I wish they did that with a Black Escalade. That would be cool. :D

Got 3 packages in today.

All the free stuff from the guy on HWC:
- Zamac cars #4, 5, 6
- Pink Boneshaker
- Bump Around
- TH Fast Fish 👍

Ebay purchase(s):
- AE86 (black & white) with white rim wheel variation
- HW World Race 24/seven new in package. Stolen for $10. :sly:

I went to that place that is in front of RCR, and while it is filled to the brim with toy cars, due to it's location, ninety percent of the are NASCAR replicas. I did pick up a couple of cars though, including the Bel Air Gasser.

I got a Escalade Blings. If I paint it black, wanna do a trade?
I'm gonna pass. It's not that I have confidence in your ability, but I just googled a picture of it, I am not impressed.

Nope. I got tired of R/C cars because the damn wheels would never be perfectly aligned so they'd never drive in a straight line. On top of which, there's a clear sign I like craftsmenship over engineering when I tell you that when I was 10 or so, I was going to be given a giant $99 VW Beetle R/C but asked for a $20 1:18 '98 Dodge Viper RT/10 instead.

The idea was fun and all, I used to- well, I still have my Xmods Supra which I custom painted and signed. Still looks kinda good for the middle-school ol' me who used masking tape and crummy paint. I'd like to sell it for a ridiculously low price to get rid of it though. Wanna buy everything I have for $5 or something?

I also had one of those tiny R/C cars, those were cute. I made a tiny parking lot stage, and try to recreate the experience of the parking lot driving test in Driver (PS1), but the car never had power to brake traction and spin out. THAT was fun because I remember making oversized speed bumps and a ramp that led to a 1" drop off. The car itself couldn't turn for beans, lacked torque to go up speed bumps, battery power died so fast and most of all, never drove straight.

edit: There's an R/C Thread here I believe.

I haven't been into RC since I was a kid!

You guys ever entertain idea of diorama kits for the 64th scale? I do. I know Harry often do.

Main problem of course is that, they are not that easy to find. My problem is that, while I'm not looking for top quality, I don't want to put any work into them either. I've been after something just cheap, so-so quality set that would serve as a background when taking pics of loose cars.

I've looked on eBay, and they are usually overpriced. They are not on Amazon, at least not when I shopped tonight:

Animal House - $8 Not really a background, but has one of the best looking cars out there + 3 figures(people). I think I took the last one though. :P

American Graffiti Downtown - $9.99 I've seen this being used by a eBay seller before. Since I plan on using it for similar purposes, if he see it, he'll be 🤬 Oh well.

American Graffiti Metropolis - $9.99 Only other in addition to the "Downtown" set I could find by Motormax. I'll take it! I forgot, there is one more to be found, but it's a clone of this set, just with British theme & a Mini, but twice the cost!

As you may realize, over $25 of qualified purchases get me free shipping as well. Works for me. :dopey:

Wow, it seems even that store understands the value of those Initial D cars, but just barely.
I really REALLY want them, but I don't want to pay $100-$200 for them all.

I know right? I want to get the AE86, RX7s, R32 GTR and the LAN Evo III. But I'm not paying a AutoArt or any up scale model car price for a 1:64. :(

R1600Turbo
Now this.....this is awesome.

👍👍

I love it! This gentlemen, I call a collection, storage, conversation piece and a work of art. Wait until Cano or Harry sees this. :sly:👍

Do any of you guys have interest in RC cars?
Like, serious ones?

I use to have RC cars before. That's was when I was around 4 or 5 years old back then. They were usually trucks and off-road/baja vehicles, excellent for off-roading and mud driving.

I stopped messing with them when I got more in-depth with Hot Wheels and model cars and that was when I was 10 years old. I'm want to go back soon, but there's other priorities in my life and hobbies as well and to get the best ones, even the entry level ones are costly (no $25-100 RC cars that I had.)

I want to get involved with the drift RC cars the most. They are really sweet and I have seen a few that I want with a S15, FD3S, AE86 or a R34 shell just to mess with. Mostly a electrical one that I can charge up, not the nitro ones yet.

But one day I'll get one. :D

@SVX: Hey, I know that college can take the most of your time, but I glad you visit still, whenever you get the chance.

Yes, I'm a Subie fan as well. That's why I am jelly of that Legacy! And your name says it all, pretty obvious ;).

@RCK: Love the 930 Porsche dude. 👍

You guys ever entertain idea of diorama kits for the 64th scale? I do. I know Harry often do.

No but that blank space garage I used to use can be considered one.

I know a seller that does sell diorama pieces if you're interested in that though.

Hey guys. I finally got hold of a Custom Caddy Fleetwood and if you haven't touched one yet, would it come as a surprise if I told you the casting is plastic/plastic?

I'm partially let down because I'd have huge amounts of appreciation if it was at least a metal body. It still looks nice as it is, except as soon as you pick one up, all the prestige imagery that comes along with it quickly dissipates and you immediately feel dissatisfied.

Well needless to say I am pretty happy for myself.:D I Went to Wal Mart Friday and scored 3 zamac's and that little bumper car and I also got to see Kit Kringle's new location!:D

I would upload pictures but Photobucket is not working for me right now.:grumpy: If my computer could load pictures like it loads advertisements, I would have had them up already.

I wouldn't say that.;) In all honesty what is happening is I select the photo's I want to upload and tell it to upload them and it loads everything on the screen including the ads but for some reason it stays at 0% no matter how long I leave it alone.:grumpy: Not sure what is going on here, my internet connection is fine, sounds like photobucket is having problems.

I'm an (extremely casual) collector with a tupperware full of beat-up cars from my childhood. I have nothing really to share, but I was poking around and traced back to this post from VspecZR1GT2RS89's response today.

Whaaaat? :dopey: I've never even seen a matchbox-scale Legacy, much less a wagon, or MY WAGON (though I have a BK flat roof 2.2). That blue BP wagon is incredible, too. Most attractive wagon ever made, IMO.

Hi, Wolfe - Welcome to the discussion.
Beat up cars, you say?
Hmmmmmmm.

:)

Wolfe sounds like me from couple years ago.

Photobucket: To be fair, Photobucket does work well for me most of the time. Having said that, their name should be changed to Glitchbucket. :D

I'm set for now, but I'd still love to check it out!

Edit: I got some beat up cars.

Flickr has never given me a single problem, I don't know why no one uses it.

All I know is Jarrod's Yahoo thing sucks, because the pics displays really small, and when you click on it, it asks you to log-in. :ouch:

P.S. I'll try to get pictures taken for whatever cars I have available sell/trade today.
