1/64 Model Collectors Thread

Way this hobby is growing, I'm sometime surprised by the limited numbers of displays & storage solutions available for these cars.

If I knew how to work out the business side of manufacturing, I could make a mold, prototype, and outsource that to a Chinese manufacturer to mass produce and sell them to you guys.. but if I knew how. I'm probably going to have to take a business course in college 2 years from now.

Picked up some special goodies today.

Thrill Racers Silvia S15, 2010 New Models R34, OH5SP variant of the 2007 All Stars 350Z, and both variations of the Web Trading Cars R32's.

All for $3.50 from the collector's store that sells them.

Woah dude! A R34 from 2010 and that gold R32 (I got the black version) and that Z33!

Does that store carry older cars from the early 2000s up to 2010 in Hot Wheels and Matchbox?

I. Want. That. 2000GT! I'll totally horde the mainlines! And that R34...also a must have.

Tell me Kevin! I WANT THAT Solar Red 2000GT and BOTH Zamac and Black Pearl R34s.......

With all those wheels being put to good use, I figured I'd throw in some that couldn't be.
I actually believe they came off that '57 Chevy Roadster thingy. I'm probably wrong though.

I was on holidays back where I used to live visiting friends. On the day I was flying home I had to be out of the hotel about 6 hours before the plane left. I remembered a Antiques and collectables store that was near the airport. I nearly didnt go in there. That is where I found the Lamborghini and the Matchbox Viper. Ill also try and get a better pic of the BMW car today or tomorrow for you. I also got a 1:18 BMW M3 that was raced by Peter Brock and Jim Richards at Bathurst in 1988 to take pics of so keep an eye out for it in the model thread.

18 yuan ain't cheap for us though. The US gets them for 97 cents (6.031 renminbi), Canadians get them for $1.37 (8.519 renminbi). Not sure about Europe or Australia.

They're about $2.70NZD here in NZ.

Thanks for the info SVX!👍 Unfortunitly they don't even have the car im wanting on there. Luckly I plan to do other vehicles in the game and that link has good pictures of them.

EDIT: They use some of the same smilies as what GTPlanet uses.

Those Focuii, although they're aren't my cup of tea, will be probably my best chance at getting one. Only ever seen one HW Focus in my life, at an overpriced supermarket.

Anyway, I spent too much money tonight ($33) but considering I probably would have spent that or more getting stuff shipped to me, I think I did ok. Averages out to roughly $3.66 per car. No pics because I don't feel like setting up the camera, editing, uploading, etc, etc. Too lazy for that right now.

Dead serious. A-Team, lame. Smokey & the Bandit, obligatory. Easter Oldsmobile 442 & the JL Fire Dept. Jeep Cherokee's about the only two that I like. Ken Block Fiesta for a friend was kind of a nice find, I guess. Been looking for that one for couple of weeks.

What I got:

Wow, it seems even that store understands the value of those Initial D cars, but just barely.
I really REALLY want them, but I don't want to pay $100-$200 for them all.

Taking a break from the awww-someness that is the 12 Hours Of Sebring to update on cars I recently got:

Datsun 240Z



Only interesting cars I could find. There was the Hot wheels edition Camaro, but it was in the exact same colors as the ZL1 and I'd rather have one in different colors so I don't confuse it.

Not really. All the Porsche's run the GT banner at the Nurb 24hr, doesn't mean we're getting those in GT.

Except this isn't GT, this is Hot Wheels and last I checked, pretty much any race car graced with Hot wheels on the side = 1:64 produced (same goes for many die-cast companies on certain other cars). Now stop messing with mah dream.
