As I said - I was flying through, Andy, but I'm heading over tomorrow to have a better look and maybe take more pics. After which I'm going to drag the Dept Mgr down there and ask him why he's selling Maistos as HWs.
It actually is serious Retail Fraud - if someone with the right connections pushes it.
Name of the store?
Well, let me investigate further first. This could be infectious - the guy (or guys) responsible for this could be hitting many stores in the area.
Also - recently I've noticed that the HW aisle is increasingly adult-heavy - the strangest guys standing in front of the pegs going through the cars.
Well, actually . . . pot . . . black.. . .
That's a good idea Harry. This swapping cars is getting out-of-hand, seriously, these cars cost from $1-$3, why not just buy the cars and be done with? I hope these 🤬 thieves don't do this to model cars.

Pretty much it. They're too cheap to spend $3.50 on a car to sacrifice the wheels like we do, so they pull the ol' switcharoo and return them and get their money back. The BIG problem here is that typical store employees don't know any better so they just take them back.
The best thing you can do if you find them like that is take them to Customer Service or a manager and let them know what's going on. You'll also see this happen to 10 packs and sometimes 5-packs. Someone on HWC posted that he found in a local Target store someone had purchased the Hot Ones multi-packs, replaced the cars with the normal $1 mainlines, then returned them all.
These people are a disgrace to this hobby. They better hope I don't catch them in the act because I will make a fool of them right there in the middle of the store.
👍
Why does every hobby or career always have a 🤬 idiot, moron or wacko who just ruins things for everyone else and typically labeled and stereotype the real people behind it all?!
Whoever joins or been in this hobby for years, haven't done something this down right dirty. 👎 So if a person who was searching for a car for weeks, months or even years, finally sees the car they want and when they observe the blister, it is not the one they were looking for, but a swapped car?! They will be fumming mad.
I never see this crap before, but I seen cars stolen from their packs and the blister or half the card is missing all the time. I hope this doesn't happen in Vegas, it it does, someone needs to put a stop to this before it's gets worse or begins with other items like games or something. Some people.

Harry: When I'm looking through Hot Wheels stuff, where I live, more adults get in the way than kids. It sucks, because with the adults, you can't just go "hehe, do you guys like candies?" to scare them away. And they might answer "yes", then I'd have to shoot them outside.
Jason: It's so pathetic, I'm past beyond getting mad. It. Is. Soooooo sad.
Yep, more teens and adult guys/men are the ones I usually see inside the Action figures and HW/MB and model car asiles, but I never seen this chaos, we mostly get along or a debate on which brand is the best (no fanboyism in the debates). And if they heard about stuff like this, they will be putting vilgance with a passion.
And sometimes wonder where are the girls/women are at in these asiles on in the gigantic toys stores.
