Not a bad night for hotwheels hunting. Negative finds at both WalMarts, but managed to find the below cars at Target.

Finally managed to find an XB Coupe (at Supercheap Auto of all places). In fact I got three, the other two going to some mates who have also been looking for the XB. I also got 4 other Hotwheels ('71 Maverick Grabber, '62 Mustang Concept, '66 Fairlane GT and a Citroen C4 Rally Car) as well as a Matchbox F150 SVT Raptor.

I did buy an extra one to customize. Still working on my '92 Mustang drag car, then I'll start working on ideas for the R34.

Edit: If I can find out how to do my own decals without messing them up, a Mine's replica would be fun.

Here's a sneak preview of the Mustang.

 Really want the SVT Raptor and the Scirocco from the posts above. The SVT in particular reaches new levels of awesome, probably the best car the States produces at the moment...

I want the Falcon. That's for sale in the US too right? I'd assume since it's Hotwheels, but haven't heard much about it.

Incidentally RS1600Turbo, what's the yellow roadster top left in the shot with all the other cars? I recognise the shape but can't place it, but there's something quite Fiat X1-9 about it.

'62 Mustang Concept. Same car that TheStig13 has posted a picture of, except the yellow color is the new release.

Yeah, I found mine at Target yesterday. Went back today and there was still one on the pegs. They're slowly showing up around the country. Should be in the same box as the R34 Skyline.

I didn't even see the Falcon in your photo. I was looking at the other cars and it didn't even click. Well I guess my question was already answered :D.

I still haven't found the Ghostbuster's car for myself, but while picking out some for my nephew, I did find the same R34 R1600Turbo posted. Also found couple of cool matchboxes. I'm sorry I don't have pics of them, but they are both from the "Jungle Explorers" series: '68 Land Cruiser & Land Rover Defender.

Very, very cool. No way I'm giving the '68 Land Cruiser to a 2-year old though. :D

Hey R1600Turbo, you silver R34 looks really cool!! Congratulations mate ;)👍

No restock still so no new cars from me :(

I want that GTo station wagon, and the Skyline. Now.

Unfortunately, it will be a while for us to see those around here, about three weeks or a month, but it's good to know they are hitting the stores in the US already.

OK people, I'm gonna show you some stuyff I got ahold of recently. First, at the usual flea market these came out; from top to bottom: minty Hot Wheels Suzuki Samurai, 1988 aprox, mid-80s Matchbox London Taxi with hydraulics (not, but heavy play) that will be refurbished (mostly retouched and given proper axles), mint Guisval (Spain-made, awesome) Cement Mixer, very nice mid-70s Lesney Matchbox Renault 17, rough Tomica fire truck, nail-polish painted mid-80s Siku Porsche 930 that will be restored, China-made but very well achieved Jaguar with opening doors, and a rought but extremely extremely rare mid-70s France-made Majorette Renault 5 that will be restored:

more flea market crawls! from top to bottom: mid-70s Corgi Jaguar E-Type in decent shape, but will be restored, Hot Wheels mid-80s Corvette with opening hood that will also be restored, mint Matchbox Lesney tractor, project Holden Panel van from Matchbox, roughly 5 years old but already almost dead, mid 70s Ford Capri with opening hood from Lesney Matchbox that will be restomodded, Tomica Tyrrel P34 F1 car in decent shape, and two very rough but really rare made in Mexico hot wheels, the Sir Rodney Roadster and a Crack-Up.
triques1.jpg

Also found these mid 70s McGregor/Politoys made in Mexico F1 cars in 1:43, which have found new homes and will be restored:

now for the really serious stuff, some e-bay buys, in here the real jewels are both the Real Rider cars, the Dodge Rampage and the red 1934 Ford coupe, both extremely rare and mint as heck:

And also some Larrys Garages, and four Hall of Fame series including the very elusive Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins Pro Stock 1967 Camaro:

and now some trades with fellow nutcases.

the hot rodded Challenger from Cars, and a couple of 80s Hot Wheels, the red turismo, the Mini Trek Nissan van in rare tan colour and an amazingly well preserved Z-Whizz 240Z:

At last the TH Motorhome and the red Ferrari, the Johny Lightning Vega opens its hood, but the relevant piece here is the 1932 Ford with the really rare 5 spoke wheels variation. I had been looking for it for 11 years (1998 First Edition) and this guy had it with a cut blisterpack. It was the best $2 I've ever spent.
rfded-115.jpg

in here, an early 90s Porsche 930 Slant Nose from Hot Wheels in mint condition, a megaawesome mid 70s France-made Majorette Renault Alpine in SOS livery in very very good shape, an awesome mid-70s Zylmex Dodge Van and a Racing Champions NASCAR Superbird:

And finally, I had not been able to grab these three Matchbox in these colors, but the real shocker here is the ultrarare made in Mexico Packin' Pacer from Hot Wheels in excelent shape.

So there goes. Got tons more but frankly, i'm pretty lazy when it comes to pics, heh.

I still haven't found the Ghostbuster's car for myself...

I found another one tonight. PM me your address and I'll send it your way. 👍

I found a bunch more tonight, so they are definitely hitting the pegs now. Shouldn't be long before they start showing up in your area.

Nice cars, Cano. I got a kick out of the Suzuki Samurai.

Seriously? That would be awesome, actually. Can you do P.O. Box, or should I give you my street address?(work address). You probably have a PayPal account?

I can do whatever you want. No need to send any money. :sly:

Really really nice cars Cano!
I look forward to reading every one of your posts here.

Nice find Cano:tup: Flea Markets and Garage Sales are the best places to find old HW's. The Real Riders are definetely a great find. Most of the old HW's in your pics I remember having when I was a kid (including the RR's). Unfortunately between hammers, BB guns, fireworks, etc all my original HW's are non existant now.

Love the Renaults and the London taxi, Cano. Some great models there. I've been wanting to get a Matchbox taxi for myself, they've been producing pretty much the same model (albeit with different wheels) for years!

it was available last year in grey color with the black "vintage" Hallibrand style wheels and fine detailing, and it was also available about 4 years ago in black with BBS-type wheels, so you may still hunt one down, HfS.

hahahaha the "hammers" part is eerily different but not from me. The other day I went to a fellow collector's house who has about 6,000 pieces in every scale, but most of them are 1:64, his collection was impressive... and he also showed me his "blast from the past", vestiges of cars that he blew to pieces with a hammer!!! included were an indecently rare, only-6-known-in-the-world made in Mexico CIPSA redline hot wheels, of which only the fenders and a piece of the cabin remained, pieces of a couple of way rare made in mexico mid-80s hot wheels, an incredible Spain-Made Pilen Javelin in 1:43 scale of which only a hood and a portion of the cabin survived, and on and on. I was like "duuuude WTF" and he was like "yeah, I know, I ask myself the same every time I open this goddamned box". I actually scored an interior and glass for a Majorette pick up truck I have lying around, as well as a possible cargo box for a Lesney truck that lacks it's rear portion.

EDIT: Got damn sorry for the double post.

Update on the Mustang drag car. Think I got the ride height almost perfect. Agreed?

DSCN2903.jpg

Dude thats freaking sweet! I owned a '93 Mustang GT while in the Navy the old fox body is till one of my favorites. I knew a chief that had a '92 Mustang GT with an 8 pound Novi Paxton supercharger, oh my gosh that thing would plant you in the seat. Great job on this one the wheels make it, the guys at HW's could learn something from you on this!

Edit: Sorry I was on my son's account! this is jswilli1.

very cool. it really looks like a drag car, you nailed the stance. Now it needs a rollcage, a nitrous bottle 'tween the seats and a big block under the hood.

In the progress of drilling out some holes in the headlights for turbo inlets, and I already cleared out the lower grill area for an intercooler. :)👍

nice, what are you gonna use for an intercooler?

I'm building a custom Maverick and I want to put an oil cooler in it but I dont know what to use... well, I know, but it's all metal and I'm lazy about cutting it... I want alternatives.
