Boy, the lot is just so huge. I bet you could get rid of them if you sell them individually.

I don't know about you guys in Canada, but I received a email from eBay earlier this week how it'll be free listing starting I think it was Thursday? I listed bunch of cars I had sitting around. Generally, it's free to list upto 50 a month, but I was also selling off more of my Rod Strickland(#9 all-time assist leader!) basketball cards. This new offer that started Thursday, I believe bumps it up to unlimited listings. 👍

Don't make me laugh, Shinji. I included some popular castings deliberately to help get rid of the unpopular ones.

I see a trend of castings that are always on eBay and they never sell. Even for .99, no one buys them because people genuinely don't even want them. For such castings, I tagged them for $.25, slightly more popular/valuables for .50, then $1 to $2 for unpopular premiums like the Boulevard VW Beetle. Somehow, the total comes up to be just over a dollar per car anyway.

Never considered it, but having a look, I don't think Kijiji nor craigslist (in Canada) is a popular site for hot wheel collectors tbh.

I've looked in there once, and nearly connected on one. If you insist on selling them as a lot, I think it's a viable option.

I've mentioned to you guys in the past that I combine shipping for free, in attempt to get the bidders to bid on multiple items. It doesn't work. I actually think it's due to the high(er) starting bid I almost always place on my auctions. Every batch of listings, I may have one guy who buys more than one.

From next time on, I think I'll switch to "free shipping". Again, with high starting bid, I don't see that working too well either, but it's good to switch it up once in awhile.

P.S. I got handful of bids, but they are all carded cars. Nobody's interested in loose, I don't even have any watchers.

I'm interested in loose cars. Free shipping gets great attention. But people know low-priced shipping means high-priced items. It's usually that or vice-versa. When you work out the math, the better choice is to aim for buying lots of low-priced cars with high shipping from a breaking point and beyond. Anything under it will sell better if the shipping is cheap and prices are high.

Cleaning the spare bedroom downstairs today. I use it for sorting usually, but it's become so full if crap I'm giving it a good going over.

I'll take your bike frame. Been meaning to own a road bike for once.

also, any word on that list of castings?

The word is "searching"

with my weekend cleanup I'm hoping to have the majority of my collection in one room. Then I'm going to sort out doubles. If I'm smart id start a list, but being truthful, I'm about eight years late!

I don't know how big your collection is, but I reckon it's possible to have it done in a week's time. Do it on Google Drive like me.

Love the story behind the table. That Tempest Chevy Panel's really growing on me. I've been after a Panel that actually has the bike(in the back), but it's been a really slippery one, and I don't want to pay the high retail. It's really popular.

I like the TVR, too. I've never even seen one of those!

Edit: Just to clarify, Tempest does not have a motorcycle in it either. I'm not 100%, because mine's in a blister, too.

Nice stuff, mate. Especially the Ford pickup's. 👍

Thanks guys:tup: I went and checked my Garage 30 set Chevy Panel but nothing in it:(
The TVR's only the second one I've seen, I got one in a 5-pack a while ago thats black with a red stripe along the bottom & Ford pickup's were another $5 opening bid win, really nice castings both of them:)

Hey, I've got that same '57 Chevy!

That was one of the cars I really wanted out of the lot, love the flip open front on it:tup:

Nice grabs there wyvern & R1600, more Veyrons:drool:
Great Greenlight RCKakashi and the F&F cars AOS, also some great lots on eBay mate, some really cool cars in those:eek:

Thanks guys:tup: I went and checked my Garage 30 set Chevy Panel but nothing in it:(
I have the same set! I've tried going after Panel with bike couple of times, but like I said, they are quite slippery.

That's like 60% BS, Canoe.

Jarrod, slow down. I used to to buy and buy and buy til I exceeded 1000 in a year.

With the 500-some cars I've eliminated from the collection. I think I'm down to 510-560 cars now. My box full of cars waiting to be customized is a quarter of that size.

Cano, you know that it doesn't count since you've said yourself that you buy lots like that with selling in mind as well. :P

I gather variations are somewhat intentional, but errors are just that, errors.
I'm not into errors or variations, but i must admit it does have an unusual appeal, glad i found it. :)

yup:

That was one shipment for a month. Not that it happens every month, but it has happened.

Told you you were fibbing! That's a lot more than you said you buy! That's way more than 170, anyway. You're secretly 'stocking up', aren't you? Does Ahmed know about this? Is this why there hasn't been too many pics from you lately? You actually have close to 7000 now, right? (Or more?)

At this rate you'll overtake a6m5. Unless he starts collecting.

Talking about errors . . . here's a fact:
