Jason: Sweet R34. Too bad they messed up the rear a bit.

Doth: I thought so too, but it's so weird. It's black in the center with gray smear surrounding them. Maybe it's a chase model, a Super Treasure Hunt(j/k).

Picked this up tonight at Walmart:

These were also there:

I knew if I didn't buy them, I would never see them again.
But I didn't buy them. Pretty much because $15 on three new cars just didn't sit right with me.
So I did what any collector would do, and hide them behind a Cabbage Patch Kid. :D

The Carvel was a cute series. It's like cases only ever ever one half of the entire selection... My walmarts carried the other 3 Carvels and I only bought the Bread Box. Because Bread Box. :3

Know what feels worse than paying $15 for 3 cars?

Paying $50 for 10 cars. The price is the same but the difference in numbers is quite astonishing. I mean, you guys would expect only $10 for 10 singles, but here we have a $40 difference! Guess what I bought that time? :sly:

That is a sweet frigging car. 👍

I've never hid any cars, or honestly, anything at stores. If I'm not gonna buy them, I wouldn't get in the way of anyone else who actually wants one.

Ford GT40: Thanks for the info guys. 👍 I have the Twin Mill(II?) from the same series, and absolutely love that one. Very happy to find out it was from the same series, and it's my favorite GT40 regardless. :D Too bad I got it loose though. Packaging is as cool as the car!

If not actually a believer of 'Cause & Effect', you must then be a man of considerable honour.
:) 👍

As for the GT40 . . . please . . .

I haven't bought anything in a month. :ouch:

At least it feels like that.

Except for that time I found a $10 bill on the parking lot. :P Seriously though, you can't win them all.

I know the feeling........ but for last year or two, there hasn't been a month I didn't buy a car(maybe even couple of weeks), so go figure.

That must have been the 'reward' effect from a previous 'worthy' cause. :D

My work at the moment doesn't permit me any time for recreational shopping, and meanwhile I'm hearing from you guys here about all the new varaitions. Bah!
And now, off as usual to play chauffeur to school-going dependents . . . :)

Not at the moment, but you ain't a hipster though.

Regarding the hiding of cars, on occasions I'd snoop a little for any hidden cars. Debunk those selfish fools.

The black R34 is awesome. Jason, will that be a mainline recolor or wtf?

Also, about hiding of cars: I find hidden cars all the time. One of the two Ecto 1s I ever found was hidden. A KITT too. A month ago I found a hidden Mustang Funny Car TH and a Scooby Doo van. My best score has been 7 THs pulled out from their hiding.

I once hid a car, the First Editions Michael Keaton Batmobile. If I remember correctly (more than 10 years ago if I remark well), I hid two of them. Came back to still find them the next day and brought them home.

If you'd going supermarket shopping, hide them in a completely different department, somewhere where staff are unlikely to pick through when cleaning up. Inside a shoebox, between a stack of towels, on the risers, or even hiding them underneath the aisle stands. No one would go through the dust bunnies to get something :P

Honestly, hide it if you need, but bring some damn money with you so you don't need to resort to that!

Yeah, has never happened again since then. And I just put them behind some HW track sets in the same pegs. Of course that was ten years ago lol, today there are a lot more people in the hobby, so I'd be way more cautios if I had to hide something today.

If you needed something and couldn't afford it at that moment, take it anyway and walk around the store to look like you're browsing other departments. Hide whatever it is in there and make sure no one was tailing you the whole time. Be the smarter squirrel and hide your goodies when no one else is looking.

Really only purchased for one car that I wanted:D

Awesome Holden Ruff Trek. 👍 I've been meaning to get one for the longest time but I always get distracted and end up buying something else instead.

I'm missing just one th this year :)
How you guy doing?

In terms of TH's? I've only got three (Fat Fish, Camaro SS & Circle Trucker) But they were the ones I most wanted anyway. So I'm happy. :D

Well, I must say you've come a long way from snatching cars out of kiddie hands.

If not for your amazing knowledge of diecasts, and your incredible artistic talents, I'd be ashamed to know you.
