Yeah Tomicas have been spotted in America and Europe. But only sets not single cars.
I think they're testing the market.

Still nothing for me though...
I'll probably get Tomica in about 20 years at the rate we get things in Slovenia :grumpy:

Great finds Cano. Always interested to see what you turn up!

A few I bought today from the local market:

Renault 4 Fourgonette (Majorette). Suspect you'll like this one Cano! Can't tell what the original markings were. Could be the French postal service, "La Poste".
DSC_0634.jpg

Ford Focus WRC (Realtoy). Really detailed model, Realtoy seem to be producing some very high quality diecast at the moment.
DSC_0635.jpg

Fiat X1/9 (Corgi). Nice model, but rear bumper is unfortunately damaged which I didn't realise when I bought it.

And a few of the collection:

Nice find man, I have two, both of them in similar condition to yours. I have not been able to find it in good shape for a reasonable price. Both are headed for restoration (one of them will have to have new glass made, it's that bad. I dont remember the variations, but it might be the post office car.

Yeah. Also look for a widebody Peugeot 206 WRC (without livery) in red. It's as detailed, and way cool.

Fiat X1/9 (Corgi). Nice model, but rear bumper is unfortunately damaged which I didn't realise when I bought it.

Weird, I have never seen a corgi with those wheels. Nice find, pity on the bumper.

Just found the 2011 Hotwheels Premiere '69 Copo Corvette, nice car with a lot of detail. When did they start releasing the '11 models? Must have just arrived!

Just out of interest is it worth keeping Premiere's on card or open it?

Robin.

I've frequented the Hot Wheels Wiki, and that's a 2011 New Model. One of the other new models is a Dodge Challenger Drift Car, but not all of the cars featured have been confirmed yet.

We got that Corvette a couple weeks ago. I always get excited when the next years models come out, you never know what will show up.

Well it's been a while since I last posted here. My collecting has been on a break and will probably continue to be like that for a while. I get mad at the prices in the stores :grumpy:

But I have some good news! I got some cars for free!
I started talking to another Slovenian on a model forum thingy...
He said he's not interested in 1:64 and offered to send some to me!
Well soon after I received a package. Containing my first Johnny Lightnings!

And a Porsche that did not survive a minute before being ripped out of the packaging. I like it too much!

:dopey:

Next is the most interesting car I got.

Havoline28NASCARRaceCar1.jpg

Contains a lame customized version of NFS: Porsche unleashed!
I find it funny how they didn't include a porsche

I also got a Hot Wheels Chrysler 300C.
It's the only long card I have, so I'll keep it boxed.
And besides I'm not a fan of the bling wheels.

Chrysler300C.jpg

And that's it. Proof that there are good people on the world... although at times it seems like there are not a whole lot around.

And no worries Cano... I released the Mercury Cougar and Corvette soon after I took the pictures ;)

BUT WAIT.
There's more. I bought some stuff myself too.

First up a very nice T-hunt... been disappointed at the quality of T-hunts lately. But this one's really good!

57ChevyT-hunt1.jpg

I also bought two maisto's

AudiA81.jpg

And this one was too silly not to buy.
VW13001.jpg

And the last one for this thread is a Majorette. Just a Megane... conveniently painted black so you can see I didn't clean it up before taking the picture.

RenaultMegane1.jpg

Have fun!

Nice cars there matey!

Out of all aside the Porsche, I really love the sheer details on the Havoline #28. I think I have never seen a car, a race car with that sort of details to the decals and everything. Brilliant!

Found that very same thing today. Apparently I'll need to begin collecting 2011 models next because my 2010 (and a couple of older) muscle car wall is full...

That full size image is bloody huge by the way

I also have three Treasure Hunts I bought just because they're T-Hunts... if anyone is interested in the green Mustang in the bottom row, a pink Custom '53 Cadillac or a monstrosity called Gangster Grin let me know.

Nice on that Porsche, man. I have been chasing the JL 930 for a while, albeit not intensively, without success. And for free? come on.

You bet. The guy, who sent them to me collects 1:43 mostly concept cars.
I'll have to find something to repay him or something.

Cano, sorry on the late reply for getting pictures for my collection. I haz pictures, but the computer isn't reading the SDHC Card I took them on (chances are the laptop I have, an Acer Aspire 9410Z, isn't compatible with them). I have an Imageshack ready to go, but for now you'll have to wait.

If all else fails I'll just steal the Wii SD card out of the Wii we have and take the pictures using that, then upload them to the laptop, then the other thing. Sorry for the delay.

My collection's grown though: the Tyrell P34 six-wheel, the F-150 are among the newcomers. My Speed Machines Reventon bent (now it's a Re-BENT-on) an axle, so it's deaded, as is the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (but that's because it got lost).

Most recent stash. I accidentally bought another of the vette c6r's. I wanted one that I was going to open but didn't realise I already had an extra one. Have a few kyosho 64's on their way as well soon.

photo16h.jpg

This is my friend's custom... A Ferrari 599XX-R F1. One of his best customs to date! I think you guys might be interested in this ;)

Ah, nice to see you got the blue Falcon. Those are harder to come by in here than the yellow version ever was. haha, I still have you Falcons here all wrapped up and all, but I've been stupid-busy mate, really. Come december I'll be somewhat free, so I promise to already send those out.

And that Ferrari custom is pretty wicked.

Wow, that's really impressive! 👍

Cheers,
Jetboy

Indeed mate! He has made a lot of customs from GT R34 Safety Car to this Ferrari and his latest as of today the ''Mona Lisa C-West Sylvia Tokyo Drift''....

I really wish I could do the same... He has a tremendous skills!

I've still only seen one yellow falcon and one blue one so far. Everyone seems to be snapping up the gt2 and 458 as well as I'm finding more shelves packed with new 2011 cars rather than new 2010. G37 was hard to find as well.

Still need to find the blue 308, megane trophy and reventon roadster but i'm not sure if they are 2010 or 2011 cars. Shelves are also stuffed with old speed machines still so I'll be waiting a while I think till I find some mclarens.

I still want the cars you got me so whenever you are free just shoot me a pm and we'll work it out.

I found a Callaway C7, '56 Mercedes, 911 GT2 and in case I didn't already have it, C2 Corvette Grand Sport.

Come on Paulie post some pictures!

Anyway some absolute impeccable timing today. X5 hunts and x1 being a super. Some other new and older cars I came across as well.

Also thought I'd post up the 1/72 s1 elise I picked up and the 1/87 350z RC car I had bought a few years back that is brilliantly detailed.

I want that 57' Chevy super T Hunt. I have the regular and really like it. 👍
A question though. Why did you buy three of the same car? I suppose you could say that it's because they are T-hunts, but really these days they are not what they used to be. Or so I'm told.

They are a lot more common than they used to be but they usually are worth something more than your regular cars. I usually just buy hunts even if I have them as I can then use them to swap for other cars I'm missing. I'll likely keep one regular and one super and get rid of the rest.

I was comparing the super to the regular 57 chev and bar the wheels I can't find any difference. Usually the super has different paint.

it has different paint, the $TH version (btw, darn you, I WANT it) is spectraflame (more metallic), and the normal version is just blue...

and yes, I'll send you a pm when I'm able to send them over.

I'm going to check them all again. The two I compared both had metallic paint.

yeah, but the $TH is way more brighter. The Spectraflame effect is attained by polishing the metal first then apllying over the bare mettal the metallic paint, so it SHINES. The normal TH has a regular metallic finish.

Yeah Cano's right about all of that. Spectraflame looks really good.
Maybe you can't see it that well inside the package or something, because I can
quite easily distinguish between the two.

I like the wheels too.

E-Bay makes me happy.

Closer. The ambulance, the trucks and the red Dodge D50 are mint. The Real Rider Rampage is pretty good, but it's missing it's rear-mount motorcycle. Im already finding one for it.
stuff3.jpg

At last the Dumpin' A in good shape, the weird fire dept thing with the yelow canon is dead mint, and the orange trash truck is a Mexico-made car from the local fleamarket.
stuff4.jpg

The standout here is the Wonder delivery van, which is DEAD FREAKING MINT and really, really difficult to get. The green Oshkosh snowplow is also mint, and has the metallic bed instead of plastic.
stuff5.jpg

The crane at the front... I've been looking for it for years. Really, YEARS. It's almost mint. Other standouts are the green Z and orange Twin Mill from the Flying Colours era,and the two Matchbox/Lesney trucks, both mint.
stuff6.jpg

If you know your HWs, the pink Spoiler Sport will immediatley jump at ya. But it's not real, it's a custom!! It comes undone from its base and the tampos are actually water decal replicas or the originals. It had fooled me until I noticed that the paint didn't reflect a thing (it doesn't have clear) but the tampos did. It's very well done. I'll be putting clear on it to preserve the tampos. No one complains about the red 57 Chev and the blue flamed Super Van, either.
stuff7.jpg

Pepsi and North American trucks are mint, so are the two variations of the ice cream trucks above, and both London Buses from Matchbox. The redline Supervan is real but comes apart from it's base. So off to be restored it goes.
stuff8.jpg

I've been looking for the Long Shot, that white semi in the center, for YEARS. Finally. Now to hunt down both Mexico-only versions and I'm set.
stuff9.jpg

In this picture we can see some of the most trashed cars of the lot, most of which will be restored. But we also see the Thunder Roller, that yellow truck with the eagle. At LAST, I've been looking for it for years.
stuff10.jpg

We see the custom pink Spoiler Sport again, but also a minty Ferrari and the #13 Jeep... I'm starting to collect that casting, it's awesome.
stuff11.jpg

The Flying Colors Jet Threat is amazingly well, as are the fire chief patrol, the tanker and many other cars. The blue van is a Scene Machine from the Simpsons (you peek trough it's back window and there is a transparency of Bart which you can see at counterlight). Missing is another Simpsons Scene Machine, a yellow van with Homer and toxic waste barrels, but my wife confiscated it because she liked it so much. Gotta pay a price.
stuff12.jpg

cheers people (:

Wish I knew you were looking for a Yellow Thunder Roller... We have one (Body/pint is mint, axles are trash.)

*reviews photos* an original Jet Threat!! AHHH!!!!

Cheers,
Jetboy

Seems to me it's kinda weird that nobody noticed that the C6R is the rare one with the Corvette GT2's actual paint.

If you have two of those, you are the luckiest man on earth.

This car is officially awesome. I haven't seen a more detailed scale since that C6R up there in that photograph.

I've got 3 actually and left one on the shelf which I wondered if I should get it anyway. It is pretty much my favourite hotwheels car due to the detailing. The one I opened had damaged packaging so figured no harm in just opening it anyway.

Got another Hunt today thanks to a friend. Baja beetle. That just leaves me with x2 hunts left for 2010.
