You just got the CR-x?

Wow...

Lol yea i know its super old, but every and i mean EVERY store around my house and even the surrounding cities never updates their hot one's selection. Most of em only stock "442-much," the imsa monza, and only a couple more. The only place i get fresh hot ones are at frank and sons... I passed on the recent 930 and that one camper truck.

Can't find stuff earlier than 2007 here. Can you blame me?

Oh hey, is anyone looking for Speed Machines? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hot-Wheels-...?forcev4exp=true&forceRpt=true#ht_2075wt_1398

I'd be all over this except they don't ship to Canada. $2.99 for a randomly-selected Speed Machine; inexpensive for me but I don't like how we can't just pick what we want.

That's what kills me. One customer review said that he ordered multiple quantity, but received duplicates of same models. My local Toys R Sucks, I mean Toys R Us sucks at stocking higher end Hot Wheels, and after seeing what they have remaining in their local stock here, I don't trust them.

.......having said that, you really helped me out here AOS-san. As you guys know, it's the Garage, Vintage Racing, Boulevard series I really covet when it comes to Hot Wheels. After seeing your intel, I went to Toys R Us and found this for $69.99. Then I went to eBay and found the same thing, incomplete for roughly fifty bucks. But what you guys really need to do is go to Amazon, and order two of these like I did. *Edit - But wait, there is more..... My bad, there is actually even better deal. Not familiar with the store, but I think it's another couple dollars cheaper here. It came to $34 with shipping for me, beating Amazon by $2.

I love pretty much the entire collection. I just hope the seller don't balk. :dopey:

Edit: lmao at awesome speed machines racing still in package.

LMAO - yes - they were taken in the package - but now that you mention it - they are fast looking.

Can't find a pic of the blue R8, - never took a pic of it I guess - still on the Wall.

No 599, though - and definitely not a TH.

EDIT: POP QUIZ:

Decipher the licence plates:

Here's the picture of the Hudson Hornet that is usually on the pegs. (The Hornet, not the picture)

Here's a Speed Machines 599:

And another angle:

Here's one of the older cars in my collection - not purchased from someone else - but purchased new - and now old.

Well, the numbers for every car in the series are printed on the back, number of the actual car on the front. ;)

Yeah, I figured. Hopefully they are nice set. :D

R1600Turbo
a6 is right. Stamped number on front of baggy matches printed number on back. No touchy feely necessary.:dopey:

Edit: thought I would let everybody know that WalMart.com has the 2012 Boulevard 30 car set for $100.

Thanks for the tips though. I'll do that method instead of being a perv feeling a car .
When I go back, I'm thinking of getting another yellow Aventador. 👍

And Walmart is selling the Boulevard 2012 Series with 30 cars, including exclusives?!?!

Hmmm....I'll think about that deal, but I'm mostly going for certain cars though, so it's mostly a no go for me.

MedigoFlame
I made it an unspectacular 10,000th post. :P

Curses -AOS-, now I'm going through eBay looking at Tomicas... Also, has anyone heard of the company, Furuta?

Still, congrats Medigo.

And a new company emerges to the scale lineup. Hmmm, I wonder what's next.

Kyosho is an extraordinary brand. My paint friend has ordered some and they have amazing detailing and accuracy, and indeed they do a lot of race cars. You can also look for CM's Japan if you like Kyosho-style cars, they do a lot of Rally cars, which I know are your weak point, AOStina, but they are harder to find.

Here are two I have:

I also have this CM's Miura:

You can also look for stuff by RealX, but their range isn't as varied as Kyosho or CM's; I have a couple Skylines from them:

and Autoart also makes awesome 1:64s, but they are more expensive. I'll take pics later of the few I have if I can find them. I myself have some Kyoshos, but they are 1:43 scale. Still awesome.

I know my friend has pictures of his Kyoshos, I'll ask him for the links tonight, so you can see them.

O_o Those Skylines!!!!

Thanks Cano and everyone else, now I'm gonna be even more broke than I am now after seeing Kyoshos scales and the Maisto 240Z and Viper GTS in the Scale Model Thread earlier! Look at those race cars and Skylines......

Yesterday I stopped at flea market that I've been past almost everyday of my life. There was a large room full of 1:18 scale cars and boxes of Hot Wheels. When I went in, I told my girlfriend "Now, I only have $6 so we can't get anything." A call to my mother for some money and $42 later, I have increased my collection by about 50 cars.
The more cars you bought, the more you save and my purchase worked out to be 67½¢ a piece! I priced them all and they're worth over $110! The 7 Hot Wheels 100% and Hall of Fames I bought were not part of the deal however at $2 a piece. Plus, I found so many that are on my want list from when I was younger. Pictures will be up either tonight or tomorrow.

You just hit a goldmine McZ!!!! Love the classics though. 👍

You guys have done a really bad thing to me by making me aware that Kyosho makes 1:64s. I guess that's where all the high-quality HW-scale non-domestic cars were hiding. I'm in trouble now.

I'm crying right now, imagine if I had all of the RL cars and the scales..... I need a bigger garage and a bigger room for them!

Wyvern_64
I'm innocent! I swear!

okay, I'm keeping one

So, I see......... Yeah right. :P:lol:

Man, if I had the cars you wanted, those Vipers could've been mine! Dude, Wyvern. You're killing me and Andy here naw!

Wait, what? GTP mods collecting HWs?!

Yep, it's true, TB said he has around 15-20 something in cars. The post is a few pages back though.

Anyway, thought i'd post my latest diecast purchase, since AOS has decided to report me.. (don't know why,ha!), and by way of staying on topic, here i present "Moobiil 1"

I'm fully anticipating all your jelly comments in regards to this fine machine:

It's a Porsche 993, there's not many casts of the 993.. well unless you don't count the expensive and exact versions by 'Kyosho' and 'AutoArt', (both of those are truly awesome BTW).

Hey McZachenF1138! That white vehicle on the far right, i think it's a fire truck, can you get a close up picture on it please!?:dopey: Some collectors demand hundreds for this one!

It's not, it's a bulldozer, but lacking the rooftop and the treads,a nd not even in this shape is it worth "hundreds", you can buy a minty one for 40 bucks at most; the rarer color variations demand premium cash but the red one is the most common:

Also those Neet Streeters in the middle, might want to look at those to because i heard that the ones that say "Oldie but a goodie" on it are highly valued collectors! :dopey:

They are not, they're pretty common unless we're talking about local-market editions or redline versions, and even so, they aren't really expensive. Stop lying please. It's painfully obvious you don't know what you are talking about.

^ The bulldozer is in the picture.
Do you mean the ambulance beside it?, because that's not worth all that much either.

Personally i'd be more interested in the Challenger or the Escort, though both aren't worth that much either.. i still like them though, wish i still had mine.

Oh I see it now! Yea that is it, I'm curious to see a close up of it.

The redline is exactly what im talking about cano, im not trying to be a smarty pants here, but how i know the old ones are that have that written on the back are worth something is because one of the hot wheels i bought recently had a collector tip on the back telling about it.;)

They. Are. Not.

Every vintage version of this car since the Flying colors era has had the "Oldie but goodie" tampo written on the roof, from the redline to the mexican version. The tampo DOES NOT MEAN IT'S VALUABLE, every car from the 70s to the 80s had it.

Oh okey. Again this is just a collector tip i read on the back of a blister to a hot wheel i bought recently. Not saying your wrong but thats just what i read. Apparently it is not the same for some.
