Since my last post, both main stockists have restocked, but with different selections.

Those on the left I got from the hardware store, where I left behind a very nice Custom Camaro, and a station wagon as the decals were very poor.

Those on the right I got at the supermarket, where I rejected a '32 ford as it was damaged.

You will notice at the bottom that each stockist had the same model, but in different colours, suggesting that they were indeed different selections, though those in the centre might have been available in both.

News from the other minor stockists in town;
- The newsagent has sold 1 car, and now has just three on the single peg.
- The discount store still has the same soggy selection as it had before Christmas.
- The general store has upped its selection from 2 pegs to 3, but still nothing I didn't see last year.

Good news from the guys over at Mattel. The Citroen Rally car contract dispute has been settled and the car will be re-released later this year. :)

I got 2 cars today.
A Chevrolet Camaro.

And a cute little Majorette Citroen C1.

That cobra has to be the best looking Thunt this year. I really hope I can get my hands on it. I'll be looking for the R34 too.

I gave my camera to my dad while he is on holidays so no pictures from me till I can get something else to take photos with. Have had a good haul though which ill post when I have some photos to go with it.

Some real nice cars & pics, guys!
Look what's starting to show up in stores:

I used to love those as a kid! I hope they aren't as tough to find as the Ghostbuster's Caddy. ;) :D

Also, lol @ you ripping open, going thru shipping box! 👍

are you serious? I mean, come on, the Shelby Cobra Daytona has got to be the worst hot wheels casting in the entire history O_o and the TH is so ugly I wont even grab the normal version.

It is completely unrealistic I know and in that way it is the worst. But I like the paint job and the look of the car (ignoring what the car is meant to be) from pictures I've seen.

I quite liked the Torino too this year. Chevrolator was definitely the worst this year.

Whats the TH?

After my moaning about how infrequently the shops around here restock, they've both restocked again - thats twice in just two weeks!

Result? I've completely filled another board. I'm particularly pleased with the centre column, especially the (super) T-Hunt$ Ford GTX-1.

No finds here lately. Both of my WalMarts are doing inventory, so they are either not stocking, or in the case of my Super WalMart, found some old boxes in the back and put them out. (stuff from last year) Yay for me.

right now heading off to the local Hot Wheels club bimonthly get-together, so I hope to get some neat stuff today. pics later.

Pics?

Do want!
I wish there was a Hot wheels club get together here... well I wish there was even a Hot Wheels club.

Went through a bunch of boxes in the shed today preparing for my move. Found a lot of HotWheels I didn't know I still had. I'll try and post some pictures tomorrow.

My sister had a gift for me. x3 Gangster Grins. 1 of them a Super. Found most of the speed machines I was after too. Think I'm missing about 3 of the ones I want.

Don't know why the photo has ended up sideways. Imageshack auto rotated it for some reason.

Don't see how some of you are still pick up the fictional cars. I used to like them but I ended solely getting the real ones and I kinda find the fictional ones are often not my taste.

Depends on the car. Like the Twin Mill cars are pretty cool, but most of the fictional stuff lately hasn't really peaked my interest.

Twin Mill is a decient looking car, I picked one up last week. Don't know whether to open it or not!

Robin.

I could say the same thing about supercars. I've never really understood the OMG drool drool attitude towards Porsche, Ferrari, Lambourgini etc, and that was part of the draw towards Gran Turismo - the fact that they were NOT included.

As you say it's all a matter of taste, and my taste has a strong leaning towards modified classics. As such, some of the fictional cars appeal to me if they look like they could be built and driven on the public roads. Others though, like the transparent cars and creatures are just a bit too silly for me.

Ah, I really like the P4 in blue, and that mistery car is way neat. I hope they'll start to show up here soon... but I don't know. We are barely seeing the Skyline here now...

I made a video about laster year or the year before of my collection (I probably got over 1K now and im only 15, lol) But here's the vid, sorry for the odd camra angles its difficult to step over them all :\

Super WalMart score last night. They got in five of the new N-case shippers. I ended up going through three of them. The next guy can have what's left.

got damn that's a lot of stuff... and with keychains!!! instant futre clasics and another card variation for all the completists. Mattel is really making money with these things. I hope we'll be seeing these in a month or so.

as for me, well.... these had been long lost, they were an E-Bay score but the guy that brings them to me from the US did not see them, so I tought they were lost. Nope, he just put them in his Moser rear axle box and recently, when he took it out to install it in his 69 Camaro they popped up. They are all Lesney-Matchbox regular wheels cars from the late sixties.

what? car by car? sure.

First, this tiny Fiat still with it's luggage on the roof and in excelent shape.
lesney3.jpg

a big Pontiac with opening doors, a bit tattered but no one's complaining.
lesney4.jpg

Cadillac ambulance in good shape still sporting it's siren and rooftop lights.
lesney5.jpg

the rarest of them all, an awesome and in excelent shape Studebaker Lark wagon still with the sliding sunroof. This thing's a little marvel.
lesney6.jpg

at freaking last the Ferrari Berlinetta in green and in very good shape, about time even if it's green, if it was red it would be co$t prohibituve.
lesney7.jpg

Way cool 1965 Ford Galaxie firechief car complete with pilot inside, and in excelente shape!
lesney8.jpg

And finally the most tattered of the bunch, first a steerable-front-wheels (see the little lever at it's side?) 1965 Mustang which will be filling the hole in my collection until I find a good one, then it's off to be restored:
lesney9.jpg

And finally a cool Lambo Miura also with steerable front wheels (posable only) and opening doors that has been badly fiddled with, This is gonna be restore right away. I'm thinking orange over black. any ideas?
