They just re-released the Civic Si as a mystery car. I picked up a couple of them, so I may borrow the intercooler from one of them.

I picked up a gray Furai at the Wal-Mart today. I would have picked up the 599XX Speed Machine but I'm flat broke. :indiff:

Nice finds, Cano. I've got one of those Corgi Jags, but it's a bit rough. I also have a Porsche Carrera 6, but it's missing the interior. Both are Wizz wheels (Corgi Jr). That Capri is awesome.

I decided to get some of my old (and not so old) cars out and take some photos of them. (I have included the Stig figurine in these pictures to give an idea of the various scales of these cars).

First up are some Matchbox and HotWheels from 2000-2009

Classic Muscle cars and Hot Rods
kicx0870.jpg

Modern and Classic Muscle Cars
kicx0871.jpg

Supercars and Sportscars (the Zonda is made by Motor Max and is similar in quality to a Hot Wheels car)
kicx0872.jpg

More classic cars (the Porsche 956 is made by Maisto and the Mr Bean Mini is an unknown make)
kicx0873.jpg

Modern race cars
kicx0874.jpg

Other cars that didn't fit into the previous categories
kicx0875.jpg

Next are some various makes of cars (mainly Matchbox and Hotwheels) built from the 1960's to the 1990's (but there are some cars built after 2000)

Racing Cars with paintschemes based on real racing cars. (The three 1970's F1 cars are made by Tomica and the #28 NASCAR and #6 Indy Car are made by Racing Champions)
kicx0868.jpg

Bburago 1:43 scale cars (plus a Hot Wheels Stewart F1 car)
kicx0869.jpg

1970's-'80's Hotwheels (plus a Playart Lamborghini Marzal)
kicx0876.jpg

Various larger scale Corgi's and Matchboxes (plus a Tomica Mitsubishi Jeep and an unknown Australian built VW Beetle)
kicx0879.jpg

'60's-'70's Lesney Matchboxes
kicx0877.jpg

1968 Hot Wheels "Redlines" plus a '31 Duesenberg made in the '70's

Yeah, great collection. I see you have the same grim yellow Lotus 340R that I do, and I also spot in the second-last photo a Matchbox "Freeman Inter-City Commuter", which is one I quite fancy getting at some point. I love some of the old 1960s interpretations about what future cars would look like. Reminds me of some of the stuff you see in Thunderbirds...

And do you really have that many Stigs or did he just want to be photographed in each shot? :P

Yehow I like that Warsteiner BMW... Those old-school F1 cars are wonderful! I wonder where can I get that Stig

Some very nice cars you have there, the 60's & 70's Lesneys in particular caught my eye as most of them appear to be in very good condition - probably better than my own versions.

Your overhead photo's however made it a little difficult to make out what some of the cars are - especially those that I don't recognise i.e. the black car at the bottom left of the first photo, might be a beetle, or might be something else entirely?

Quick update. Comments welcome, I still have to detail it some. Also trying to find a different interior as well. One comment from me regarding the holes for the turbo inlets, yes they are not centered but I got them the best I could drilling by hand. :) Oh, and I still need to cut off the rear tail pipes.

LOADS OF COOL STUFF

ooohhh I see some pretty intresting pieces here. That redline Custom Mustang is really, really hard to come by. And I mean it, REALLY FREAKING HARD. Congrats. also, your Matchbox VW Bus is in way better shape than mine, and that Playart Marzal is ftw. And Mexican matchbox Taxi!!!

R1600, the car looks cool, needs some detailing but it's looking otherwise wicked.

Here's a couple more. Took a couple of the rear, then realized that my detailing isn't that great on the tail lights, so I'm going to re-do them.

Also found these today. The Firebird is supposed to have big wheels in back, and well....so is the Camaro.

-and here-

Your detailing on the front however is really great! I find a photo can really show the flaws in detailing, but not with yours. Great stuff 👍

Also cool errors.

I missed out on the new speed machines 2 weeks ago but luckily found at least some of them at another shop today. Almost emptied the peg so hopefully tomorrow they'll have some of the others when I go past there again.

Also got some of these kyosho cars that I quite like. Stuck with two of my favourite cars. Mclaren F1 and TVR Sagaris.

Found these at Super Wally last night. Saw the box sitting on a pallet in toys, looked around for a stocker and didn't see anyone, so I ripped open the box, snagged these as fast as I could, and got out of there. :D Well, after I got yelled at for jumping over an area of the floor that was being waxed.

Thats really nice. I passed on the light blue '53 Cadillac recently, but will definately grab this one IF I see it. Problem is, there's only two proper stockists in the area and they only seem to restock every other month. Still no sign of the ecto1 around here, so it was probably released one of the months where nobody wanted to restock ;(

Kyoshos = teh win. The long tail is awesome!

and I just picked up (well, a friend did for me) the Speed Machines 599XX, it's the only one in the entiiiiiire series that I really liked, and of course, bonus points for being a new casting.

ooooooohhhhh eyes wide open for that one. Looks ok... but it doesn't seem to be as good as the Tomica version. I hope I'm wrong.

I don't really look into the quality of hotwheels very much. It's a $1 toy. If I think something looks like crap, I just won't buy it.

I just bought my first Hot Wheels car in a decade today! :)

2010-hot-wheels-twin-mill-iii.jpg

Its the 2010 Twin Mill III in Metalflake Lime and I just love the look and colour, they are really really common right so is it worth keeping on card or just opening?

Still havent seen a T-Hunt ever for sale!

Robin.

Well, there is always the Speed Machines version to look out for (assuming that ever happens).

It's not on the list for Speed Machines this year. Although they could pick something to replace the Citroen Rally car since it looks like it won't be released.

It's been a while since I last purchased some HWs, but today I picked up the ones below:

'10 Aston Martin DBS

Shelby Cobra 427 S/C

That's the new one from this year right? Like super new, I haven't even found it yet.

Edit: and it's a shame that Cobra doesn't have a metal base anymore. :(
