Got these a few days ago,

Some Corgi London 2012 racers, I love the chrome paint job and they are really high quality plus a Hotwheels Curiosity Rover and Rally Mini. Did you guys across the pond ever get the Olympics/Para cars?

Is it me or has HW improved there tampo quality control massively this year?, for the last few years most have been quite terrible (smudged, not aligned, poorly printed etc) and suddenly they look immaculate.

Robin.

Is mars rover still rare or not any more ?

I've seen a few around. None lately though.

Went to K-Days this morning. Got there at 8:30 and was handed ticket #458. There were 20 boxes for 30-40 people, and of course my number didn't get called to go through a fresh case, just my luck. I was one of the last people to get called to go through the leftovers. :(

Out of those 20 boxes, only 1 of them had a Super TH in it. Bunch of people found the Carbonator TH, obviously they were all gone before I got to finaly go through some cars. Left with the Custom Galaxy I was mainly there for, picked up the grey Chevelle for a future custom, and the Aston Martin DBS for....some reason. Probably should have left it.

That sucks. I'm sorry to hear that man. Carbonator's one fantasy TH which I wouldn't be interested in usually, but I'd definitely break that thing open, and open some Mexican pop bottles with it.

Edit: I'm thinking about buying another Furai, with same packaging, list it together with my error Furai on eBay. In you guys' opinion, is error cars like this more profitable to sell on eBay initially, or wait until they've been discontinued by the manufacturer?

Soda, hell I would have used mine to open the beer sitting in my fridge. :P

And about the error and eBay, not really worth it honestly. Might find someone to trade for something, but I doubt it would bring much on eBay.

I don't drink. I tell people beer & football's overrated, but that discussion usually don't go very well, at least not in this country. I should've been a Muslim.

Not looking to get rich off it, obviously. I just want to play this "game" on eBay, start it at say whatever the minimum-minimum starting bid is, go from there, see what it would fetch. :P

Honestly soda's not any better for you than beer.

Yeah throw it up there for $1 + $3.50 shipping and see if it goes anywhere.

It should be worse, but I like it.

I'm gonna pick up another Furai, take pics together, list them together for effect. 👍
allin one night, one store :)
Yeah, I did see everything except Angry Bird & the Rover in stores last night. :P
eeewww mexican soda

wtf is wrong with you dude?
I'm a diet soda drinker? I'm not watching my weight, but I HATE the over-sweetness in my soda. Once in awhile, I miss the old school soda I remember from when I was a kid growing up in Japan. American soda used to taste good to me, but maybe in the 90's or so, they started to taste funny to me. I'll have a Coke or something, and it taste yucky.

With Mexican Cokes(sold for around a buck), I don't know if it's the sugarcane sugar(corn syrup in the U.S.), or the glass bottles, they taste more like the Coke taste I remember from back when. It's true! :dunce:

Yeah Cano he means the Coke bottles that are made in Mexico with real sugar. Not the Corn Syrup we get here.

Oh, I get it. I have seen Mexican brand soda. I've had them years ago, I thought they were OK? To stay on-topic, yes, I'd use carbonator to pop those open, over Coronas or Sols any day. :sly:

For real? The Coke made over here tastes better? Man and here I have been complaining about Coke loosing it in the last years. I feel for you all.

EDIT: Ah yes Corona or Sol. Never. Try a Tecate, or if there is a way to get some, an Indio. Yumi.

Yeah the Coke made in Mexico is quite popular over here.

I've got Bud Light Lime, it's not bad and less filling I think than Corona.

So a bunch of friends recently made the trip to the LA Convention and returned home fully loaded, as you might expect. One of them, which is also one of my best friend in the club bunch, brought me the Matchbox Taurus Wagon new in box:

which he knew I had been looking for for a damn while, and "a surprise that would make me fall in my butt", in his words.

Well turns out he posted the stuff he brought from the convention yesterday and we were chattin' in MSN commenting on his stuff, when I get to this pic:

Yeah the bastard bought all those. I immediately went over the RX-3 and he spilled his beans: he bought me one, in white with black overfenders, just like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aoshima-1-6...721?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5d35d76f59

So yup, I'm happy.

If I somehow ever make more money in my life, I may go on a shopping spree of old RX cars. It will be hard to contain myself.

That Mercury Sable wagon looks awesome, would love to find one for a friend who's obsessed with his Sable wagon.

The Tomicas...must have!

Anyways, seems like some new Matchbox cars are out:

Not Racegrooves, just some random guy taking a video of his cars. Couldn't find pictures...

Knew about the red Hummer H3 coming out, but I didn't know about the purple 911 Turbo 996 with 5 spokes!

Magic: Super Ninja sounds like a new Kawasaki bike or something.

It does.

Damn those are all killer. Especially the 2000GT set.

I have three Fiskers, but they are from like a year ago. I don't know what the difference would be. Did you see the new Raptor I picked up last night? Definitely not as cool as the original release.

You might seek help for that. That'd be beyond eccentric.

@ Cano. I hope you plan on molding the hell outta those wheels on the Aoshima RX-3.

@ commodoreben. Ohh, those illustrated MB boxes bring back so many memories.... Had the Chevy van, Corvette, Mustang (several) and the jeep, never had that ford pick-up though, but had several flairsides. 👍

[EDIT]

Weird Jeep box... i always remembered the boxes being quite square (depth and height), whereas that box looks a little thin.... The Jeep had large off-road wheels (quite high, same as that Ford mountain man pick-up), how did it fit in that tiny box?
