I found it among the 1:18 AUTOart boxes in the Yodobashi Camera dept. store in Akihabara (I would love going back to Akihabara!), and as I purchased it, the cashier just smiled at me, as if he knew that it's a rare item (or perhaps a fan of Initial D)
I've been to Akihabara, maybe couple of times. I lived in Yokohama, and have visited Tokyo countless times, as we are right next door, but I was more into comic books, toys, etc. more than electronics, so I never even bothered begging my parents about going there. Very cool "get" Kakashi. 👍
and the Goodyear Chevy Panel A6, have to get myself one of those, that thing is cool:drool:
I recommend it. It's actually one of the cheaper '55 Chevy Panel(at least on eBay), and half of them don't come with the bikes, but of course this one does.
Just so I can get a sense of how available it is here, does anyone have a Peterbuilt Truck?
I don't even know which model that one is, so I'm certain I don't have it.

99 cents.
How much shipping? I thought I got a good deal on that, but it was like $10(maybe less), and I did notice the price dropped recently. Oh, well. Can't win 'em all!
If you find the rally RX-7 for that price, let me know.
Lowest price I've seen on it I think was $13(shipping included, of course). Same model as the Tomica Limited version Jarod the Magic Johnson has.
For the lazy kids:
Thank you.

That's gonna be one of those $20 regular treasure hunts.
Considering how easy it is for me to get a regular treasure hunt at the Friday meets, I'm not worried about not getting it. May cost me about $5-6 to get it, but that's cheaper than eBay...
Hook a brother up. If you can.

I forgot to tell you, I ended up cancelling the RLC 240z preorder. I just wasn't feeling it, put the cash towards those M2 stretch rods instead. :P

That RX7 repaint is very very cool. Also lol regular THs. I've found like 15 of each that's shown its face here. Hell there was a time I left 6 behind. I won't have a problem finding it at all. regular THs don't seem to count for collectors here, and for good reason. There's nothing special about them, really.

240Z > Stretch Rods. :P

Mexico is not the USA. You don't have hoarders/scalpers.

$8. Really, I was just lucky no one was looking for them at the time. Case and point:

This is from a different seller. I thought they were the same at first. I also missed a listing on an RS200, but that doesn't matter because some dummy put $10 on it on opening bid.

you wanna buy them for me then? We'll trade: your TH for my donors.

240RS is nice. I've been looking for Violet(Datsun), but it rarely shows up on eBay, and when they do, I usually have something else going.

Hey don't forget a HW brother here!

If they have more than one, care to pick up one of those TH SA22s for me? One can do me just fine. 👍

Faaaaaaalse, we have more scalpers than ever. You should see the prices of mainline F&F Chargers and Supras, and the enterprise  But people just don't care for the regular THs any more, they don't have anything special going for them anymore, so they don't sell well at all, and with all the TV stuff coming out these past months, they couldn't care less about them.

Lol noooo, I don't want any more donors. Tell me what you could trade if you really want THs, I can send you a Bread Box, Camaro cop car, Circle Trucker, Lincoln, and I think I even have a Fast Fish; and of course, more as the line ups hit the supermarkets. I also have several THs of years past, still with the green line in the card. Ranchero, Willys, Tucker, Chevelle and Malibu, and I think I even have a Mustang Funny car.

:( I think I was expecting other THs. I have most of what you already listed. That's okay though. Thanks anyway.

Your list is already a mile long.

And he would do one mile more.

da-la-la!

Oh. Wins 4 CMS cars, seller asks $27 for shipping. Economic from Hong Kong. What the 🤬 ? Is this person so butthurt about them being sold for $1 that they want to make back money though shipping charges?

screenshot20130605at120.png

$22.75 shipping for 20 loose cars doesn't sound like a bad deal, does it? The sucky part is that all the stuff I want from toyworldtx-usa are marked up high since no one else has 'em listed. :grumpy:

On the bright side, it's better than "Hey dad, those are chase Routemaster Buses. We'll be taking those off your hands. Now. Thanks."

Yup. My eldest son is into die-casts, and he is in Uni, but whenever he comes to visit he tries to raid my stash. He's already nabbed a few of my cars. While he is into the larger scales, he also grabs higher quality 1:64s, and the Jada Tracksters have amazing detail and sturdily made - baseplate screwed on, etc, etc - and he took the Supra I had in the package - now I have only the loose one. :( Not enough.

Supras are always a treat. Nice Trans Am, too. 👍

;) Thanks . . . I've showed them before, but there are new members in here, and I can never resist showing my Jadas off when someone mentions Jada.

Thanks Harry! I just started filing hot wheel pics into a new folder labeled "hw". I wasn't thinking about public traffic, but it was for myself, as I was starting to have harder time hunting down my older pics.

My account is just a free account, so although I sometime cry about their reliability, I'm really in no position to criticize(though I am forced to watch their 'commercials' lol). I don't know what kind of problem you are having, but I hope it gets better for you soon, a paying customer!!

PB is not the only image-hosting system I use, but I have been with them for quite a long time. They are usually reliable enough for the purpose I use it for - Foruming - and haven't gone down too many times since I began using them years ago - less half a dozen times - but usually when they are trying some big 'improvement' to the site. There is also a community in there that's been in there for years, as well as the other services they provide as well as contests, etc, that make it a little more than just a library of one's photos. My Premium account there gives me 20 GB more than what is given to a guest, but I pay $30.00 yearly for that privilege anyway. What interests me is whether you were using the various editing and 'shopping tools that PB provides; you seem to be making some very nice collages.

@Cano . . .totally agree about the 'fake' 'Regular' THs.
Also: something to pick your brain with:

What happened here? The packages are identical.

Also for your viewing pleasure:

A couple of spectras:

Brit Speed ahead!

And a FE edition that might be all too familiar:

So I've spent the whole morning on TTP and eBay... asking questions up and down.

It seems you can't ask two questions in one message because they only respond to one with the exception to one seller. Don't even get me started on the poor grammar and lack of punctuation.

I can't believe they would practice ridiculous shipping rates. No combined shipping? That's the first seller I've come across who DOESN'T offer this. 10% discount? Big freakin' woop. $35 is ridiculous to ship 5 cars.

If CMS models cost in the range of $9-$10, then they're probably selling those low prices and deliberately not offering combined shipping to make you pay for the rest of the car through that. HK can ship stuff for free (in case you guys aren't aware). There's another seller that offers free shipping on all CMS models, but the cars themselves cost at least $9. They are also based in HK. This is how I came to such a conclusion.

I paid up anyway because it worked out to be the same if I had bought it from that other seller. If there's a seller who won't leave you happy, it's happy_and_handy.

This is an example of sellers making up for the price of the car in the shipping costs as you said. Happens all the time. You think, "wow, that's cheap" then they screw you with the shipping. I laugh at those sellers and move on.

Edit: Speaking of, no shipping notice for my Celica yet...

Edit 2: Veyron up to $7.

Show them to me again in a few months, it'll be new to me again.

Only time I edit with PB is to un-rotate the images turned sideways by the uploading process. I just cut/paste images together on MS Paint. :D

I hear ya. Been there, done that.
You can't trick me Harry, this one IS new..... and very cool. 👍

He probably did have that in shipping info though, right? Toy Peddler seller seems to handle those combined shipping, anywhere between above average to ABSOLUTELY A-PLUS. My experience with eBay sellers has been hit & miss. I recently went back-n-forth with a Japanese seller selling Kysho Testarossa & F40. Both cars I've coveted for sometime. Shipping discount was just $1 off combined, then he didn't have the discount set up properly on eBay check out, so after going in circle couple of times, I just backed out. I never committed to buying them though. He really wanted to sell them to me, but you have either give me a deal, or at least be punctual. I graded that seller with a "FAIL".

I just got a 'thank you' message tonight from someone I sold my hot wheels to. He bought three from me, cost me $6 something to ship it, charged him $5. Although I lost some change on postage, I also threw in a bonus '67 Camaro as a thank you gesture for making multiple bids on my auctions. *pats myself on the back* He gave me a good feedback too, and that's all I can ask for!

Bottom line, I think it really pays to research the shipping charge structure beforehand.

I just didn't think people still practice lowly methods. I'm over it now.

Just won a purple MR2 for .99, but lost an FE Ferrari 156 by 50 cents. During the last 6 seconds I was thinking to increase my max in case, but I kept thinking that putting a max bid would mean the bid would jump straight to that, but I was wrong. My last bid was $5, someone got in with $5.50, and I was a second too late to raise it to $7. Should've did 10 in case they did like 8 or $9. If I won that - even at $10, I would've paid kaprice immediately and get those two shipped. I had a bed record with this person in that I didn't pay up since I had more items to bid on. He/she opened a case with this - first time someone opened a case on me.

I got stung many moons ago on ebay by not checking postage...it is a mistake you tend to make only once ;)

I am the same as you RS, see a silly postage price and move one.

I when I used to buy many parts for my VW Golf back when I lived in the UK, sellers were really bad for adding high postage prices. It put me off ebay for a while!

I'm sure your son is a very nice person, Harry. But not cool, tell him to get his own.

Yep, same here too. 👍

I've never been on a receiving end of something like that. I may get screwed every once in awhile, but I'll never screw someone on a transaction. Communication is very important. I think I have over 740 eBay feedback, and I may have a neutral feedback or two, like from years ago.

Here's a bonus eBay story:

I sold this refurbished Onkyo DVD changer one time. Buyer says it was arrived non-working, missing couple screws(again, refurbished), and threatened to file a complaint. He was flipping mad. I tell him to calm down, I will take care of him, regardless of what might've happened here.

I call UPS. I tell them the situation, "guy says it's non-working, etc., but you probably don't cover something like that, right?". UPS says that they want to look at it, they will pick up from the customer, then they will let me know.

*** UPS is a great company, I have to give them much deserved props for their professionalism....... but they get screwed here. :D ***

I get message from UPS. Sorry, this isn't our fault, we can't cover this. It sucks, but it is what it is, they ship the DVD changer back to me....... in pieces.

Apparently, they absolutely destroy this thing either in process of damage claim inspection, or in transit back to me. This time, they send a inspector to my work(where I shipped from & received back), take a look at it, they cut me a check! :embarrassed:

I couldn't believe how lucky I got on that one!

Because they tore your dvd player apart?
Thing looked like they dropped it from the rooftop. I can't believe the claim inspector would destroy it, then put it back in the box to ship it back to me, so I'm thinking it was damaged on the ride back from the UPS(inspectors) back to me.

What is with these crazy scams on eBay?! The sellers trying to drain everyone's wallets, checks, credit/debit cards or something? I would love to shop around on eBay, but I'm taking it with a grain of salt until I find a legit seller when I begin.

R1600Turbo
Your list is already a mile long.

I know right? :sly::lol:

But I'm putting effort to find the newer and some 2-3 years old HW and MB cars, still finding 2011-2012 as I speak. So I'll keep the blacklist down as possible 👍.

So the list is good. And the cars listed are hard to find, since I checked everywhere. ;)

AOS-
And he would do one mile more.

No way, if I did that. Jason will kill me! :scared::lol:

So the 1 mile list stands legal, unless I run into the listed cars or the HW fairy leaves them under my pillow..... Now I'm sounding wild now... HW fairy..... :odd:💡

@Harry: Love the photos, but I like the Monte Carlo SS more, Jada Toys right? I'm gonna keep my eyes open for one. 👍

And your oldest son getting some freebies on cars from your garage. 100% discount on the cars right?

But I'm with Jarrod. Tell him to get his own or store up on doubles like a factory.
