I just figured that for the time it would take to search "1979 yellow Hot Wheels truck Speedy Removal tampo" and look through pages to find the answer, you guys would know what it is as soon as I could photograph it.

Yeah, it was in a box of my mom's sister's Hot Wheels. The others were a green Ice T, black Hot Bird, gold chrome Top Eliminator, grey Baja Breaker with opening black plastic hood, black T-Totaller, and a "Rocky II" Corgi Trans Am.

McZachen has been absorbed by the HW Borg. Resistance was futile.

Relatives' houses are now being raided.

I had to get most of these pictured below, opened. Hard work, but someone had to do it.

I can never catch up - so I decided to get at a whole bunch at once. The Top Row - Left, are the ones picked for customising, Middle bunch for trading, and the bunch on right for my display wall.

The entire bunch at the bottom had to be opened (long overdue).

So I set it up last evening and started off:

I sat there looking at this bunch and thought - whoa, people think this is play. This is hard work.

McZachen - haven't you ever watched Star Trek? Borg? Resistance is futile? Is this futile?

Further Edit to answer your question - top to bottom that you've circled - Blue Ford Falcon, next one not sure, things got shuffled round a bit after the photo, then a white Bimmer Z4, then the gold Maverick Grabber, then the group is Porsche, Lambo, Lambo, Ferrari, BMW.

Alright, so I sat there looking at this bunch, and heck, thought I'd open a five-pack first - plus this would be five cars at once - and all of them patrol cars to add to my fleet:

The Jag and Haku came along for the ride. The Husky Jag is probably the longest lived car in my collection. The Skyline is the current flavour and has already been with me to work many times, and rallied across many surfaces. So they are Guests of Honour at this Opening Ceremony. ;)

It's going to go on my desk at work starting tomorrow.

Star Trek :yuck:

Star Wars

I meant what kind of cars those were! ::crazy:

Youve got it!

I the most unnerdy way possible, I have all of the original '77-'82 figures...

Worth a lot now, but theres nothing on the planet that would make me part with them...

It looks nicely detailed. 👍 What brand is that?

I'd display hot wheels at work, every now & then, but I have to keep it simple because of the ignorant crowd. :P I think I've had the Back to the Future DeLorean, Ghost Busters, and the A-Team Van displayed before.

Sorry - thought you were asking me what 'Borg' was (check your post.) I answered with an edit - check mine again - hope I got all you asked for. Also - I'm going to be posting opened cars soon, so we'll see all those close-up.

Yes, very nice car, Crash, what brand is it? Great detail on lights, rubber, etc.

Admit it - if you took a gun to work, you'd be less looked-down upon.

Okay! Enough kidding around. Back to work! Opening Hotwheels!

First, I opened this MB 5-Pack of Patrol Cars - turned out to be four cruisers in chase of a red (what else) 911 turbo.

If you open your boxes with some care, you can always put the cars back in when you need to store/trade them. Use a sharp knife - if you're under eighteen, please call an adult. :)

To be suddenly presented with 4 Cop cars - one of them an Interceptor (just read the article about the RL car in this month's issue of MT) and the other an Evo got me pumped up. I started looking for other Patrol cars in packages that I may have missed hidden amongst the crowd on my display wall.

Yeah, that edit wasn't up when I posted, but thank you regardless! 👍

The city my girlfriend lives in has a few of those Ford Interceptors (not sure if they're the Ecoboost versions) as well as Caprices. No Chargers yet. Yet...
That MotorTrend issue doesn't do those car justice in terms of looks. You really need to see those in person to respect how intimidating they truly are.

Done that, bunch of times. I recently had this sitting by my feet at work, because I had to go pick it up on my lunch break. It was in the case, but there were bunch of show & tell! I have very understanding coworkers. :P

And don't get me wrong, my peeps loved those movie cars, especially the DeLorean. :D
I'm not a Trekie by any means but the new movie was good. Can't wait for the next one.
Funny how we didn't care a whole lot for the original, but we like the remake(same here). With the Star Wars, it's probably the other way around.

I had a Lincoln Police car in the Big Pile, so I pulled that out quick and then harvested more patrol cars in packages from my various wall displays.

As you can see above, scrounging around my walls for unopened patrol cars brought the Green Team MBX Porsche to my attention. A quick check on Google confirmed that it had doubled in price. Who cared - not me. The new 911 Turbo need to be met by a worthy Porsche. An older red Porsche also came along to join the Haku and Jag, hearing that there was a bit of a stir concerning Porsches.

Slit your packages neatly and you can pop the cars back in to their cases and glue them shut if need be:

If you are reinserting cars back into their packages, just make sure to put the right cars in when repackaging! ;)

Thanks guys, it's made by Norev.

People at my work generally comment much about desks. I have a few car related stuff hanging on my desk. When I was in Europe though, a colleague who's not a car guy was borrowing my desk, and he told me that people would come up and talk to him about car stuff, and he would have no idea what they are saying and have to tell people that it's not actually his desk.

I'm going through my room finding all kinds of cars I forgot I had.
The best part are the 1/43 Bburagos. :D

and this dope-ass Bat

I got that off eBay recently not knowing it was a 2013 model too.

^ me too, im a guilty spender, think my record is $450 on a single car and $1000s on a single order

I feel less guilty after reading this. I told myself to not spend anymore than $5 on a single car (except for the time I bought that one BTTF Delorean), and to not spend over $100 on an order (includes shipping) since I'd get charged on customs. :)

Name on base?

Honestly? Come on, Jason, we all know how to check the base before asking.

Well your very responsible, well I went into my super Thunt closet and other cool stuff..

And I found something I didnt know, someething special.

I found a ZMAC Unmarked, real riders on front, regulars on back... Volkswagen Dragbus proto.....

IF this is real; its my 4th ZMAC proto!
