I love the actual, real car. The model looks like crap though.

It's just that it was right there, at work, where you don't expect to see a toy. I just couldn't resist making an offer. :P

Well who doesn't love the actual one eh? :P

Lucky lad.. Now expect to see more toys at work

Actually, most of the cars from back then are really weird, fantasy type cars. You should do some google search, as majority of the models I've seen are really crummy, or strange looking.

Yeah agree with that! I... for example have a model from 1983 that look-a-like to a BMW M1 but renamed to Wind Splitter with weird thunder tampo. Honestly they're all weird, weird names, looks etc.

Everything seems to be improving a little since 1990 and above... Post 2000 are all owkey :)

Googling hot wheels myself, I found this!:

6a00d8341c630a53ef0133f.jpg

Apparently, it was an April Fool's joke by Mattel, and there is nothing inside the box. It's packaged to make it appear there is an invisible jet inside, also weighted.

Yeah! I honestly would love to own one too... That is one rare card. We can be rich for owning that, well I doubt it

They are nice. Especially the rear of the Corvette.

At my work, this vendor is doing a hot wheel promotion, so with every delivery, they bring in free hot wheels, right? The thing is, they look really strange, like they are from a third world country or something.

I never buy from this company, but this kid had few of them, so I was looking at them. One of them was one of my favorite, BMW 8-Series from when I was weiner's age. So I trade a soda for it:

This isn't my picture, but it's exactly the same model, packaging. The strange design of the packaging & the model? I read the back, it's copyrighted in 1991. The frigging hot wheels this company's giving away, they are nearly 20 years old!

As it happens, I own one of these blue 8-series, as well as an all chrome limited edition version. They're awesome.👍

Found this old thing!

This one I got in '06 I think. It's a Matchbox and it kind of has a suspension. I don't really know if thats a common thing with Matchbox-essesse-s-s.

I love the Pacer. I'm a big fan of the xB/bB, but I hate the Hotwheel of it. If I find a Hotwheel or Matchbox one that's been done properly, I'll buy it. I didn't know about the removable body though, that is kind of cool.

After we moved, i got a new shelf, and put them all up again.

Was at home on Saturday and dug up this from when I was a kid: De Tomaso Pantera
Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics... :yuck:

I plan on restoring it (white again), maybe even with factory authentic paint? It's in good shape besides the chipped paint and the fact that when I was 6 or 7 I thought that painting the wheels white was a good idea.
It's a Matchbox Superfast series. I have no idea if it's rare or special at all, but it was my absolute favorite when I was a kid!

Thanks Ahmad and SVX!

And turboash I have the same car except in a bit better condition.
I wouldn't say it's anything special and is quite common. Looks really cool and deserves a nice restore though.

Yeah, the model of the xB is pretty crummy, I picked it up pretty much just because of the funky clear body and roll cage. Only realised it came off when I got it home. Also, can't complain for 50p :P

The Pacer was cool. I tend to go for American cars if I see anything interesting and that fit the bill.

I made a small diorama.
Have a look.

The diorama will get a tree and a plowed field in the future.

I love that Porsche 911 speeding with photo shop, i love the entire diorama in general, are you also going to add signs, cops, or traffic vehicles? like creating a 5:00pm traffic jam that's bumper to bumper, Or a cop sitting on the side of the highway, and a car speeds by! so many possibilities. Keep up the great work!

Anywho.

So i went car hunting at wal-mart, targets.. Got me about 19 vehicles. :D

(Hot wheels speed machines) Cadillac Le mans racer, two Ferrari 599s (black, silver with black roof), Lamborghini coutauch, Audi R8.
(Johny lightning) Pontiac GTO, 1985 Pontiac firebird, dodge Viper SRT10, Plymouth GTX, Corvette Stingray,1967 Shelby GT500, chevorlet chevelle,

I walked into the local Target today to check for the GT5 demo and stopped by the hotwheels. Nothing new but did find a lonely '67 Camaro convertible from the Classics series hanging with the rest of the cars. No other Classics cars anywhere to be found, so I scanned it on the price scanner and it said "item not found".

Carried it up front to a cashier and had her scan it. Came up not found again. To my surprise she said "guess it's a dollar". :D

Thanks. The Porsche is driven by a ghost too 👍.

And right now it's a bit small to put any interesting signs, but I may extend it and I'll take pictures of many different kinds of cars on it.

And like I said. Getting a tree and a plowed field

OMG with the Transit and TracAvant, I did not know that Matchbox models. Great score dude, awesome for the price!

I have the Pacer but it's gonna see restoration, it's all covered in marker. mine's the red one, tough. I think the blue one is the really rare version, so you REALLY scored.

Also, awesome DeTomaso Pantera, only recently did I get ahold of one for myself, in good condition. The wheels will need to be replaced, but othwrwise seems in fair shape.
