Got some new stuff today, mostly donors (found on the other thread), some dupes to wheelswap and possibly paint, but here's the new stuff (that you guys like to look at) I didn't have before:

Finally for the first time ever, I found it..... good thing I looked for a bin at Walmart. It seemed like they were holding back on their 2013 stock and were pushing out the rest of the 2011s they had left.

TOTALLY OVERPAID.

Give it a rest. We're okay with paying an extra percentage more for a car we want... I've buy buying basics for $1.44, but I didn't mind since I'd never find them in stores anymore anyway.

Did you just find Hakosuka?

Cano: You better end all your posts with ":P" at the end from now on. We take you very seriously & literally. *wink-wink*nudge-nudge* :P

Screw them.

BUT! Help me out. Today I found brand new stock on a supermarket I had not been at in YEARS because they didn't even have a toy aisle. I went there to buy a coulpe of things today and BAM! 2013 and 1012-on-2013-blister cars. And I found the mail Breadbox which, if I remember correctly, was the season's first TH, right?

This one:

How in the heck are you supposed to know it's a TH now? These cars suck more and more every damned year.

See that little circular half-flame logo below the stripe that goes the length of the body?
That shows that it is either a TH or a $TH (I can't remember).
Superb finds you have. 👍

Tree'd! :ouch:

I don't collect, but my nephew just loves hotwheel cars. They are only a buck, so everytime I go to Target(department store) or something, now I pick up a couple. I gotta tell you, I now pick one up, here & there for myself.

TH only. All supers have rubber tires.

@ Cano - not worth very much actually.

Forget eBay Cano, supermarket stuff is our jurisdiction. You just send them over to your favorite "supermarket stuff" collectors. Remember, I'm the nice one, never call you names, except the nazi thing.
Yes. It's sad I know.
.......you are not from 'round here. Harry, he's from another planet.

Epic funny at Harry's description of my 'habit'. It's extra funny, when it's the absolute truth.👍

That was actually your very first post in this thread (years ago) and look how far you've come.

Actually my collection had a growth spurt, too, after joining you maniacs. Well, maybe not a growth spurt, more like a mini explosion. Even my family has started noticing that ....."you actually collect them?!"

Ace - fabulous collection. As the Generale himself mentioned, that's a lot of money in there. In fact that's time invested in there that has now turned into money. Great selection, I must say, quite unique. I recommend you go through this whole thread when you have the time; there are actually some very stunning collections in here, posted in the past - some that actually matches the caliber of yours, and that may impress you.

Even in his very first post, he claims he doesn't collect.!

Extremely jelly of your 240z, a6. Just beautiful  Oh and congrats on your 1000th post in this thread.

Wow, that must be my first post in here, indeed. My nephew's so over hot wheels these days.

And goat, is it really my 1,000th post in this thread??? Beautiful haul, by the way. 👍 I so wish that black Camaro had same proportionate front & rear wheels seen on the KITT right next to it. :guilty: Not in the pic, but I just bought the red Camaro again. It was an impulse buy at the grocery store, and also so I can open this one up!

Edit: How do you find your post count in a particular thread?

Indeed it is. ;) You've got more posts than Cano.

Agreed, I hate the oversized rear wheels on the Camaro, almost ruins the whole thing for me.........almost.

I haven't even found one yet. :(

Do you guys think you're overpaying? $2.50NZD for a shop car (works out that with the 4 for $10 deal). :grumpy:

BTW, 135 posts for me.

Yay, we all hate the big rear wheels!(us, old people like to whine!).

You are no longer 'goat' in my replies. You've been upgraded. From this point on, I shall refer to you as "Magic", or "Mr. Magic Johnson".

Congratulations on your promotion.

Don't you even start. You don't want to play this game, Cano's still around here somewhere.

P.S. I've meaning to tell you, your avatar = AWESOME.

How does Goat get promoted to Magic? Shouldn't it be like Wild Buffalo, or at the very least Giraffe?

Now, now, low post count means nothing. As does high. For such a low post count, you are quite well-known around here; no need to hack it ;)

I'll be keeping watch for a Hako for you.

I have the Citroen, but been looking for that damn Mini.

I was telling you guys about this grand opening ceremony hard work I was doing opening a whole bunch of cars at once. So I had to stop playing with the Taxis, and Porsches, and so on and get back to work. The brand new Porsche broke down as soon as it saw the MB Tow Truck, and had to be towed around the parking lot for awhile. But they were sent away to the back of the lot - there was work to do.
Well, to get back to this campfire story - there I was now, ready to open the new Cobra (love Cobras, and quite excited when I get a new one) and also the Viper and De Lorean.

100_0417.jpg

Here's a close up - I liked the all-metal Indy car, and the Firebird, too. A sure pick for customising.

100_0418.jpg

The Viper is well made - again a lot of quality for so little money. Obviously as the technology, and cost-cutting improves, the quality of these cars are going up - not all of them, though. Most times HW tampos are skewed. and there will be paint drips, or rough edges, but this particular casting/finishing of the Viper is quite well done - and reminded me of the premium Tracksters Viper I had. I knew there were more Vipers in The Big Pile - so I plunged in there again - more work to do! All newbies were pushed to the back lot and the receiving bays were readied again:

100_0420.jpg

Which resulted in a nest of Vipers, and a bonus GTO and XR7. The Mercury is nicely detailed for once, and the GTO of course calls for feverish customising. I was so taken up with this influx of Vipers - too long in the package, and not in the 'playable' part of the collection, that I had to fetch the Tracksters Viper as a welcoming committee (and as a quick comparision, too ;) ):

100_0421.jpg

Well, no time to play - Vipers were told to go park themselves, and a new bunch was opened, this time a selection of exotics. And, damn, if another Porsche doesn't surface out of this pile.

100_0423.jpg

While I'm having a closer look at this lot, I'm wondering if I had missed any unopened Porsche packages. The new Bimmer is nice to have, and the Aston, too, but I keep thinking about Porsches . . . do I have any more packages?

100_0422.jpg

So I take a trek around my walls - and aha! Yes, there were two within my Maisto wall display. They were quickly placed on the chopping block. A couple of Porsches from my opened collection came around to watch the action, including an old opening-doors Major that I had. Another new package to join the pile was the Super Snake - been wanting to open that for ages. I promised myself that if I got through this pile I would treat myself to opening that, too.

028-1.jpg

The Maistos were hastily opened and all the new Porsches to the garage were finally together - ready to join the others . . . like a herd of turtles.

100_0425.jpg

So quite a haul there in one opening session - six lovely Porsches in one sweep. One more - and I would have had seven in one blow.

Well, here's a video of the A case containing the 2013s.

YouTube Link

26 minutes. :scared:

Woah!!!! Now I really need to save up now!

Dem 2013 cars!

R1600Turbo
http://www.1stopdiecast.com/

$91.95 shipped to your door.

That's $1.27 per car. Not bad considering the money you save on gas driving around looking for them.

Hmmm.... Not bad of a deal, expensive yes, but thinking of transportation, gas and even to get a bite from a fast food joint while you're HW hunting and buying HW and MBs, THEN adding up all that money spent, for several months. And don't get me started on a 365 day HW hunt (Jan 1- Dec 31) for a collector!

But for that price and I could find the cars I'm looking for and I can either trade and/or sell the cars for profit? Win-Win situation I smell here.

R1600Turbo
Oh yeah? You really won't like me now.

👍

I WANT THAT 599XX!!!

photonrider
Pithy, pithy car-yolas.

SkylineFaux - Great rack. What's it - about 5' X 4', and holds 200 cars? Slate-grey stain and polyurethane may give you a nice finish on the light wood. Bit of work, though.

Wow!!!! Loving the Cars of The Rainbow photon.👍

And I'm liking that beach setting also. :) Instead of taste the rainbow, it's now rev the rainbow!

I'm not so sure why we colored the big dividers white in the first place, but if I had to take a guess, it's to separate whatever series I have in there. Top shelves are for the 60th Anniversary Ferraris, middle columns are for my FTEs/other casts I collect (Sling Shot, Split Decision, Tow Jam, etc.) and the lower ones are the main casts I collect (Nissans mostly). Gotta say though, it's way better than the first color it was in: red all around.

Speaking of Skylines, family shot (c'mon HW, where's the R33?):

I agree with you. Where's the BCNR33 GTR HW?! I need him in my collection ASAP!!! I need my RB26DETT, ATTESA-Pro with HICAS steering and my 5sp MT monster from '95-'98.

I'm totally shocked and filled with jelly dude, now that's a lot of money and years into your collection. Huge props. :)

And after looking at the proto version of the BB, I'm kinda glad they improve it. The piece of metal sticking out on the rear wheel wells and bumper did turn me off though.

Is there a doctor in the house? Sounds like someone is having a heart-attack in here.

Ta, Cardiac - glad you like the picture of the Beach - MG - "Rev to the Rainbow" - are you going to sell that slogan to HW?
Well, it was said here first - so you got copyright.

Now you guys might have noticed the Harley sitting on that pile, and so did I - I was impatient to get to the Harley - and I was beginning to see the bottom of this pile - a few more - there were some HW Livery cars still to be opened, and a peck of muscle cars - but the bike was the next - so on to the block!:

100_0428.jpg

100_0430.jpg

This was a really nice bunch, but I wasn't really too keen on the Ford GT's livery. The tinted glass was too 'toy' for me, too. I might take the tampos off and exchange the glass with a clear version from another Ford GT, since I actually like the goldy tone to the body finish. Some of these packages had been lying around waiting for opening over a year - so it was a good feeling to get the job done - but it was some of the newer ones I had got that influenced me to get cracking on the job, especially this Harley. It actually doesn't fall over - and more importantly - it rolls! It actuall rolls quite far just like a car - even on two wheels. The casting is beautiful, but the handlebars don't match the graphic (obviously production hang-ups, and I can see why it would put the assembly line (and the Production Manager's budget) out of sorts. There was webbing that connected the brake and clutch levers to the throttle and left grip, so I had to cut it off - very carefully, so as not to chop the levers off, too. I left one side uncut to show you what I mean:
