!

This thread moves so fast......

Sony: I like the Radio Flyer! 👍 Hot Seat's interesting, but I'm gonna pass.
I got the blue Radio Flyer from Wal Mart back in 2006, it was a mainline vehicle then, hasn't been used much since then. As for the red one, that is my brothers, i think he got it when it 1st released! The Hot Seat i got at Kit Kringle a few years back, my brother has the final run series Hot Seat as well.:D By the way what do you mean pass?

Yep true!:dopey:

The 911 I posted a picture of is a Johnny Lightning.

Which I got for free from a fellow die-cast collector here in Slovenia. :dopey:
