Wait wait wait, I see what's going on here.
The big Cayenne is the 1:64, and the little one is cheaper than a Hot Wheel. Very clever. :P
I'm just kidding here. ;)

I'm interested in hearing how much Hot Wheels cost around the world.
I suppose I'll start?

The general price here in the US seems to be about $0.97/$1.09, and $0.92/$0.89 on sale.
The most expensive I've ever seen was $1.79 at a drug store.

Hot Wheels here in the Philippines cost 1.80 USD or so.

They are sold in TRU and our very own Toy Kingdom.

The small Cayenne in the pic is the 1/64 RMZ, and it's a pull back action model. I almost got fooled when I first saw an RMZ 1/64 model. I have mistaken them as Kyoshos at a first glance.

Here are the pics I promised you guys.

I also picked up this Matchbox Gallardo Cop Car.

You will. It doesn't seem to be a repeat of last year's.

Mine is already stripped of paint and queued for a future custom. :D

Good news for me! and who ever else is from NC on this forum!, There is a new(pretty massive store) that opened up here in greensboro Speciallizing in anything that has to do with japanese hobbies(it's called TokyoHobbyconection) They have (rather limited selection(for now) of Tomica,Tomica limited, Kyosho 1:64-1:18, HI-Story mini cars(Vary few), J collection, tamiya, Aoshima, ARII, NEO, but no ebbro(but thats cool cause i already have a ton of em) etc, even sell manga and anime Box sets also figures etc... That store is a gift from god, It's off of west wendover exit near Lamborghini Carolinas and Sheetz gas station beside Rolex ETC you can't miss it,Giant stylized banner with kana morphed into English, store is located directly on north battle ground avenue beside Acme comics which is near Hobby town USA. But be weary, Prices are still as high as what you will find on ebay.

Iv'e noticed ever since Greensboro landed Honda Jet incorporate, we've been getting a slew of new Japanese marketing in the city.. interesting, i wonder what else will come. though my prayers have been answered of a Japanese hobby shop.

Though i will still remain shopping on ebay, until the store gets an even bigger selection.

You and A6 are real lucky though :P. I mean I don't think they have stores that sell JDM "toys" and other cool products here in Vegas, maybe in the Chinatown area or Korea town from what my older niece's friends. Some of her friends are huge anime and magna comics fans, which makes me feel lucky :), but I'm not sure about the cars though. :nervous: Gonna check around those areas later, cause if I go now, I'll probably be broke.

Even if your stores don't have the stuff you're looking for, you are lucky STILL. Maybe they will supply many different cars and sweet items later though.

We need more things like these stores in the States, even more of our stuff and the JDM, Aussie and Euro treats as well.

RMZs are cheaper than HW...

Woah, I'm impressed. The RMZs have that Kinsmart 1:32-36 scale look and quality and pull back. And cheaper than HW in the Philippines!

If they sold them here in the States, they will be in the $1.50-$2.00 estimated, who knows until they do.

Didn't get a Kyosho this time (though I am eyeing on one of the R390 GT1s there...)

Anyways, this is what I brought home today:

Look what exists: Commemorative Edition.
That's a definite buy. And a definite hoard. If anyone finds one, grab it for me please? That's if it's under $5. Should be anyway.

I have a few already (stay up-to-date, boob), but I haven't seen the london bus before.

I remember seeing a Hot Wheel (what used to be a Corgi) on ebay once like that. It looked pretty awesome! I will try and see if I can find it again.;)

Definitely. "Hobby" stores in this country needs upgrade badly.

That's "the' Matchbox I'm after, but unfortunately, even the lesser rare(still rare, and yes, there are two versions) bus is going for I wanna say $20? I have the standard one, so I'm not going to pay premium for this 60th version either, but I look for it every chance I get.

Almost makes me regret not pickup bus the beat-up one I for on eBay for a fairly inexpensive price. It definitely wasn't dirt cheap.

When I was monitoring eBay, I think I saw few decent loosies for reasonable prices.

Perhaps time to show off my bus again:

I think I stole it, or got it for nothing from my kid brother years ago. :P

Edit: Looks like the regular bus(large flag) is going for $10 + shipping, chase(shiny) for $20 + shipping.

I seen something like that at Kit Kringle recently as well.

EDIT:Here is the Hot Wheels (what used to be Corgi) Routemaster Bus I mentioned earlier.;)

Been looking through the RMZ diecast models and I have to say they look pretty good. Although I don't think I'll ever see one in stores. However, I was able to find a 1:32 scale BMW M5 (F10) at a local grocery store! (Posted in the scale model thread)

Not sure when to go out and look for the J case stuff... And speaking of that, Johnny Lightning is so horribly let down at Walmart here... There's only ONE car...ONE! And they haven't bothered to restock for a month or two. (And yes, I haven't forgotten about trying to find those JL cars for Cano :P)

Dude, ask and you shall receive. What do you want? I'll tell Ahmed, he's like my official dealer for those things. He has '10 Camaros, Vette race cars, Lambo Murci SVs and some Hummers, lol. We'd have to go see if the GTR and the WRX are available. Yell now if you want some but be prepared to get more cars we can't get our hands on in here (:

That'll be fine, but just how much are they? GT-R, Murcielago SV, and current STI sedan look great and are probably the ones I'd love to have. Maybe even add the Gallardo SL. But yeah, I'll definitely add more to your box with w/e else is exclusive to the US.

Edit: Maybe the E63 AMG as well?

Edit2: Cayenne and 911 Turbo looks nice too... :dunce:

All the way. If there was more of these type of stores in the States, think of the money they can make from people. From diehard collectors like us and even to mainstream, mostly Black Friday or holiday seasons, sell things cheaper than larger stores like TRU or Walmart. It could take off like a 1,000hp RB26 or a 8.4L V10 TT (pun or analogy was intended) especially selling imported goods. 💡

But the real question is how would these stores handle this and their competition though, plus with the economy and other financial problems? :nervous:

I'm jelly nao!!! :P A F10 M5 from RMZ, in a grocery store in the States?! I'm shocked .

Was the store a Kroger store chain where your brother found it or was it a different one? This can be a great thing if it's part of the latter. Then I can find something like the F10! :D

We'll have to go see what's available, as not all of the models have reached the store in here. We'll try to go this weekend and let you know wtf is up. You could also tell Ahmed what the heck you have available, as you're going to be doing business with him, lol.
