It was only available in multipacks, so a bit harder to find. There's usually one on eBay from a particular seller that always ways like $9 for it.

Yeah those groups that are fortunate enough to get a logo on a Hot Wheels car always get a handful from Mattel prior to the models release.

Makes me wonder what do they actually do with the cars, sit on the desk ready to roll around when bored or to hang up on the office walls.

But that cool that HW is working with the Import Scene's and Muscle/Hotrod world's best garages and tuners with some impressive cars. Now they need to do Mine's and Top Secret 👍.

I saw a Holiday 240Z going at around $2.40 on eBay yesterday. Auction was ending soon but I dropped it since I decided to not buy a few things so I don't feel so bad about buying more expensive castings that is the Kyosho stuff.



But in other news, I think I'll be listing off another lot sometime soon. I can definitely blacklist a few more castings after taking 740 photos. I might be able to lose another 20 cars or so.... a good number of which will likely be Boulevards and Hot Ones. Anyone hyped?

I do like those, especially the Boulevard cars. I think I already have all the ones I've been after though. Off the top of my head, I have like only two that I need: That 1920's(or older) looking car + blue 67-ish Camaro.

Hot Ones, I still need cars like Countach, Esprit + the usuals(Rabbit, Toyota truck, Supra, etc.).

Packards were built just across the Ohio border from me in Warren, so I know a thing or two about them. But my knowledge is still very limited.

Scored a nice vintage real rider lot. Should be here Monday. It was overhead picture so not sure if the cobra(s) in the lot are white hubs or grey. Also, a nice collection of Leo hit ebay, alas they are all properly listed.

So while I was on datoybox, I learned that Kyosho had made 1:64 SLR McLarens and was so stoked to go add a couple to my cart, only to be told they were sold out.

In other news, is $ 15 cheap for a $TH?

I spent this morning shopping, and it was a near-disaster. Same thing on the Hot Wheels front:

I hit a few stores this morning and didn't come home with a damn thing. My local Target still doesn't have any new cars. Every time I go I scan one on the price scanner to see if there are any in the back room and it keeps saying "Stockroom: 0".

I hope the Targets that will be here soon will also have scanners like that. I think large department stores should have systems like that too.

I didn't know that price scanner indicated inventory status. I've asked clerks, and I know that they are able to check it on their handheld, but no, I didn't know that those unmanned scanners were able to do it also!

P.S. I forgot to note. Those two loose cars are from the nine car set. Been wanting that Camaro(w/ginormous blower) for awhile, but I could never find one with enough decent cars in the set to spend $10. I was gonna buy my buddy's son a gift today,and ended up buying the set, storage case, added few more hot wheels cars to it....... and in the process, robbing the Camaro I've been after.

I grab whatever Tooned Z28s on the web I can find. The only one that wasn't from the web is from those 10-packs-like yours-except mine was blue.

BTW, I'm thinking of dropping my Chrysler Firepower. Do you want it? Paid a buck twenty for it IIRC. It's probably mint and is FE.

I just grabbed the Firepower out of the set, as it was like only one other car I didn't mind having out of the 9 cars.

I did see the blue & white Tooned Camaros, also. I hate it that Hot Wheels are selling them only as part of the set.

It's 9 cars for $10.

It's a draw. Mattel still got their money, but I figured I'm gifting the cars to a toddler, I get to cherry pick the car I'm after. Get 'er done.

I made it my goal to stay in possession of 200 cars or under for all of this year- 250 tops. This doesn't count duplicates via carded collection, errors, nor customs.

So far I have recorded 16 cars, about 7 more to photograph and about..... 134 cars (includes dupes) coming in from ebay within the next 2-3 weeks. That means I'm allowing myself to buy roughly 50 more cars for the rest of the year. And it's not even February yet! No more online shopping for a LONG time, Andy.

Also, while I'm at it, does anyone want a hot wheels avatar? The website at the moment only has 2012 and 2013 card graphics so there's a very small selection to choose from.[/color]
